"This was our first visit at Kathleen’s and likely last! We ordered our appetizer and our main course at the same time, but asked that they hold off on our main course so we can enjoy our appetizer wine. After finishing the appetizers, the server brought our meal. My 4oz steak was luke warm, fries were cold soggy, the halibut was so so! They were not busy when we arrived (only 2 tables occupied), so there’s no excuse for fixing our main course and placing them under the light to keep warm! Our dinner was not worth it, for the price we paid!"

"This is a great bar and restaurant. It has a fantastic beer selection, consisting of draft and bottled beers from Belgium, Germany and right here at home. It’s probably about ten pages long. There are plenty of red ales and sour beers, which are my favorites. The only place in DC I know with a comparable list is Pizzeria Paradiso, and I think this list is better. The food here is overall pretty simple and inexpensive Belgian pub fare, but very well done, and in some cases it well exceeds the “pub fare” label. There are traditional dishes like mussels, and pommes frites with a variety of mayonnaises, but there are also more unusual ones as well. I haven’t found anything I don’t like yet. My favorite is a simple plate of tomato soup and cheese waffel. I could probably eat this every day! The vegetable dishes are always good well executed and interesting. I usually don’t have room for dessert, but they’re more sophisticated than you might expect, and they’re very good also. I recommend the chocolate ice cream sundae, where the chocolate is melted onto the sundae at your table. Overall, I think the food here is as good as or better than Le Diplomate right up the street, where you can hardly ever even get a table! Here, you can typically walk right in with no reservations, although you may have to settle for bar seating, which is a little tight but actually quite nice. "Out of towners who made this our super swanky meal of our trip. We came in with high expectations because of ratings and awards. My wife got the sea bass and me the filet mignon medium rare. I cook alot my own steak so I am a really tough judge. Anything above a 9 is great score from me. The filet got a 9.4. Cooked just right and not stringy/chewy. A 9.4 mostly because it was $70. I am not use to those prices back home! They surprised us with a complimentary birthday cake for me even though I didn't want anything showy. Waiter was really good adjusting to our needs and answering questions. I told him I drink alcohol fast and to bring drinks out quicker then most ppl allow. Particularly, it was a holiday weekend and I wanted to feel good. He did not disappoint. I had 3 beers and a double of whiskey with the steak. We spent $300 for two ppl includes tip."

"We had hoped to dine outside with a view of the ocean, but the strong wind forced us to eat indoors, which was disappointing. The restaurant had recently replaced their tables and chairs with plainer, less comfortable ones, which I did not care for. However, I do appreciate the dark wood decor and the bar. Although I have enjoyed better meals at this restaurant in the past, the short ribs I ordered were not as good as what I make at home. The mashed potatoes and carrots that came with the meal were delicious. The other three people in our group enjoyed their meals. Despite these flaws, I still have a fondness for this place, especially when dining outdoors."

"I don’t know where to begin to describe such a gloomy and obscure place. I will begin with the waiter, lady in black just scaring.. continuing with the elevators in which you have to pray to God to arrive safely… Now the food, the crab is only a tiny piece in the middle of tasteless melons. The duck came completely cold, we asked the scary waiter and she stared at us like in a terror movie… overall I would have gone to the Tower of terror in Disney.."

"I've been a fan of J. Fleming's since they opened. The food is excellent, and the staff is very friendly. During my visit, there was live entertainment featuring upbeat Jimmy Buffett music. They experienced a staffing shortage right before dinner, which caused a bit of a delay, but the team worked hard to accommodate everyone on a busy Saturday night. I will definitely keep returning. I highly recommend trying their grilled pork chop and chopped salad."

"We have been here before and always sat on the deck- most lovely. Tonight we were sat in the basement and it is a basement, with some minimal design. The cheese and artisan meats plate was OK, the olives had no flavor however. The Hummus plate was spot on and well done. Then the came the entrees , lets just say not a great evening, zero for five... the best selection was the tuna nachos, the other four did not get more than 1/4 consumed. the Curries just missed the mark, Carnitas was served cold and atop grease fried masa and the steak lettuce wraps were just not well presented nor enjoyed. We will go back based on other experiences and give this restaurant one more chance- but go when the weather is nice and sit out side. The service was solid as well, the greeting was polite and efficient at the front door."

"We went to the restaurant for brunch on Sunday at 12:30. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The only downside was that the waiter appeared to be more focused on attending to all customers rather than sticking to assigned sections, which resulted in slow service. However, overall the service was good and friendly. This was my first time dining there and I am looking forward to visiting again."

