"Our meal started off on a high note with complimentary warm bread served with olive oil infused with balsamic vinegar and grated cheese—simply perfect. For our appetizer, we ordered calamari, which was a delightful twist on the usual. The tender fried rings and tentacles were enhanced by the addition of sliced banana peppers, garlic, and baby spinach. The accompanying red sauce was delicious, and I’m confident it was homemade. While sipping her glass of Montepulciano, my sister devoured her hearty plate of ravioli, topped with the same flavorful red sauce, along with a meatball and sausage. The ravioli was very good, and the meatball had a great texture and tasted great, but the sausage was the star—it was fresh and delicious. Both of us appreciate the “basics” of Italian-American cuisine and often evaluate restaurants based on these staples. For my entrée, I ordered the Veal Neapolitan, and it was everything I hoped it would be. I savored the tender sautéed veal cutlets, which were topped with a rich mix of Portobello mushrooms, eggplant, and red peppers, all covered with gooey melted mozzarella and served in a velvety but light sauce—a perfect combination of flavors. After deciding to take half of my dish home for a lavish lunch later, my sister and I shared a heavenly slice of “Mochamisu,” which was essentially a traditional tiramisu. My sister also treated herself to a cup of espresso. Our server for the evening was Nicole, the owners’ daughter, and she was personable and happy to answer all our questions. The pacing of our dining experience was just right—not too fast but not slow either. Well done, Chioda’s! We will definitely be back, as we have found our new Italian home."

"I brought a friend to brunch because I told her that our family went to dinner on 23rd and it was fantastic! unfortunately it went down fast. not our waitress debt, she was very friendly and apologetic; she had 2 big tables and they were short busy, and she has already composed our croissant and my drink because our traitors we take so long. but we had to wait for our food for over 45 minutes and it came cold. totally unacceptable. then we had asked several people for a carafe water 3 times. When the bartender came with my 2nd blood mary, I said it was supposed to have a salted rim and would please also bring us the bottle of water. she came back with a small salted edge glass for me to pour in my drink and pour it and the filled water on our table. very rude and unprofessional! we were so withdrawn that I immediately hosted with the two (which I did not know were the manager) about the situation. When our waitress came back, we told her and our food was cold. at this point I am pleased to report that their restaurant has done the right thing. they composed our entire meal and spoke to the rude bartender. but this whole experience my restaurant wanted to show to my friend was a complete catastrophe! our waitress was professional; bartender was not. and her kitchen served cold entrees. totally unacceptable, and we didn't want to wait 40 minutes for hot escapes. when we left, we said the waitress, we wanted to type her and ask for a bill so that we can do that. then the manager apologised on the way out and said that he spoke to everyone involved. normally a manager supports the waiter and comes to the table to apologize and compensate. they did the right thing by composing, but none of it was the caliber of the restaurant I thought. my man and I have an dinner date this Thursday and I am now worried that we do not have the wonderful culinary experience we had on December 23. I would like to recommend them!"
