"My wife and I have been fans of Coast for years now, but something has changed. Normally the food and service are outstanding but this year both have gone downhill. On arrival we were seated in the upstairs balcony area which has outstanding views. When I sat down on the cushioned set my pants were immediately soaked with water. When I reported the problem I was told it had rained earlier and they didn't know what to do. Didn't know what to do? Like swap out the cushions or warn a guest before letting them sit on a rain soaked seat? The staff seemed baffled on how to get a dry chair even though they were available. We noticed this happen to several other tables as well. We ordered the large seafood tower but the seafood was obviously old, frozen, and had been soaked to thaw. the result was soggy crab legs you couldn't crack and meat you could not get out of the shells. The shrimp and crab had no flavor (which make up 85% of the tower). My wife said the oysters were ok, but not great. For the most part we left hungry. Based on other experiences I won't say this will be my last time at Coast ... but if this was my only impression of the place there is no way I would return. You guy have a perfect setup with the views. I hope it turns around in the food and service department."

"The food was excellent and the menu had great variety and was reasonably priced We had the strawberry gazpacho, poke bowl, avocado and kale salad, seared tuna and monkfish sandwich. Everyone loved their food! The white sangria was delicious! Service was quick and professional! We ate outside and it was lovely. Inside decor was nautical and cheery. Coming from NH I expected high prices for NYC but thought it was reasonable and a good value. I would definitely go back!!"

"We joined friends for a light dinner before a performance at the neighboring Joyce Theater. Our first server filled our water glasses and then never returned to our table. Another server eventually arrived after we asked what we presumed was the manager to have someone come and take our order. Our server was pleasant enough and seemed amenable to getting our orders to the table so that we'd have plenty of time in advance of the show (we arrived 1.25 hours in advance of showtime .Our table of 5 just ordered a collection of starter dishes, three of which were relatively simple salads. Two of our party ordered a glass of wine each. The bar wasn't busy at all but the wine took at least 20 minutes to arrive. Our simple food order took nearly 40 minutes to arrive and we had to check a couple of times with the manager as we could not get the attention of our server despite the fact that the restaurant was only moderately busy.Our food was okay but our appetizer salads were stuffed into bowls that were far too small making it a challenge to eat without spilling the contents on to the table. Our fries were fine (but really, who screws up french fries? . I can't comment on the entree meals but there was nothing particularly noteworthy about our starter meals.The restaurant has a clean and contemporary appearance but is very loud and cramped. It was a hot day and several of our party were feeling the heat (sliding window panels were open and ceiling fans were on but this was not enough to make it comfortable on this particularly hot day .We've visited plenty of smaller restaurants around NYC and nearly all of them had pretty decent if not excellent service and in many cases exceeded our food expectations both in preparation and presentation. Seamore's is a notable exception for a fairly new NYC restaurant. Exceptionally poor service, no apparent management, cramped tables (do not take a table in the middle of the restaurant , and a run-of-the mill food experience. Avoid this restaurant unless you have no issue with exceedingly slow service (even when it's not particularly busy and have no problem paying a premium price for decent but otherwise pretty average food. The very substandard service may be a consequence of the difficulty restaurants are having getting qualified front of house staff. The owners should nonetheless do themselves a favor and replace pretty much all the managerial and wait staff in this restaurant. Couldn't be much worse than what's already there."

"So it started great that I screwed up our open table and fixed over the phone right up. then it went downhill. not sure if I can add photos, but the sign in front of the door said to buy sushi, they get half a price. So I tried to do that. but the server said: "not well on nigiri only roll". well, we order two roll. “Provides that we ran out of tuna”. that killed over half the elections. the server bot “we can make a roll without thunfish”. but never said they would add more laughs or reduce the price! they only get missing tuna for the same. So I moved to calamari. what his brote broke off before I put a fork on it (gods of it) the fish chips w haddock had great fish and zero taste shakers. I don't mean any. the table next to us said exactly the same. the chicken waffle sandwich was amazing. lower line eat on your own risk."

"my guest and I enjoyed our dinner at seamore. beautiful in the interior and active bar scene. we are just there in time for happy hour and have half-priced glasses of good wein and a dozen oysters. next came the kalamari in a small basket. delicious and properly salted. we both had the beginning of the day that was on the sea. it comes with a selection of sauce and cauliflower, broccolini, quinoa as side. I liked the curry sauce, but was not wild about the scalion sauce (too sour). fish was perfectly cooked. attentive service and articles nicely expensive."

"My family and I first visited the gypsy cab in the summer of 2023. After tonight’s third visit, we have decided to share a comprehensive review. Alanna was our server this time, and her personable service was beyond expectation. another server on duty, Franklyn, made recommendations for us to try, and the bartender Mary, was professional and made the most tasteful specialty drinks I’ve ever had. The food, delicious. We ordered the blackened chicken nachos appetizer, which was cooked to perfection. The clam chowder was equally amazing, and the house salad dressing, unreal! Also we ordered the prime rib, outstanding. The temperature was perfect, marble was beautiful, and the sauces, completed the above and beyond taste of this meal. I highly recommend saving room for desert and enjoying the apple crumb cake."

"If you want to catch COVID or something else, dine here! capacity all crammed into of the entire space! Tables too close to each other. Barriers between tables are open at the bench seat sides so you’re eating feet away without protection from the table next to you. I supported them with take out and crazy high tips for the past year and treated poorly when dining in. Hostess was not nice and had a bad attitude. I arrived minutes early and was told if I get seated the minute table limit starts then or I could wait until my reservation time and then be seated. Table was empty, it was an early reservation and what did it really matter if I sat down ten minutes early? Perhaps I might have had an additional cocktail and increase the total spent? Poorly managed"

"I started with the Seafood Chowder, which I thought would be delicious. However, it contained just three tiny pieces of dry fish, which was the only seafood I could find. The broth was lackluster at best. For my main course, I ordered Short Ribs, which had been heavenly on my last visit. The waitress suggested pairing it with whipped potatoes. I noticed Yukon Gold potatoes mentioned on the menu and asked her if that was what I would be getting. She simply replied, "They're whipped." I attempted to clarify that I was inquiring about the type of potato, but it seemed too complicated to continue. Although the food arrived quickly, my short rib was nowhere near as good as the first time. The flavor was decent, but the meat was very dry. Having had neck cancer, I have difficulty swallowing dry food. I asked the waitress for more sauce and mentioned that the meat was dry. Her response was, "Just chew it longer!" She then brought me a tiny cup with about a tablespoon of sauce, which was completely inadequate. Overall, my meal was a disappointment. I think I’ll try a different restaurant next time."

"I arrived at a relaxed 7:15 p.m., greeted by the sounds of "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd, which set a great tone before we even placed our orders. I opted for the fish tacos, which were delicious — the sauce on the blackened fish was a highlight. My wife ordered the burger topped with bacon and a fried egg, which she enjoyed as well. I exchanged one of my tacos for half of her burger, and it was a tasty trade. I also tried the only hard cider available, which was from Virginia and worth a taste. The fries were decent too. Overall, I highly recommend giving the food here a try. I have no complaints about the experience—everything was enjoyable!"
