A classic Boston dessert with layers of moist sponge cake filled with creamy custard and topped with rich chocolate glaze.

"If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. The chicken tenders were overcooked and dry, and the fries were soggy. The marinara sauce for the mozzarella sticks tasted more like tomato soup than anything else. The homemade honey mustard sauce was odd and quite unappetizing."

"This is the best place to go for a hamburger! The Double Deluxe is incredible—it's a burger you can enjoy like a steak. It's juicy and packed with flavorful beef, just like a true hamburger should be. The fries are also outstanding! The service is excellent, and I love this place. They have an amazing menu!"

"When we arrived the restaurant was nearly empty at 5:30 on a Friday evening. We were excited since we were seated at the corner table overlooking the water which was great. From there everything went downhill. The table was set on a dirty table. We needed to call the waiter to wipe the table. We ordered our meal (2 adults 2 kids). It is nice they have a kids menu. It took forever for the meals to be delivered. The adult meals were delivered then eventually the kids (should of been delivered all at the same time). Our son when he ordered his chicken tenders had requested barbecue sauce. The waiter when he finally delivered the chicken tenders stated he had to go downstairs to get the barbecue sauce which took another long time. Considering how slow the service was and he had not forgotten one would of thought he would of retrieved the barbecue sauce earlier and delivered all the meals together. The food itself was lackluster with little taste except heavily on the salt side. I would not suggest going to this restaurant unless you like the location and that they have a reasonable priced kids menu. If you expect decent food and service as well go someplace else. There are two restaurants at this location owned by the same company. The downstairs restaurant was far more crowded and might be better though it seemed to be more of a pubish type of place with a decent bar crowd. One last point the picture on OpenTable shows white tablecloths. The tables had no table cloths, they were basic low end restaurant tables. The site portrays a level of restaurant it is not"

"The customer service was outstanding! The staff worked together seamlessly, checking in on tables to make sure everyone had enough drinks, condiments, and more. The food was incredible. We shared a waffle sundae and each had our own breakfast platters, which included everything from creamed chipped beef to pancakes, scrambled eggs, and home fries. The food, atmosphere, and service were all exceptional."

"I am so grateful that I was referred to this bakery when I needed a special cake, cupcakes and cookies for the baby shower of my daughter. the way they decorated them over all expectations, even more beautiful, then the pictures I gave them to use as a guide - the decorator is an amazing artist. the aromas of desserts were heavenly above all the strawberry-champagner they recommended for the cake. everything I asked of them was done until the ninth grade. there are not enough words to describe how satisfied I am with this bakery. they have earned a very loyal customer for years."

"The food was ok, service wasn’t great either, disgusting bathroom. I had the lobster roll, which was good, but it was tiny for the price. I realize the price of lobster has increased, but it wasn’t even hot dog size. The service was the opposite of attentive. I think our waitress forgot us and it seemed to be a trend with other tables and wait staff. People would ask anyone walking by for refills, sauce etc. They’d nod and act like they were getting it, but then they’d walk back by and 10 minutes later the waitress would actually come by and we’d have to make the request to her. At the end of the night we were still waiting on our check and our waitress was standing at the host stand goofing off with about 3 others. We sat there staring at them, they all saw us and still never came over. We thought it was funny at this point. The women’s bathroom was disgusting and run down. I’ve been in cleaner gas station bathrooms."

"We visited this restaurant for the first time on Mother's Day, and it was surprisingly not busy at all, with plenty of open tables and no wait time. We ordered Steak and Eggs, but unfortunately, our food arrived cold, and the eggs appeared to be powdered. The staff took our plates back, but less than two minutes later, they returned the same dish with just some brown topping on the eggs, and the food was still not warm. When we spoke to the manager, he told us that this was the best they could do and asked if we wanted to change our order. Frustrated, we decided to leave. With so few customers, we expected much better quality food. The steak was served sliced with some sauce on it, which was not appealing at all. Overall, it was a disappointing experience."

"Happy Crab was the first place for food and drinks my husband and I encountered upon moving to Eastport. We liked the atmosphere and service, which made up for any less than awesome food experiences...until this evening. We arrived, and waited for half an hour for someone to come to our table (we were unfamiliar with this person, but maybe because we came on a different night than usual). It was obvious our server was covering some tables, plus the bar, so of course we gave them grace. I have worked in the service industry and empathize. We eventually got food and drinks. We were brought the bill that we were not ready for, at which time we requested more drinks. Those were brought along with the amended bill. We joked that they were trying to get us to leave. A little while later, we managed to flag down our server who had been to all the tables surrounding us, multiple times. We asked for more drinks and were told that if we wanted more, we needed to go to the bar to order them. A little caught off guard we kind of nodded, not sure what that was about. We thought maybe after a certain amount of time (on a Sunday evening), they stopped doing rounds to tables or something. Then we stayed for another half an hour watching all the tables around us continue to be fully served while we were ignored. I managed to catch our server's attention again to ask for more drinks and an appetizer. I was instructed to go to the bar to order. I asked why we were the only table that had to do that and was told that it was because we had been there for awhile and it was busy. This would have been a little more palatable if all the other tables had to do the same, which they did not. My plan was to continue date night with my husband, in a place we felt comfortable and happy. Instead, frustrated, I went to the bar to settle up. I was handed a bill with multiple errors that resulted in an extra $20 of charges that had to be addressed and corrected. We frequent this establishment weekly, tip generously, and usually look forward to coming back. Not so much after this."

