"I and my siblings grew up here in Squirrel Hill, and every other weekend we wanted to sing to our parents: “Like Lees! Like Lees! Like Lees!” until they could not help to cave, because how delicious their food is. It is fresh and quickly cooked, in appropriate size portions. The combos are perfect for sharing between family members and friends. Our favorite combo is the sesame chicken with fried rice or white rice, and one side of beef main. Now 10 years later, I'm a college student who orders How Lees every other weekend because it never gets old (plus, for the nostalgia). The best Chinese restaurant!"

"Food is served in small portions and small plates/bowls. Don 't order a small drink or you will receive the smallest cup your eyes ever layed eyes on. It 's the size of a double shot glass at a bar. Three sips and your done. Don 't let the surrounding area fool you, once I walked inside let 's just say it doesn 't come off to be too popular amongst the culturally diverse crowd. After tasting them nasty corn beef hashbrowns I can see why. The grits were okay with cheese but it did have that cream of wheat type of feel as well. The salmon croquettes had that I was just frozen taste that 's hard to explained. Not freshly made but premade and stored type of thing. I could be wrong. Nonetheless the waitress was very polite and attentive. The tables and bathroom was clean and plenty of parking was available. Place seems popular just need better cooks who aren 't scared to take risk with a little seasoning in my opinion."

"Delicious! I had lunch here yesterday and was incredibly impressed. The food was reminiscent of a high-quality home cooked meal. It was fresh, flavorful, and super enjoyable to eat! I had a two entrée meal with a meatball and the spicy chicken served with fried rice, as well as the seaweed egg drop soup. It was all faultless! I can't wait to eat here again."

"The sandwiches here are fresh, flavorful, and quickly made. They're generously sized for a great price, but the standout feature has to be the avocado spread. Unlike other sandwich shops that skimp on avocados, this place offers a hearty mix of avocado blended into a chunky spread that’s generously slathered on the bread."

"The menu is quite straightforward, so I decided to try the pan-fried chicken dumplings (4 pieces), the pork soup dumplings (4 pieces), and siu mai (4 pieces) for the first time, all for a total of $19.56. There was a brief wait of about 7 minutes for my food, which reassured me that everything was made fresh. I absolutely loved the soup dumplings when they were hot, but the chicken dumplings didn’t quite resonate with me—there was corn in them, which I didn’t enjoy, so I probably won’t order the pan-fried version again. On the other hand, the siu mai was delicious and didn't even need the sauce, which was just a small container of hot pepper and soy sauce. Overall, I’d give this place an 8/10. I will definitely be back to try more!"

"We had dinner here Sunday night during its soft opening. They are still working out the kinks so I am just going to stick to the good stuff. Shanghai Dumpling House feels like an authentic Shanghai Chinese restaurant. The dumplings were pretty much what you’d expect I could eat a few dozen at a sitting, but the star of the show so far was the cold sesame noodles which were more like cold chili noodles. I didn’t have the pan fried pork buns but they looked amazing so will have to try next time. Everything else was pretty good. I look forward to coming back to try more of the menu."
