"I opted for a meal at the local diner after having a bit too much to drink earlier in the evening. I thought it would be nice to have something affordable while I waited to head home. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dinner menu and the taste of what I ordered. I chose a Reuben sandwich. Although the bread was a thick cut of white instead of marble rye, the meat was nicely sliced, and the sauerkraut was excellent. My wife ordered chicken fingers with a sweet Thai dipping sauce, which the server had recommended, and she loved the sweet and spicy combination. With their "every night is fish fry night" theme, I was thoroughly impressed..."

"The name really captures the essence of this place. It’s dimly lit, unclean, and very inexpensive. I was hesitant to use the restrooms, and after my meal, I quickly discovered the origin of the unpleasant raw sewage smell that my colleague and I noticed while we were having lunch. On the upside, the food was surprisingly good, and our server was both friendly and efficient. However, I genuinely can’t understand how this restaurant hasn’t been shut down by health authorities. In the future, I would choose any other place over Rutland Restaurant when I visit the area again."

"What a fantastic sandwich! The fries were excellent—definitely not the same as McDonald's; they were nice and thick. The food stayed hot even after the driver had to make another delivery. Kudos to the chef for preparing such a great meal. Thank you!"

"Don's is the bomb! I lived in Racine when I was a kid, and used to drive over for subs on lunch during high school. The subs were so good that I used to drive down from Milwaukee to pick up bags of sandwiches for the guys from work. One day the doors were closed and I assumed they went out of business, a little part of me died. One day, I was driving down a country road, and there they were! They are cheap and tasty, go get one right now!!!"

"The manager did speak with us before we left and mentioned he would consider sending me a gift voucher if I provided my email, but I haven't heard back yet (my visit was a week ago). On a positive note, the railway mi was well put together, and the sauce was really good, though the tofu was average. The highlight of the meal was definitely the Philly cheesesteak. Even though I’m not a fan of mushrooms, I could have eaten the whole sandwich—it was phenomenal and the main reason I’m giving this place three stars. Unfortunately, we found that the service was quite slow, and our server seemed to need to be called over every time we needed something. He also had cat hair on his shirt, which was surprising. Additionally, I felt the pricing was a bit high for what we received; I paid $13 for a sandwich, which felt excessive. Although the manager tried his best to rectify the situation and even offered us dessert (which we declined), I was really disappointed that my birthday dinner didn’t meet my expectations. I would consider giving them another chance, but I recommend not expecting too much to avoid the disappointment I experienced."

"Today, we enjoyed an early dinner and opted for sweet potato fries, chicken stromboli (a delicious homemade Italian pastry filled with chicken, mushrooms, spinach, and plenty of cheese), and seafood pasta (loaded with mussels!). I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices, especially considering the generous portions. Everything was bursting with flavor! It's been a while since I've had pasta this good. The restaurant itself is small, but the atmosphere is very cozy, with a charming mix of Eurasian and Mediterranean touches that gives it a homely feel. It's definitely a great spot for a romantic evening out, and it's also family- and child-friendly. We will absolutely be returning, and if we're in town for Thanksgiving, we'll definitely be back for their full-course halal turkey meal!"

"I would give this a 10 if they had it. The establishment is a classic pub style. The burgers are juicy and well cooked. The Shepard's pie is amazing it actually has ground lamb and chunks of lamb. I could at least taste 3 different levels of flavor in it which I have had many Shepard's pie and this is by far one of my favorites. The long island ice tea was really really good also. You could tell pretty much everything was made in house. Which to me is super important especially for a place to survive for a long time. My theory is there is no price on very very good food and I believe this place is one of those places. The server was good and attentive and always checking on us. Great service great food had a very very pleasurable experience and to not forget the music choice of foo fighters blink 182 Shinedown and others really set this place apart from the rest."

"Gustavo's has all the atmosphere of a hospital cafeteria. The dishes were full of chips, the booths were old and cracking, they haven't updated the inside in a few decades I would guess. The food isn't much better than you'd get in a hospital as well. I had the chicken parm. This was chicken flattened until it was the width of a piece of paper and fried until it was dry jerky. It came with a side of spagettie but nothing on the chicken! No sauce. No cheese. Where is the parm in my chicken parm? My husband got the chicken fettuccine. They brought him shrimp fettuccine. They were quick to get him the correct order. But again, flavorless. The staff were friendly and responsive, which is the best thing I can say about the place. Which wasn't too difficult since it was dinner time on a Saturday night and there was only one other table in the place. Which tells you all you need to know. The locals steer clear."

"I come through town every so often as I travel alot I've been here a few times in the past and thought it was mediocre at best the little cook that worked in the morning has a horrible attitude and it shows in her meals however I stopped in yesterday Sunday 1/30/2022 the food we got the special) and will now have to come in and get the prime rib dinner! and service was top notch I don't remember our servers name however the service was astounding even with as busy as it was the cooks two guys both with beards never skipped a beat it did take about 15-20 minutes to get our food which is understandable however your cooks are freaking hilarious and I would come back just for the show!"

"Today was the last day I will ever eat at Rays. For 2 people, total bill 2 chicago dogs and 2 half and halfs of onion rings and fries. We spent over $32. Thinking we would get a decent portion it was just embarrassing. When I asked for water cups the guy said yea you can have em, and told me to fill it up my self. The sink being behind the counter… if you are looking for a hot dog and a side and a drink go check out A&W in Dexter and you can pay half that. OR go get 5 dogs and two large root beers in Ypsi at Bills for under $15. Highway robbery…"
