"If you are looking to invest in a wonderful time with family and unforgettable good, then this is the place to do it. The aesthetic of the restaurant is warm and traditionally Italian. The table is served with crusty bread and a light bean and olive oil spread. The servers, food runners, and restaurant manager are very kind, helpful, and gave the right amount of service, which is a difficult task in this industry. We ordered drinks, including a mock tail for myself, an earl grey inspired citrus drink. We also all ordered dinner, to which I had the gnocchi amatricianna, which was delicious and portioned perfectly. Lastly, my family ordered dessert and the server was kind enough to bring out a candle on the afogato for my mother. All in all, I would highly recommend this experience. Although a bit more on the high end for dinner, I would use this establishment for celebrations and special events. The food is magnificent, the service lovely, and the aesthetic comforting. 10/10 gnocchis awarded. Parking: Plenty of parking on a Thursday evening, the restaurant was mostly full and the lot had many vacant spots remaining. Kid-friendliness: You could bring kids here, I guess, but I didn't notice anything geared towards children. Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs for entrance, but a large door that could be held open for staff, if needed."

"Nov. 5th was a birthday celebration that I hope no one gets to experience at this restaurant. Here is how it went down: Around 5pm I called to let the restaurant know our group of 7 will be late at our table because the traffic was especially bad that day When 5 of us were at the table we were continuously urged to order by the manager (not our server) who bluntly announced: BECAUSE you guys were late you should probably start ordering already so you can BE OUT of here by 7:30 . We knew that the table was reserved for us for 2 hours but we did not need their rude service to keep reminding us that we needed to leave which we had no intention of staying after 7:30pm anyways. Please refer to the $100 cake I ordered days ahead and brought to the restaurant to be cut after supper. I specifically told them not to not cut or distort the cake before we take some photos with it! Second photo is them bringing it in after ripping 1/2 of the decoration off which is OBVIOUSLY suppose to be PART OF THE CAKE in the shape of a flower HENCE WHY it costed me $100. Not only did they seem unapologetic, they even seemed annoyed when I pointed out that THEY made a MISTAKE. Instead, the manager who tried to solve the problem was rather annoyed at me just trying to enjoy a damn birthday cake on my birthday. We sent it back calmly, asked them to please try their best to put it back in its original shape. Then the manager comes out holding the cake in the third photo and says there was some miscommunications about the cake but here it is and oh, no sparklers allowed and leaves abruptly... Each of one us were speechless because of how REMORSELESS the manager was for ruining someone 's cake without considering taking 2 seconds to ask us whether they should distort the cake before bringing it out. We were later told they asked the HEAD chef and he/she told them to just rip it off. HELLO??? Did you forget this was my cake and I specifically told you guys to NOT do anything to it? WHO in their right mind would just go ahead a destroy a beautiful piece of artwork like that without consulting the owner?! We confronted the manager who continued to talk over everyone at the table trying to shut us up when all we wanted was a sincere apology! Yet the lady keeps changing the subject to I know it doesn 't look like the original because we removed the box, and we removed the ballon. She continuously avoided apologizing and was repeatedly discourteous towards us purposely ignoring the fact they just ruined my birthday cake, and night with the audacity to not own up to her actions! We were also aware there was a $5 cake cutting charge per person that we accepted. And this is what they 're capable of! In conclusion, I beg of you to give the other restaurants a chance instead of Ascari. This is not how you do business in any type of industry, especially when we come here on a very special occasion. There are restaurants who are truly sincere and tries really hard to provide good value and service for people in the city. SO please, I beg of all of you, please don 't support bad businesses anymore! Give others a chance and soon enough bad businesses like Ascari will close to make space who restaurants who are deserving!!! Note to restaurant owner: It is very sad to see the reputation of your restaurant defeated by letting someone who undoubtedly unfit at their job (or any position) represent the entire restaurant. There are many outstanding talents out there who can handle this situation maturely with integrity and good manners. Please view this experience as an opportunity to grow!"

