Always a favorite, they have a nice variety of dishes and many of them are really artfully done. The desserts are amazing as well, don't miss out on that!

My second visit was just as enjoyable as the first. The food was intriguing, the beer was excellent, and the cozy atmosphere keeps me wanting to return for more.

This was a disappointing breakfast. My liège waffle was dry and crumbly, but the whipped cream that came with it tasted good. There were several fruit flies that wouldn’t leave us alone. Overall it was an expensive, mediocre start to my visit to DC, and I would not recommend it to anyone. View menu

Awful. Do not eat here. They took over 10 minutes after they sat us to come over and ask what we wanted to drink. I ordered a $17 salmon eggs Benedict that was tiny, greasy, so overpriced, and frankly not even good. Don’t waste your time here. Oh I also saw a manager eating bacon with his hands right off the plates of food waiting to be served to guests. Even their famous “doffle” is bad. It’s a doughnut waffle, but you’re better off going to Krispy Kreme and getting a donut for $1 than paying for this place. Would literally never go back here

Chef Bart Vandaele and Fabian welcomed us to this fantastic restaurant as if we were family, making our group feel immediately at home. When the chef learned that we had missed a trip to Belgium due to COVID-19, the staff went above and beyond to create an atmosphere that reminded us of Bruges—or at least of Belguim. The cheese croquettes were a heavenly blend of flavors, and the mussels received rave reviews as some of the best in DC. This is a great bar and restaurant. It has a fantastic beer selection, consisting of draft and bottled beers from Belgium, Germany and right here at home. It’s probably about ten pages long. There are plenty of red ales and sour beers, which are my favorites. The only place in DC I know with a comparable list is Pizzeria Paradiso, and I think this list is better. The food here is overall pretty simple and inexpensive Belgian pub fare, but very well done, and in some cases it well exceeds the “pub fare” label.
