A crispy mix of puffed rice, vegetables, tangy tamarind sauce, and spices for a delightful snack bursting with flavors.

"We celebrated my daughter's birthday during our second visit to Sapphire, which she chose as her preferred restaurant. The food and service were outstanding. They surprised her with a birthday dessert that she absolutely loved. My oldest daughter enjoyed the Thai Fried Rice with shrimp, while I had the Tandoori Mix Grill. The birthday girl relished her Shrimp Curry, and another guest enjoyed the Chicken Tikka Masala. The rice and garlic naan were delicious too. My takeout Panang Curry Chicken was excellent, featuring red curry, lime leaves, coconut milk, and peanuts, all served with crispy steamed broccoli."

"We (party of 5) essentially had the place to ourselves on a Thursday evening so we felt super safe dining indoors. The place was recommended by my friend who used to dine at Big Suchir 's original location (inside a grocery store). They have your standard menu items as far as Indian restaurants go but there 's a secret menu item that this place is known for (must try). The Bajra na rotla (pearl millet roti) is served with jaggery, ghee, garlic chutney and a plethora other sides in a metal tray. Here are the other accompaniments (described from my POV): Baingan Bharta mashed eggplant with onions, peppers, tomatoes, spices, etc. Tomato Dal tomato base soup with crunchy noodles Kadhi milk based soup made of chickpea flour, curd and jaggery Khichedi spicy lentils and rice Chaas yogurt drink (lassi) The flavors, all very distinct, work well together. It 's also very filling! Expect that it will take some time (30 min) to get your food as these items are made fresh. There aren 't too many places that do this meal well from what I understand so it 's worth the trip if you 're adventurous."

"DO NOT TIP. The gratuity isn't paid to the waiters (verified), it goes to the restaurant. Extra source of income for the restaurant apparently. These guys are thieves. I was dealing with the manager Mr. Penal Patel after my confrontation, he is one of the rudest persons I've spoken to totally incompetent. Here's my horrible experience dining in- gratuity was automatically applied without any indication. Tipping is always optional and there is some kind of a note otherwise. There was nothing as such mentioned anywhere, and when I asked the manager Mr Penal Patel, he rudely asked me to go and speak with the corporate office and started to walk away. He acts as if he owns all the chains and that he could wrongly charge customers and get away with it. He has no regard towards the customer, is obnoxiously rude and incompetent to run the restaurant. He chose to yell and argue in the middle of the restaurant over a $10 gratuity and make a scene in front of other guests, that's how shallow he is. My purpose of going over was to understand why I was charged extra and it wasn't even about the money at that point. As a customer I should be aware of the charges before ordering and authorising the gratuity. 100% tips should go to the waiters. That's not the case and it's a way to make the extra money for the restaurant. Worse experience ever."

"Among the many Honest locations in the DFW area, this is so far the only one that has decent food. We ordered Pav Bhaji, Idli, Aloo Puri, Chole Bhature, Baahubali Sanwich, Dahi puri, and Mango Lassi. The sandwiches are amazing here. They are very fresh, not soggy, and have just the right amount of spice. We always love it. This time the bread was a little dry, and there was no spice. The aloo puri was very good, the aloo subji tasted exceptional. It?s a great dish for kids, and isn?t too spicy for them. The Chole on the other hand was terrible. The bhature were fine, but the Chole wasn?t. There was absolutely no salt, no spice, and extremely bland. Similarly with the Bhaji for the Pav Bhaji, which tasted better than the Chole. The dahi puri (not pictured) was by far the best dish of all of them. It was spicy, sweet, and tangy all at the same time. The flavors coming in from the combination is worth paying the exuberant amount. The idlis were good, no complaints there. The quality has definitely gone down from last year which is disappointing since this is one of my favorite restaurants to go to. Hope they improve once again. Definitely worth a visit."

"This is one of the best Desi Chinese restaurant in DFW. We absolutely love their food. They have lots of amazing dishes with a great taste like you are discovering delicious dishes. We had the sizzling chicken karahi with desi spicy fried rice which were fantastic. We recommend their grilled protein dishes with fried rice which is a great combination. We definitely recommend this place if you are into desi Chinese food. This place also gave a bar inside the restaurant. We definitely would be back again. Vegetarian options: There is a large vegetarian menu with lots of vegetarian dishes available. Parking: There is a huge free parking lot."

"Outraged and never going back! I tried to have dinner here last night. I called ahead to make a reservation, but was told it wasn’t necessary since they had tables available. When we arrived, we were fortunate to find one table free; it was Friday evening in downtown Oak Park, which made sense. Shortly after us, a non-Black couple came in and also waited to be seated. The owner came over, and I requested a table for two. He agreed, which seemed logical given that a table was open! However, he then asked the non-Black couple if they had been there earlier. He went on to seat them at the available table and then told my husband and me that another group was finishing up and it would just be a moment! We are done with this place and will NEVER support this establishment again!"

"I visited this popular restaurant that was open on a Tuesday, unlike some others. I arrived before the dinner rush and the place quickly filled up with diners from all over the world, including regulars. The cashier and owner, Bhumi, were friendly and helpful. I decided to try the Vegetable Cheese Sandwich after seeing it being served to another table for $11. The sandwich was presented beautifully and tasted fresh, with crispy chips on the side. I chose to have my bread toasted, which gave it a great texture. It was spicier than I expected, but the waiter offered me some sweet chutney to balance it out. I also appreciated the self-serve water cooler with great-tasting water. The restroom was a bit tricky to find supplies in, but I eventually found what I needed. I was recommended the Crown Kulfi cream dessert, specifically the pistachio saffron flavor in purple packaging, which was $3.24 and a delicious treat. Overall, I had a satisfying meal at Honest and will definitely return when I'm in the area again."