"Thursday, 25 October 2018 VERANDINA---REVIEW: hello. I visited verandina ende august for birthday dinner with friends. it was fantastic. the food and service was great, and it was packed and sunny. I would have recommended it to everyone until the second time I visited verandina was with my parents on a Sunday night. we were the only ones in which my father wanted to sit. there were a few with dog and baby on the terrace. when we waited, a man waved in a hurdle his poor and began to call a waitress that she should clear the tables and chairs and turn the lights up. it does not seem to be isolation in the inner, so it echos. our orders lasted 40 minutes to arrive. we got beer. we also waited for them, and the waitress returned with two coronas and reported that there was no heinekin. later his corona arrives. dad ordered the special that was picked on risotto. it looked good, and he said the rice was delicious, but the fish had no taste. he's hard to please. Mom, I ordered the lachsburger. the fish was dry, but the pommes were hot. meanwhile, constant barking and weep out of the terrace. the man in the apron I took as manager went moderately between bar and terrace and spoke about his cell. the waiting staff began to speak loudly when three people came in and sat at the bar. you went towards the kitchen and started a LOUD talk there. the two men sat at the bar, and the waiting staff visited loudly with them as they were long lost friends. we felt completely forgotten, and my mother was not amused. she kept showing me misconduct and said: “I see it too.” So, dry fish, belligerent dog, weeping baby, wait with the staff and customers. it would have been better if they had given us more attention. I couldn't wait to go! I'm sorry to give such a terrible report, but someone should know. liz terland (619) 400-7497"

"This was my first time at this restaurant. I had heard nothing but good things about it. I was so disappointed..The menu was very limited. And when we asked about it, they explained that it was their slow season. I get that.Let's begin with the bread. My girlfriend who tried it first said it tasted strange. I tried a piece and I thought it was fine. Then when I tried another piece I knew exactly what she was saying. It wasn't even a stale taste but almost like a mold taste. It was bizzare. And it was hard as well. Couldn't quite figure it out.Two of us including myself got the BRANZINO 38. The fish was extremely salty and the fish was floating in oil. My gf could not finish hers unfortunately because it was just too much oil. I tried to finish mine because I did not want it to go to waste. Honestly it wasn't easy. We also ordered the SPAGHETTI 21pomodoro, basiland meatballs +10 additional for meatballs. The SPAGHETTI was good, I thought. Sauce was also yummy. Sadly, the meatballs were also salty. So salty, that we ate only a half one and left the rest. We did mention the salt issue to the waitress, not to get any back but just as a courtesy. I was surprised to read on our way out that Bill Dorrler is the executive chef. I know hes not the one doing the cooking, but I believe he oversees the quality control. Its needs to be tweaked for sure. Its not the first time I've been to a restaurant that uses salt as a magic ingredient thinking it makes everything taste good. It doesn't BTW! I would not recommend this restaurant I'm sorry to say."

"Upon entering, we noticed that the restaurant was quite warm. Coming in from an unusually hot September night, we expected a cooler environment, but it felt rather stuffy. Our server was friendly and assisted us with our menu inquiries. Our meal began with a basket of warm, seasoned olive oil and a couple of slices of bread. The Chicken Parmigiana looked appealing under a generous layer of melted cheese, but the chicken had a slight burn to it, with some areas of the breading being overly cooked. The Eggplant Parmigiana resembled a lasagna more than the traditional dish. Both plates could have used a bit more seasoning—definitely a sprinkle of salt and black pepper would have helped. However, after asking for some crushed red pepper and grated Parmesan cheese, the flavors improved significantly. Looking back, I would have opted for all eggplant, especially considering its unique presentation compared to other places. The tomato sauce accompanying the pasta was a bit bland, but it certainly improved with the extra red pepper flakes. The spaghetti was slightly overcooked for my liking and had a chewy texture. Now, onto dessert! I chose the tiramisu, which was simply outstanding, and Lisa went for the bomboloni filled with cannoli cream—WOW! Desserts are definitely a must at this restaurant; they’re absolutely worth it. Overall, it’s a nice local spot, and we’re excited to return to try more of their dishes and the pizza. My only minor complaint was needing to ask for more water—I know it's a small issue, but I enjoy having water to accompany a rich dessert."