"I was there yesterday and decided to have a dinner dish that was Chicken and Shrimp Franciase, as shown in the photo. I was here a few times and received proper service, but this last time was exceptional and fast. Delicious dish I highly recommend plus for a reasonable price I could not complain. Besides their dinner dishes, they also have incredibly fantastic breakfast especially the pancakes. We look forward to many more visits to this diner."

"The pancakes were fantastic! The strawberries were fresh, the pancakes were fluffy, and I absolutely loved the maple syrup. The burger was good, though I wouldn’t say it was the best I’ve ever had. It was still tasty, but we were surprised to find that it came with just the patty; the tomatoes and pickles were served separately, along with the fries. It seems that if you don’t order the "deluxe burger" or add extras like cheese, that’s what you get. We found the burger quite good with just a slice of tomato and ketchup, but keep in mind that if you prefer a burger with all the fixings—including veggies and fries—you should opt for the deluxe version or check the burgers listed on the right-hand side of the menu. I do need to mention that I wasn’t a big fan of the fries; they could have benefited from a little more time in the fryer. Overall, though, I’m glad I chose this diner for my American diner experience! Compared to other restaurants and diners, this one was definitely on the more affordable side, and I would recommend it."

"I encountered one of the rudest individuals I've ever met. Being in a hospital, I expected better customer service. I went in to grab a cup of coffee, and the man at the register was focused on trying to locate a missing check instead of acknowledging me. Fortunately, another gentleman at the counter did recognize me. However, while I was waiting, a man walked in, and suddenly, the first employee saw him and greeted him by name. He then left to fetch the usual for that customer, leaving me standing there. I eventually walked out. You’ve lost my business. There are plenty of other cafés and restaurants that truly understand the importance of customer service."

"Very fast and friendly service, the food was amazing and one of the only times I've gone to a diner with free coffee refills and the coffee doesn't taste like water.The serving sizes were large and well worth their price and I'm so sad that I found this gem of a restaurant a week before moving away from valley stream.If you're looking for a lovely place for breakfast/brunch look no further!I've yet to try their lunch/dinner but I had their Quiche as well as their corned beef hash and Caesar salad. Boyfriend had pancakes, eggs, and bacon. Very yummy 10/10 would go again.Also watching the connection that the waitresses had with some of the customers was so wholesome it made my heart explode.Just hearing one of the servers as she saw a regular and looks at him and goes Having the usual Another was talking to an elderly couple that were on a date and treating them with so much kindness and respect. You don't see that kind of genuine kindness a lot anymore.Amazing that this place has such great relationships with their restaurant goers."

"Best experiences ever. Highly recommended. I have been there a couple of times during my last visit to New York. Menu gives you a wide choice no matter whether you are having breakfast, lunch just some snacks or a proper dinner. Service is usually veryfast and waiters take good care of you refills are always done in time, food quality is always checked by them so you do notneed to worry about anything you can be sure you are in good hands. Coffee is good. Internet states they operate non-stop butin reality they close around 2 am. Opens very early. Besides traditional American food they do also Italian and a littleMexican too. Prices are good especially comparing to the food quantity and quality they serve. If you are hungry and want tospend some time in a traditional American diner with quality food good service and where you can be sure you leave with a bigsmile on your face this is your place to go."

"This is my first Google review, and I have to say that the Cinnamon Toast Crunch French toast I had there yesterday was the best I've ever tasted. "My wife and I live in the area and frequent this restaurant. The service is always friendly. Everyone speaks when entering. It's refreshing! Lately, we've been bringing our toddler son. Everyone is always helpful in getting him a highchair. They offer milk and warm it if requested. They never complain about the mess he makes. This is our staple breakfast place. The food is always good, and the servers keep my coffee filled. We highly recommend it!"

"First time here and really enjoyed ourselves! Buffalo wings were DAM GOOD!!!! Waffle was good too not overpowering with toppings and strawberries were FRESH! Caesar salad was large but very fresh and tasty! Everything was fresh. Waiters were very friendlyand helpful. We kind of stumbled into the lady who served us because the first waiter may not have wanted to. It worked outbecause our waiter was good and very attentive. Lastly I was not paying attention when paying my bill by card and intended onleaving a 10.00 tip but it totaled 16. The employee who rang us up immediately came into the parking lot searching for us. Notknowing why she was outside I honked and yes she wanted to alert me that I left a larger tip than I may have thought. I askedthe lady to leave it alone and give the waiter the entire tip. I truly appreciate the honesty and professionalism beyond wordsand would definitely recommend this place for good food and honest service!"

"I got the sausage gravy and biscuit home fries with cheese eggs. She got the pancakes, sausage and cheese eggs. Food was good orange juice was good. When you order cheese eggs remember to put ketchup on them. They have a huge menu which I like. Great place to go to late night or during the day. Open 24 hours I think. It be packed Sundays because of the church folks. But overall great place"
