"I want to refrain from rating with one star. I will leave 3 . and I will change my rating after I have tested out this new information. I have had the cod basket twice and a burger once. My first visit I had the cod... when I first moved there. The breading is soggy oily and falling off and the cod is slimey... I did not enjoy it. Nor the wait staff.. not happy to serve... or happy to work there it seems. Next visit I had a burger. Feb 2016 after basketball tournaments my aunt wanted to go there. I tried the cod again. Same exact way. Breading is falling off drenched in oil cod slimey ... batter not cooked all the way. The owner was there and did not charge me for the cod and told me that this is not how they should be cooking it and I can ask for less breading... So until I test her advice that they really can cook... I do not want to leave a horrible review... even though it has been my experience with the food and service. She was very nice however and so I would like to give her a retry. After that I will leave the correct star rating though... yes it is the cooks job to know how to cook but this town is limited to what's available around here... high schoolers who do not care because they are not eating it? The owner wants good food to go out.... but can it happen? That is my next mission. I am scared- it was 2 years apart from 1 bad cod basket to the next. Same exact problem... is it a fluke? Or no..."

"They were accommodating when both my guest and myself arrived minutes late for our reserved time both on phone and in person. The music was a slow quiet jazz which welcomed you into the Saturday brunch to wake up slow and pleasantly. The staff was quick to offer a bobble wedge when they noticed the table moved. They were very patient when it took awhile for us to decide on drinks and then twice again for brunch entrees. The drinks were delicious. The Pirate's Boott was crisp on the tongue with little bubbling treasure. My guest found their Paleo Omelette, perfection. Her crisp potato hash the perfect compliment. My grilled cajun shrimp on gouda gerits in a lobster bisque was very good. However, i have a feeling the chef wouldn't be happy that someone didn't actually put any gouda in the grits. They were full on plain salted white grits. There was no creaminess or flavor that hinted of cheese. But Mimosas' lobster bisque and cajun shrimp were standouts against the plain grits and the overall dish was quite successful. I feel they would have corrected any mistake but I was happy with my dish and therefore didn't ask. About I requested a **** Mary Baconator. If you don't want spicy or strong stay clear. If you like a bold, bug **** Mary...I think you will love any on their menu. I do wish the bacon had been crisped a bit more and served standing along the side. But the accompanying skewer of olives, artichoke and Brussels sprouts were a tasty addition. I'd definitely go for brunch again. Although, my next visit will be Friday for dinner and live music. They have some pretty nice happy hours worth taking advantage of as a girls trip, informal date or business associates winding down. The ambiance overall is relaxed with a tad of classic romance."
