"Beer 4 Service 5 Food 3 We stopped here to have a beer and grab some takeaway for a concert at Red Rocks. We ended up both ordering the Citrum IPA spruce and lemon zest!!! Excellent. We placed an order for two fried chicken entrees. According to the menu, it came with a biscuit and slaw, which we thought would travel well. We also ordered the popcorn as a quick snack or beer sponge . It was very flavorful, and quickly gone. Not a very large serving. The service was super nice. Laid back attitude, but understood we needed our food fairly quickly for our concert. Great balance. I was a little disappointed in the entree. First, it came with some sort of collard ? greens with a really heavy cream sauce, which had congealed into a pudding by the time we got to our parking area 30 min . It was still warm so I tried it, fishing a piece of collard green out of the goo with an extra crunchy piece of chicken skin no utensils or napkins were provided, which I thought odd . The collard pudding tasted pretty good, and was probably better hot, but there was still an untenable ratio of goo to greens. I would have much rather had the slaw that was described in the menu. The Biscuit was huge, but over done. The bottom was actually black. Thankfully, it was thick enough that splitting it in half and slathering with a bit of the honey that was provided was a nice sweet treat, just not as good as I was expecting. Now to the chicken. I like nice crispy skin on my fried chicken, but what should have been golden brown was blackish brown. It was also a bit greasiest than I was expecting, but I let that slide a bit since it sat for a bit before we ate it. The actual chicken meat, however, was very tasty. We each got 3 pieces, and it was PLENTY of food! I would give this place another try if in Boulder again, but would probably not try the takeaway again."
