"(7/30/2023) We received excellent service during our visit. The lunch special was a great deal, offering a choice of a combination that included a Bento, Ramen, Sushi, or Roll. The Tonkotsu was decent but could use some improvements, particularly in terms of the broth and the pork belly—both were lacking in depth of flavor and richness. However, I highly recommend the Chicken Katsu and Spicy Tuna Roll, as they were incredibly delicious, with the Chicken Katsu being crispy and the Spicy Tuna being exceptionally fresh. This place is definitely a recommendable option for anyone looking for a lunch or dinner spot in the mall."

"This sushi bar in Las Colinas is modern and elegant! The restaurant was very clean and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The service was excellent, with the waitress and staff being very attentive. The lunch menu was very generous, which I loved! The miso soup was the first to arrive and it was deliciously salty and savory. The bento box was beautifully presented. The bulgogi was not overly sweet, which I appreciated. Initially, I was going to choose rice over the wasabi mashed potatoes, but the waitress convinced me to try it and I'm glad she did. The wasabi mashed potatoes were amazing! The tempura shrimp and vegetables were light, crunchy, and delicious."

"I don't understand how this restaurant has a 4.6 rating. The food was tasteless and the portions were small. My chicken was overcooked and full of gristle, which made it hard to eat. Some people at my table were served shrimp with their chicken steak, without being asked if they had any seafood allergies. This is not acceptable. Everything at the table had teriyaki sauce on it, even though I did not ask for it. The waiter ignored my niece when she was trying to get his attention. The only redeeming quality was the sushi, which I would give 2 stars. I will not be returning to this restaurant and I will not recommend it to others."

Today I had taken myself out and whatever came in the senses was important to me. the suppe was closed. there was a square of karton, between the sushi lunch and the children chicken flour! I don't care. Make sure that sushi is served, take care of me with a great eating experience. they also gave them more intensive for children adult. they gave two kinds of soy sauce! regular low sodium! Who does that? except shiawase. bravo. the food was fresh, generous and well traveled. try it. seems to me that the owner/manager is always on site. he's very nice."

"they skip this place. eating was not fresh and I came on Sunday. Usually Sushi places close on Sunday due to no fresh fish deliveries on Sundays. nothing was on the spot and the best was the ice that came with the VIP sushi set. "Although the restaurant wasn't crowded, it took some time for a waiter to come and take our order. However, once he arrived, he was very friendly and personable. The food was delicious - in fact, I think it was even better than our last visit to the restaurant! "Visited here for dinner on a Friday, the restaurant was not crowded, but it took our waitress over 20 min to even greet us...so that was disappointing. The food was good, the atmosphere was nice. We ordered the tempura shrimp and Vegetables, which was good, but not hot, it was lukewarm. Also, just be aware that they only give you two shrimp tempura and the rest is vegetables! So I was very disappointed that I paid $17 for a dish that only had two shrimp a lot of veggies and rice. I asked my waitress if that is how they usually serve it and she said yes. So had I known that, I wouldn't have ordered it. I've ordered shrimp Veggie tempura from other Japanese restaurants and received a nice portion and value for my money. "We had a wonderful first experience here! Shout out to our amazing server Devyn (sp? . She was super sweet and knowledgeable. She made our dining experience super fun! We started off with some cocktails and both were very good! I told Devyn I prefer sweet drinks but that I was interested in something strong and she had great recommendations! I ended up going with the Lychee cocktail because she told me it was one of the sweeter drinks where you don't really taste the alcohol. My husband ordered the old fashioned and he really liked it! We started off with the fried rice ball app and it was very good! I highly recommend this app if you are looking for something to start the meal with. For our main courses we started with the Forbidden roll. I almost wish we didn't start with this roll only because it was so darn good! I've been to the fish market in Japan and this was still the best sushi roll I've ever had in my life! The ingredients were incredible and everything was perfectly portioned. We ended up buying a second Forbidden roll because we knew nothing would come close. The Lion King Roll, to be fair, was also incredible. It just got overshadowed by the Forbidden roll. But, if you are ordering multiple rolls, I would also recommend the Lion King Roll! The shrimp on top was fresh and delicious and the sauce it was cooked in was just perfect. I would love to come back here again! The ambiance was amazing and honestly, the prices were absolutely reasonable. I've paid more at other sushi bars and the quality of fish was nowhere near the quality of fish at this location. Enjoy!"

"30/10 we did only sushi, for 5 people. We each had our own appetizer and we ordered between 2-4 sushi orders each 2 bottles of saki fuji flavored and 4 beers. We spent about $300 but we ate A LOT of food each (we haven't eaten all day). Honestly, the food.... was so so delicious. Probably the best cream crab puffs I've ever had. They melted right in the mouth. We had the crab stuffed mushrooms. I dont even like mushrooms and it was SO good. The texture was great. My personal plates were mostly from the seasonal menu. It felt like each dish was better than the last. We had the 3 kings, the fish tasted so fresh. After each piece I sat just to savor the taste. The only sushi plate they have on they're regular menu that I tried was the shaggy dog. Usually a simple so so roll. I took a bite not expecting much, it was phenomenal. I had to ask everyone at the table to try one piece. Everyone couldn't believe how delicious such a simple roll is. I am not sure if it's because they are so close to the beach but the sushi was so fantastic. Highly recommend if you like sushi and can appreciate the creativity they put into they're seasonal menus."

"I visited this restaurant based on its high ratings, but I was disappointed to find that the food quality did not match the reviews. It was quite surprising. Also, what's up with the crêpes for dessert? Why not offer donuts instead? The atmosphere was not great either—the place was warm and dark, making it difficult to read the menu. The decor felt uninviting, and the plastic dividers at each table leftover from COVID made it feel even less appealing. As a result, we decided to order takeout. Unfortunately, the sushi rolls were tiny and of poor quality. On a positive note, the waitress was friendly. Overall, I still prefer Lighthouse Thai Sushi!"

"The sushi was some of the best I’ve ever had. The omakase selection was incredible and their rotating menu had some tasty and fun options.Since Google asks for more information than just the quality of the food, I’ll speak to what kept me from giving this place 5 stars. To start, the environment was incredibly loud. There was a massive birthday group seated next us and it made it difficult to sustain a conversation with my partner. You know it’s too loud inside when your waiter has to cup their ear and bend over the table to hear you.Speaking of waiters, we had an interesting experience. We had 4 separate waiters individually approach our table within 2-3 minutes of being seated. Each waiter asked us if we were ready to order drinks or food. This made it confusing to determine who our actual waiter was and made us feel like we needed to hurry up and rush (I’m not sure what the rush was since the restaurant was maybe 1/3 full). Ironically, the 4th person who came up to us asking for our drink/food order was not even able to take our order so they had to go back and grab one of the earlier waiters to take our order. The last strange service experience was having my phone knocked off the table by the waiter that took our order. Rather than pick up the menu off the table, the waiter swept/dragged the menu off our table and in that same motion swept my phone off the table. This same waiter made us anxious every time she brought us food or liquids for the rest of the night because everything was shaky/wobbly. In the end, the first waiter that greeted us eventually became our sole waiter and she was amazing! I wish she could’ve just been our waiter the whole time: it would’ve made everything less tense and rushed.Again, the food was amazing. I look forward to going back again soon."
