"By far the worst service I’ve ever experienced. 20 min late to get seated for our 7:00 reservation for a 75th bday dinner and engagement celebration. Things happen they were busy. Get seated in the lounge with an 8 year old at 7:20. Not great but at least they found us a table. Server (I think the name was Dani but she never introduced herself) brings water and we do not see her for another 20 min. Meanwhile manager comes by to shake my hand? and offer a group of 8 (1 of which a minor and 2 others not drinking alcohol) 1 bottle of house wine for the 8 people to share. No thanks, so first round of drinks is next option. Fair enough. One of us mentions to him that “we just want to get served and are hungry” he assured us we will see more of him and not to worry. Drink order gets delivered and meals finally get ordered about 40 min after sitting down. Manager comes by to offer a dining room table which we declined at this point. Meals took about 50 min from ordering (7:55ish-8:50) with zero communication from our server who we saw maybe 3 times in that hour. 2 meals overdone from sitting in window. 8 year old sleeping in the bar at this point. Things happen, but the absolute neglect from the server was shocking. We were visibly upset and management avoided us instead of least trying to help. Bills came, the first round of drinks was not housed as promised. I refused to pay for the kids meal as he’d waited near 2 hrs from our reso and was sleeping in bar. Now no one enjoys dealing with an upset group of people but neglecting them entirely and being rude poured gas on this fire. It felt almost intentional. Admittedly one of the group was also quite upset and asking for additional discounts which likely didn’t help matters, but again, zero effort by staff or management to better the evening other than the first round of drinks offer at the start of the night. Not one to leave reviews but what was supposed to be special night was ruined. We expect better they should too."

"Fantastic meal and great service! My only criticism was just how crazy busy it was, but it is obvious as to why it was so busy given the quality of food and service. Don't forget to order a big piece of Billy Minor Pie!!!"

"Great service and staff, ordered a Forty Creek whiskey, seen the bottle in the lineup but was told there was none and that the bottle was empty lol. Received my meal and it was missing the mushrooms, I asked where they were and was told because of the issues in BC. They said the added extra garnish (which they did not). I wish they would have told me up front there was no mushrooms, I would have ordered something else. I would still highly recommend, would have received a 5 star if those issues weren’t there."

"My experience(s) at the Keg are typically the most consistent (consistently good) among the restaurants I dine at. My experience last evening at the Heartland Keg was exceptional! Service food quality was perfect. The atmosphere and every staff member interaction was so positive, including a very pleasant introduction from the manager. Our main server was “Ciral” (forgive the spelling if it’s wrong), he could not have done a better job, although as previously mentioned all staff interactions were great. Thank you! SM"

"This is the 3rd time we have eaten there. Every time we are in in the Venice area, we make it a point to go there. It's a friendly place with a beautiful view. I had the shrimp and grits last night. The best grits I've ever had! Our waiter was from France..... delightful accent and could not have been more accommodating. My husband had a grouper dish with mushrooms, shrimp and scallops. It was also excellent. Seafood was cooked perfectly...not overcooked."

"We had a great Father's day dinner. The service was excellent. Chris our waiter was amazing. He helped us pick out the perfect bottle of red wine. Dinner was also amazing. Both our Steaks were cooked well done perfect. Ceasars salad was good but toleafy (big pieces) veggies mushrooms with the steak were so good. The garlic mashed potatoes were lacking Garlic, but theywere good potatoes. We didn't order desert because we are headed to Mill Ave in Tempe for the Juneteenth Celebration. We willdefinitely be back to the Keg."

"I was initially hesitant because it seemed expensive and had a limited brunch menu, but the incredible flavor combinations and presentation of the dishes were absolutely outstanding! I tried the avocado toast, which was incredibly delicious—I loved all the flavors—and the breakfast fries were fantastic! The chicken and waffles were equally amazing. The shishito queso had a delightful smokiness that made it a standout! And you absolutely must try the strawberry mimosas."

