"This is the first time my wife and I have ever walked out of a restaurant. Party of 2, arrived at 6pm for a 6:30pm reservation. My wife and I enjoyed a drink at the bar, which was excellent. We were then seated outside at 6:30, and things went downhill. We saw 2-3 servers/staff stop and look at us but no one, no one, said anything to us, let alone greet us. It was a gorgeous night and we were chatting so we didn't pay much mind. After a bit, however, it was ridiculous. My wife went to the hostess stand. We were quickly given some bread and waters. It was 7:05pm. We were told the manager and a server would be over in a minute. At this point we were done. At 7:08pm we had it and left, opting to walk a short distance to Lib's Grill. On the walk over I called the restaurant to ask why we were ignored and spoke with the manager. While pleasant and apologetic out night out was compromised. She said they were short staffed and had several large parties that needed attention. We were very much looking forward to a good night and what looked and smelled to be great food. The manager asked us to come back and she would give us a $25 gift certificate. I said we were there for 38 minutes at a table, in the front to boot, and were completely ignored. Why would we walk back? In this day and age, completely unacceptable. Shame on Galliano, thank you Lib's Grill for a terrific meal and outstanding service!"

"I went this past Friday after seeing video upon advertised video on Instagram of the pan con queso. Oh boy, I was excited. There was a 20 minute wait for my food to arrive once I ordered it. A lot of the reviews mentioned this so I was prepared, but hungry! The pan con queso looked promising when I got the cheese pull demonstrated in my first photo, but there was an initial concern when there were 2, not one, patties of cheese. Let me explain, 2 patties would generally make me happy but it doesn?t mean you get more cheese. Two patties means you get double the breading, and worse there is an aftertaste on your tastebuds of the oil that lingers around for a while. It?s more like pan con un poquito de queso y mas pan con el flavor de aceite. Once my initial bite was over, I noticed even more that the amount of cheese to bread ratio was off. In my second photo it appears to be the thickness of one slice of cheese. I?m trying to give you all the benefit of the doubt. Maybe all of the cheese comes out with that initial cheese pull? The third picture shows what happened when I had to hunt for my queso. I will go back to try something else, and hopefully I can review again with a higher rating. The pan con queso is a no go for me though. 3 stars because it had potential, but it is highly NOT recommended unless Taino?s wants to give me what is advertised on Instagram."

"I had not been to this resto for a very long time. Since my last visit they have redecorated/renovated but maintained the same menu elements and the same fabulous service (though obviously different service.) The food quality and taste was great, not something you always see in a menu that does Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. The standouts at our table were the mussels, tourtiere, Coq, Boef Bourguinon. Tacky I know but we all tasted everything! The burger was kind of out of place in this company. Décor is pleasant and rustic at the same time. There are two service areas. There is a view of the Human Rights Museum, Bridge, and River. Though that also means the evening sun shines into the room at times. Not a problem there were blinds, and the A/C kept it comfortable. A word or two on Price. The online menu is out of date, its about 10% low. The place is not cheap, but is on par with other restaurants I have reviewed in Winnipeg. For those looking for a different experience, they do a Prix Fixe menu on most nights for about 3/4's of what a meal off menu would cost. It is chefs choice and changes. House wine was very drinkable and priced in line. The Prix Fixe offers the option of Wine Pairings (recommended) for each dish at $18 per person total. But to end this review I go back to the service. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left (a long time later) the service was wonderful and friendly. Definitely going back!"

"Came to Florida on vacation and decided to venture up to Naples from Fort Myers to see a friend of ours playing in a band. Dinner reservations were made at Bistro 821. The hour plus ride to get there was more aggravating as an airplane had crashed on the highway. When we finally arrived at the restaurant, I could tell we were in an upscale establishment. I asked our server Rob what he recommended. He said that the Chilean Sea Bass was most popular. I was in a quandary because the also served Wagyu beef. He pointed out the pick 2 and pick 3 options. I chose the pick 3 where I could have smaller portions and pick 3 entrees. I chose the sea bass, wagyu sirloin and lobster tail. When asked how I wanted my steak i replied mooing. When the plate arrived i was shocked to see a virtually raw steak. Just the way I wanted. Perfect for my tastes. The star of the plate was the sea bass. Quite frankly the best piece of fish I've ever had. Marinated in saki in a wine verblanc sauce to die for. An absolute killer taste. The Executive Chef Jonathan DeRue even came out. (I think he wanted to see who ordered the raw steak). I told him i had a new favorite restaurant. The entire meal was amazing. I spoke to Rob about dessert which I probably wasn't going to order until he said Bananas Foster. As an alcoholic, I explained the need to completely cook off the alcohol. He went back to the kitchen and told me that Jonathan would take care of it personally. Bananas Foster over a home made sugar waffle. I thought I died and went to heaven! I now know that i have to return to Naples and if we ever decide to relocate to Florida, it will be to the west coast somewhere near Naples!"