"VERY!! expensive, but the worst part was paying. I used my debit card, but they have a new system. Their machine wether you use a credit card or debit card it charges you $2.47. It does not ask if you agree to pay it and they will not tell you your paying it, it just charges you an ATM fee. Using a credit card it will be a cash advance and you will be charged by your credit card company as well. PLEASE BECARFUL. Also very rude service it's the customers fault all the time."

"I'm not a big amy ice cream fan and I know I'm inferior. I like it, but I'm not a huge blows mixed in my ice type, and that's her thing. all the other loves Amy’s so let my review not stop them from trying it I’m sure they love it too! I think it's also a little expensive, but that makes sense as I don't have toppings guy! Anyway, this situation is new when I was in austin years ago, directly opposite, very nice, clean and friendly staff. the image is minze chocolate chip egg with crushed oreos and marshmallows. Yeah, too much for me in there and for 9 dollars I would have had a gallon blue bell."

"2nd time here. 1st was 18 months or so ago. Two different experiences. This time there were only 5 people at the bar and we were the only table. Bar tender was the only person working the front. Beer is awesome! Food was still good. Service was lacking with only the bartender taking care of the front, and catering to the drunks at the bar. Out of some food that evening, so limited menu. Not nearly as many items on the menu as the first visit. Quality of food is still very good. Will eat at another place next time and come here only for dessert drinks (beer). What a shame. Cool little place."

"My wife and I decided to try the Lightfoot restaurant for the first time on our 16th wedding anniversary. We found it in a google search for fine dining in Northern Virginia and then one of our co-workers vouched for the restaurant. At the restaurant, we had to park at one of the free public parking areas in the rain less than half a mile away, but we didn't have a problem with that since we had an umbrella. We were greeted by a manager (we presume he was a manager since he was seen everywhere in the restaurant after he sat us down). The manager was personable with us as he sat us down and before he walked away from our table. He even came back by to check on us 2 more times before we left. We were serviced by the bartender who provided respectful customer service. The restaurant even gave us complimentary champagne (2 glasses) to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We ordered appetizers (deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes with shrimp) and then our main entrees (Braised pork, shrimp and grits and organic buttermilk fried chicken). Then we shared a big ice cream sundae (they were out of the mint chocolate chip one, but we still enjoyed the regular ice cream sundae). The reason for 4 stars and not 5 stars was because my wife unfortunately did not enjoy her appetizer (fried green tomatoes with shrimp or her braised pork, shrimp and grits entree). Other than that, the experience was great at the Lightfoot restaurant from the greeting, the ambiance, the food and customer service."

"Excellent in every way: greeted personally at the front door, and later by servers at our table, who were not assigned to us very friendly. The food was excellent. The kitchen made accommodations for my food allergies. They recognized our anniversary with a special dessert. I appreciated the air conditioning was not turned up so high you had to wear a coat."

"Legal 's use to be the pinnacle of seafood restaurants in and around Boston, a place you would choose for a business meal, and the place I would unanimously recommend to out-of-town visitors. Our experience at this Legal 's was just ok . The furniture (bench seats) we sat on were pretty old with torn material, and the food was just ok (my wife 's meal was significantly undercooked). The waitress did a great job to salvage the situation, and provided great service. My new recommendation to out-of-town visitors looking for seafood will be that this Legal 's is just ok ; not bad, but no longer great."

"we had dinner at lx before we caught a show. our server was very nice. the host at the front was a little quirky, seemed stressed and let us wait 10 minutes to clean our table. the eating options were good. our server was attentive, helped get our dinner in time so we could make the show in time. all our dishes were very good. fixed meal times. not amazing, but solid. it is a safe thing when they decide to eat there."

"Nice people who I 'm sure make good food when they make what 's been ordered. My party of 7 put in orders for 3 entrees, and 2 of the entrees were wrong! This was particularly unfortunate when the vegetarian calzone we ordered came overflowing with sausage. To make not-great things much worse, when we pointed to the sausage in the calzone, we were angrily told that it is listen on the menu as containing sausage. We then asked to see a menu so we could clarify the issue. After our server looked at the menu, he recognized that, in fact, our order was not listed as containing sausage. I 'm sure they were short staffed, and the food that eventually arrived was ok (not great though). All in all, a very disappointing outing for a recent grad! If you choose to go, I hope things go better for you--and stay away for the veggie calzone!"
