When my main dish finally arrived, my partner’s meal took another solid 30 minutes to come out. After receiving his food, I requested more pita bread. The server acknowledged my request, but when I flagged her down 15 minutes later to cancel it since I was done eating, she admitted she had forgotten to place the order.
We decided to skip the pita and go for dessert instead. Ignoring the warning signs, we waited another 20 minutes for it. My partner tried to get her attention again to inquire about the dessert, and she seemed forgetful, saying she would check. Eventually, she returned to say the kitchen had lost the order. At that point, we felt it was likely she never submitted it. She offered to have it ready in about seven minutes, but we were too frustrated by then and just asked for the bill.
We were surprised to see an automatic 18% gratuity added to our total, especially since we planned to leave just a minimal tip. After waiting over two hours, we wanted nothing more than to leave. It’s hard to say whether our server was having an off day, feeling tired, or simply lacking energy, but her behavior—the distracted interactions with other tables and her odd pacing—really affected our overall experience.
My advice? Consider visiting during lunch when it might be less crowded. The service could be better then."