"Unfortunately some of our meals were not up to par. The escargot mushrooms were so small, 1/4 of the size of the snails. The escargot and the stuffed mushrooms were so greasy you could hardly eat them. The entrees were good except for the ribs. The ribs were completely over cooked to the point of dried out and crusty. Did not eat the ribs.. took them home for the dog. The service was great as usual. Thinking the chef had an off night!"

"Wishbone started in the West Loop long, long before most other places that exist in the area today, and they used to have other locations. Their current West Loop location is newer and it's now the only one. This Cajun inspired restaurant has greatbreakfast dishes like a Jambalaya Omelet and Crunchy French Toast (that is crunchy and delicious). Sides and a corn muffin comewith most dishes and you've got a choice of cheesy grits, collard greens, and a number of other southern style sides. There's afull bar and a fun, mostly fruity, specialty drink list. They keep the coffee coming, service has always been good, and the menuoffers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The only downside is that the dining room is pretty noisy and often has large groups."

"We were there to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Both of us ordered a medium cooked bacon wrapped fillet with the trimmings. It was done to perfection and served hot. The ice cream cake for dessert was delicious! The service was awesome too. Our waitress returned to the table several times to enquire if all was satisfactory. We were also told there was no rush to leave which enabled us a lovely visit. I would definitely recommend The Keg on Upper James"

"We were impressed with the front desk person asking, not just for proof of vaccination, but also confirming our identity, something lacking in ALL the restaurants we have visited since the policy came into effect. Our server, Jordan, made the meal. Her professional and outgoing...demeanor started the meal off on the right track. The quality and quantity of the food did the rest. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. There was no pressure to rush through the meal. We had been on the road for the past week and this, being our final dinner of the trip, has left us with a very positive memory. Thank you Jordan!"

"Very good sushi; fresh fish. Good selection of sushi, sashimi, rolls and many other Japanese dishes. The Samurai roll was excellent as was the salmon belly sashimi. The service was excellent; very attentive and helpful. Wonderful meal; if you are craving good sushi, you can’t go wrong with a visit at the The Blue Fish!"

"I’m a big fan of Anejo in Calgary. The banff location needs work. Service was friendly but the staff and bartenders clearly had no training about the different tequilas nor did they have good service protocols in place. The service at the bar was more one that reminded me of a jaded nightclub, where you had to work to get staff’s attention, the anejo brand was not represented well at all in my opinion. We had to ask for water, food took a long time to be served, bartenders were slamming glass bottles into the trash during our entire stay which was heard in the dining room, it was loud and unpleasant. I still think the margaritas and food are still worth a go, but just expect to have more of a part time job staff vibe as opposed to lifers who are 100% behind the c restaurant culture."

"I’ve been here many times and it is going downhill. The service was average and the food was below average last night. The prime rib was tough, over cooked and tasteless. Sadly, that is a top seller for this restaurant. The rib steak was less than what I would expect for a select cut of meat. Yes, I said select; not choice or prime, but select. It was ordered medium rare and was delivered to my table at almost room temperature or less. The steak was tough, dry, tasteless and I was not able to even eat one quarter of the steak. The cauliflower mash was chopped cauliflower that was cool to the taste and relatively raw. The filets that the family ordered were sent back for more heating. They all requested medium and we’re served very rare. We waited 20 minutes for those steaks to return to the table and everyone else was almost finished before the 3 other steaks returned. Unfortunately, after years of enjoying their fine food, I will not be returning."

"We were there 9/27/23 Service was amazing, everyone was attentive but not overbearing. The bread and Margherita sauce were delicious. I don’t usually eat bread but the sauce was so good you just want to sop it all up with bread. I could just eat this all day lol Grilled Octopus was tender yet grilled, not rubbery or tough Chicken Giambotta was good but I enjoyed my hubby’s Pork Chop Special (forgot what it was called and he liked mine better so we swapped lol. The pork chop was delicious, nice thick slice. We came here because they were working on opening in Hackensack and heard it would be their 3rd location. So a little google search and Caldwell was closest for us to scout. ;"
