"I ordered the Tonkotsu Chashu Pork Ramen, which is a staple I usually try at all ramen places. Unfortunately, the broth was a bit watered down and didn't have the creamy texture I was hoping for. The egg was basic, the noodles were not served hot, and the chashu pork was steamed rather than charred, although it was still above average. There were a lot of bamboo shoots in the dish, and the spinach was just okay.
This place isn't really designed for families; everything is served to go. You have to ask for chopsticks, which seemed odd since everyone was requesting them. It’s the first ramen spot I’ve tried outside of San Diego, and while it satisfied my hunger, I suspect that SoHo’s main draw might actually be its bento boxes. There is some nice art around the SoHo sign, too. I'm glad I stopped by for lunch, but I'm still on the lookout for another ramen spot nearby. For now, it’s back to San Diego. Arigato Gozaimasu!"