"we have been eating here for years as vegetarian and were excited to learn a few years ago that they added a separate vegan menu. our favorites are samosas, aloo palak, chana masala, aloo murmel and chapati. eating is fantastic — super tasteful. the chana masala sends me especially about the moon. we are spice eyelashes and so they order the food mild, which still has some nice heat."

"Was craving authentic Maharashtrian cuisine and left satisfied and stuffed. The lunch buffet was so reasonably priced a steal) and the manager Kevin and his brother Speriyan Gonsalwas totally pampered and spoiled us with service beyond expectations.Loved the fact that they kept getting hot freshly made thin whole wheat rotis and hot Batata vada on the table. The thecha was spicy and delicious and made me nostalgic. Been born and brought up in Mumbai I was missing Mumbai and Indian authentic local food. The kolapuri veg was just perfect blend of spices and masalas and the dahi kadi was delicious. I loved the fact that it was made to perfection. The Alu ghobi and sev masala veg both were fresh and so tasty. My favourite was the sevai kheer as it was not too sweet and yet full of dry fruits and sinfully good. ate two helpings)I wanted to try out Kotambir vada and was pleasantly surprised by the manager making a fresh batch specially for me and giving it to us complimentary.Would love to come back on the weekends to try out their bigger buffet options with more dishes and starters. We left totally satisfied with a big smile and a full stomach. Food Coma ??A must visit and it’s a perfect spot for a quick lunch between work too.Great food and amazing service!!"

"We were thrilled to try this place, but in the end it was nothing but disappointment. We went on Thursday afternoon and ordered a cheese Dosa Lassi for the children. A Chinese sizzler for adults. When we got the dosa, they had filled it with chilis that we discovered when my 17 months old and 5 years old it began to eat. The Dosa battery was also mad, which means he was old. We took the dosa back, they made a new cheese dosa, but again, old dough. The worst was the mango Lassi, who stained all the mouths, my children's clothing. They added YELLOW FOOD COLORING. Who does that? It was also a ridiculous amount of food coloring. our hands, teeth, tongue, everything was stained. My 17 months old threw everything (lassi and dosa) an hour later and my 5 years old complained about a stomachache. It was so bad. The Sizzler was okay.. not bad nothing special. If you want a place that uses a week old dough and a tooooon of food coloring in their food, this is the place. Honestly, if I read that they food coloring in their lassi or food, I would never let my children eat there. If they put it in their Lassi, there is no doubt that they add it to other things. Try another place."

"During our visit, the only other customers were three older ladies and a woman with a young child who wouldn't stop screaming. I noticed the suspected owner of the restaurant sitting at a table by the window, working on his laptop, with a framed picture of Guy Fieri on the floor next to him—perhaps it should've been hanging on the wall instead? His phone calls made for an uncomfortable atmosphere. The waitress seemed fine, though her casual t-shirt and jeans didn’t project a professional image. She was friendly enough. The overall ambiance felt rather lifeless; some light Indian music would have really enhanced the experience. The decor definitely needs improvement, and the absence of mini hanging sunshades and loud clattering of dishes didn’t help. We might consider returning on a weekend to give it another shot, but as it stands, I’d rate this experience a 4/10."

"Here’s a rewritten version of the restaurant review: 1. I ordered three different dishes from the menu. While the food was acceptable, it didn’t meet my expectations. The pav bhaji, which I’ve enjoyed at Honest locations in Gujarat, usually comes with a generous amount of butter and a rich mix of flavors. Unfortunately, the version I received was far from that enjoyable experience. 2. I received one fried chili with my two Vada Pav. When I requested an additional chili, I was informed that I would have to pay extra for another small fried chili. This was a new experience for me at a restaurant, and I couldn't help but wonder how much they would charge for just one fried chili—it seemed quite stingy for a dining establishment. 3. I'm not sure what type of oil they use for cooking, but even after washing my hands several times and applying hand sanitizer, the smell lingered on my skin. While I understand it can be challenging to match the quality available in Gujarat, and I accept the extra charge for an additional chili, I believe it’s essential to use a better quality of oil. In the end, it’s up to the franchise owner to decide whether they want to operate like a low-cost roadside eatery or maintain the reputation of a respected franchise."

"We went dinner on Father's Day. We were enjoying our meal when one of the staff members started sweeping the floor right next to our table. It was kind of awkward. Additionally when we got our check the man delivering the check kept on standing right behind the person paying for the meal and even asked what their name meant. We are unsure whether not he was trying to make small talk or make sure if we were paying a tip."

"We decided to try this place while here in the area for a while. I'm not familiar with Indian food in general apart from really basic things like chicken tandoori and samosas so I decided to try this place out with my family. I got the chicken tandoori rice bowl in mild. Sadly, it was still way too spicy for me so I wasn't able to eat much of it but it tasted good and was prepared nicely and was a decent portion size. My husband had the szechuan chicken rice bowl which he enjoyed but even as a spicy food lover, his was still pretty hot for him. My son had the chicken tandoori burger which he ate about half of and of course he finished the fries that came with it. The cocktail samosas were amazing, I had the majority of them lol. The last thing we had was the masala fries, which again, were good but a little too spicy for me. I think if we tried this place again, I would have to go there and ask questions about the food instead of ordering online for pickup."

"Located on a bustling street, the restaurant's unassuming entrance might not set high expectations, but the dining experience that follows is truly remarkable. The service, food, and ambiance are simply exceptional. We savored four courses along with a bottle of wine, all the while being warmly attended to by the staff, who made us feel valued at every moment. This place is a must-visit when you're in DC. The dishes were not only beautifully presented but also incredibly delicious."
