"Boucherie is undoubtedly one of my all-time favorite dining spots in all of Manhattan. Every visit feels like a special occasion, thanks to the consistently exceptional service and culinary offerings. The menu is a delightful homage to classic French cuisine, and I’ve found myself drawn to several standout dishes. The steak tartare is expertly seasoned, with a perfect balance of flavors and textures that always leaves me craving more. The scallops are beautifully seared, tender, and served with a sauce that complements them flawlessly. The octopus is another highlight—grilled to perfection and bursting with flavor, it’s a must-try for seafood lovers. For heartier fare, the beef bourguignon is a rich, comforting dish that embodies the essence of French cooking, while the ribeye steak is simply divine—juicy, flavorful, and cooked exactly to order. Each dish showcases the kitchen’s attention to detail and commitment to quality. The beverage selection is equally impressive, featuring an excellent array of French wines that pair wonderfully with the menu. Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or just looking to explore, there’s something for everyone. Additionally, Boucherie offers a fantastic selection of absinthe and creative cocktails that elevate the dining experience. Our server, Lola, deserves a special mention. She was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations and making sure our experience was flawless. Her warm demeanor added to the inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. Overall, I can’t recommend Boucherie highly enough. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a night out, this restaurant delivers an unforgettable experience that captures the spirit of French dining. It’s a true gem in Manhattan that I’ll keep returning to."

"We arrived for our dinner reservation. It was at an earlier time so the restaurant only had one another table occupied as we arrived. No one was at the front when we first stepped in. A young man greeted us with a smile shortly after. Their outdoor dining area was nicely arranged but we decided to seat inside. Warm bread was presented to our table after we put in our order. Portion of dishes were generous but there was nothing impressive in terms of flavor. Escargots barely had any favor. Rack of lamb was on a greasier side. We asked for medium rare for our New York Steak but it turn out to be medium. We were told that our entrees would be ready shortly as we were still working on our salad and escargots. I believe that our entrees were "fired" earlier than they should be. We had to finish what we had on our table to make space for the entrees, therefore, we felt rushed. More guests slowly arrived as time went by. Outdoor seatings were almostly taken, which was great for the restaurant. It was obvious that both servers could barely handle the volume. I believe that it was the Chef that gave us the dessert menu as neither of the servers paid attention to our needs. The Tiramisu was overly sweet to our taste Our dinner was rushed by the staff while the restaurant was slow but we got less attention as the restaurant got busier. We made a reservation specifically for a birthday celebration. It was noted clearly on the reservation. We overheard another table getting complementary dessert and "happy anniversary" from a server. Unfortunately, there was no acknowledgement from any of the staff at any point for our occasion. We were not looking for any freebies but at least pay the acknowledgement when guests choose to celebrate special occasions at your restaurant. We wanted to enjoy our time at Chou Chou but it was not meant to be"
