"amber rose restaurant and catering, dayton oh, has served our high-time reception outdoor by grandson for 140 guests in our house. joe and his whole staff were absolutely amazing from the beginning. joe worked with us to create a perfect menu that was “different” as the typical high-time menu. the entire staff was very professional and friendly for our formal high-time reception. they went beyond and beyond with fulfilling our needs. we received many compliments on the delicious dinner and the professionalism that the staff displayed. we recommend the amber rose for any special occasion they can have."

"The food is always delicious, and we really like that the menu isn’t overwhelming. Unfortunately, and this has happened twice (same server both times) we felt like we were being rushed out. I get the idea of turning over tables to increase revenue, but we were going to order just one more rounds of drinks but he presented the check without any discussion."

"We visited this restaurant on a Friday night at 8:30 PM, not realizing they closed at 9 PM. Unfortunately, we felt a bit rushed during our meal, which made it hard to relax and fully enjoy our food. The 14 oz prime rib was delicious, although it had quite a bit of fat. The ambiance could have been improved with dimmer lighting or a candle on the table. A complimentary basket of bread and butter would have also enhanced the dining experience. On a positive note, both the hostess and server were excellent. Overall, the service was top-notch. The price per person was around $20-30. I would rate the food 4/5, the service 5/5, and the atmosphere 3/5. I recommend trying the corn dish."

"The food was delicious. It looked like a run down restaurant. It is connected to a hotel,which looks like it was a big deal once. It looked like the manger was the waiter, and no other staff was there. It took 25 mins for our 1st course and we whereserved our sodas in a plastic cup and the food on China. The rugs where dirty, the stable was sticky. There was only a table of4 and then a table of six,and me and my husband. a couple of people here and there. Wait way to long for our food. Will not beback"

"The food and service at this restaurant are excellent, but the main issue is the excessive noise level. It is unbearable. Restaurants should be mindful not to seat small tables next to large groups of loud, intoxicated individuals. The noise level reached decibels that made it impossible for anyone else in the room to have a conversation. Restaurant managers, please consider the different preferences of customers who seek a quiet, formal dining experience versus those looking for a more lively atmosphere."

"It is a very limited menu and I was suorised and a little disappointed that there was not a ribeye on the menu. I got the NY strip steak instead and it was very good, cooked like I like and seasoned perfectly. The baked loaded baked potato was amazing! Service was great and the waitresses do the jobs of like 5 people. Great job!"

"We went to Jonathan’s for the dinner premium seating comedy club. The waiter was very nice and the food was very good. Only negatives were that when I ordered a salad with my entree, I was given a large entree size salad. When the check came, the charge for the salad was higher than what I expected. The waiter said that they have a smaller salad but I didn’t ask for it (so he took it upon himself to give me the larger size). Second negative was the so called $25 voucher for dessert coffee/drinks at the bar before the show. I expected to be able to order 2 things for $25 (like a piece of cake and one cocktail). No, I was told you get either a (small) piece of cake with coffee or one drink! Not worth $25! My wife got the carrot cake and it tasted like it was from a low level food store. We didn’t even finish eating it thinking it wasn’t worth the calories! I got one cocktail and it was a small plastic cup filled with ice and little liquid. I wrote this to inform others. If someone else posted this I would have been prepared to deal with these issues. I would say that I want the appetizer size salad and wouldn’t pay extra for the $25 voucher for the show. Other than those things it was a nice place to go."

"Had a lovely time on a date night with my husband two weeks ago and spent a lot of money. That was AFTER I booked a reservation for New Year's Eve (which is still on OpenTable and NOT canceled, btw). Got a voicemail on Dec. 26 that our reservation was canceled for a private event. Perhaps you could think ahead and consider that people book online so you don't ruin someone's plans for the holiday at nearly the last minute. Just a thought. I will be sharing my experience with everyone I know in Columbia."
