"The food at this restaurant is great, but the service leaves much to be desired. I came for lunch and was impressed with the delicious food, particularly the Meatball Sub which was hot and cheesy with plenty of meatballs. However, I was disappointed when I tried the chicken parm, as it was just okay. When I visited with my family, the service was subpar. Although we were seated and served quickly, our server got almost every aspect of our order wrong. When we pointed out the mistakes, the server did not offer to replace the incorrect items. Additionally, we were charged separately for fries and mozzarella sticks, which was not disclosed upfront. Overall, I may still visit again, but I have concerns about the service and may not return in the future."

"we went for a date night and had high hopes on reviews I had seen. Unfortunately, eating our expectations did not live. in contrast to many other Italian restaurants of its kind we received cold bread with butter packages (the plastic/foils) when we arrived there. we would have thought of fresh, warm brot, instead of something that is clearly taken out of the refrigerator, and perhaps oil and fresh flavor. that was a missed opportunity. the dinner was okay nothing wrong with it, but nothing particularly right with it. the drinks were good, like the Italian cheesecake. credit where it is due, the server was very attentive and professional. the decor had a very beautiful, domestic, authentic Italian restaurant feels at, including what seemed to be family pictures about the years."

"The original restaurant was across the street from this current location ..they also had a pizza joint on the other side of the same street. For whatever reason they moved the original restaurant into this pizza parlor...not good. What was once a romantic setting is now a combo fast food grub hub. Looks like they do a lot of take out while trying to maintain an in-house dining experience ...just doesn’t work. Service is average to slow and the food is pedestrian. Skip this place unless you go for pub grub"

"I am writing this review about my catering order that we all enjoyed on Sunday, December 26. I ordered the 5-tablet package for $199, which serves 10 to 12 people. I chose penne with vodka sauce, chicken Murphy, sausage and peppers, roasted potatoes, and an antipasto salad. They also included a bag of fresh bread. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the portions were more than enough for our family of 10. We couldn’t get enough of the food; each dish was incredibly tasty! I would definitely order from Attilio in Toms River again. The ordering process was very straightforward, and the food was ready exactly when I requested it. Great job, Attilios! You've gained a customer for life!"

"I've known about this place for a while and wanted to give it a try. My wife and l went today for lunch. Walked in, place was dead. Granted it was 3: 00pm on a Tuesday, but staff was lounging in almost all the seating area and l found it unprofessional.But, they quickly dispersed as we entered and decided to sit down for lunch. Waitress came over and brought one menu, told usmore menus were on the salt and pepper condiment holder. Menu was colorful but somewhat confusing to understand. As thewaitresses found her cell phone was more entertaining than taking our order. I got up and told her she can put in a 14-in cheesepie. Food took a while and came out a bit overcooked, oily and somewhat crunchy. We're not the type to complain, but ourwaitress was again too busy with her cell phone to find out if we needed any refills on our beverages, I even had to get upagain and ask her for the check. Place could use a little reconditioning, dining room is extremely dated and in minimaldisrepair. Would have liked staff to be a little more friendly and attentive, but again it was a Tuesday afternoon in the middleof the day. So, maybe they cheer up when the Sun goes down. Who knows. Paid cash and left more than a fair tip. Was hoping for abetter experience and better food. You live and learn Had the waitress been a little more attentive, and the pizza not beovercooked and oily. "We really enjoyed our first visit to this restaurant. We started by sharing a garden salad and eggplant rollatini...both delicious. I may get a double eggplant rollatini next time as my entree since it was so good! This was followed by sole francese with a side of pasta with marinara sauce for me, and my dining mate had salmon with ravioli in a light sauce...seemed like a strange combo but it was very good. We finished by splitting a cheesecake...next time I think I'll try one of the chocolate selections. Two more pluses for this restaurant: it's right across the street from the movie theater, and it's a BYO! Our waitress and the owner were both very friendly and made us feel *at home*. Already looking forward to another visit!"

"The food is excellent, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Water glasses were never refilled, and dishes were cleared away before we were done. I had to chase down the waiter just to get attention. To make matters worse, they refused to accept a voucher that had no expiration date, even though it was still valid; then they went ahead and added an expiration date to it. It's a shame because we truly enjoy the food and the atmosphere, but the struggle to get water and keep our dishes until we finish really detracted from the experience."

"I've tried all the famed New Haven Pizza spots... and while they are all quite good, Jimmy's is special. They offer the same high quality ingredients and technique of the famed places, but since they're not nearly as overwhelmed with patronage, they put care into each pie. "Miserable experience. Went here for a birthday dinner thinking it was an upscale restaurant or at minimum a nice resturant. Boy was that not the case. The menus were so scratched up that you could barely read them. The waitress came, took our appetizers order, then came back with the appetizers without ever taking our entree order. She actually put the appetizers on top of the menus instead of taking them, which explains why they were so scratched up. She did finally put our entrees in, which was after the appetizers were completely finished and someone had come to clear them away. The food did come out quickly but overall it was disappointing to say the least. The mashed potatoes takes like a stick of butter, the steak was tasteless. I ordered the chicken marsala which was sweet, similar to Chinese sweet and sour chicken but without the favor. I honestly couldnt eat it. Overall, the service was miserable, the food was cheap. I would never eat here again."

"We were really excited to try this new restaurant that advertised live jazz. Unfortunately, the experience wasn 't good and we won 't go back. They were out of the first three bottles of wine we requested, then after searching for about 25 minutes, 'found ' the first bottle behind the bar. One waiter on a Saturday night (searching for wine) resulted in slow service. My pasta orecchiette was under-cooked ... less than al dente. The owner apologized and offered to bring a new dish but my partner was well into his meal so I declined. His rigatoni dish was just OK. The hostess apologized for our experience, as did the waiter and we were served a complimentary tiramisu that was good though still partly frozen. The best part of the evening was the jazz trio. Other restaurants in the area with similar pricing serve fresh pasta, have grated parmesan, and their advertised wines are in stock. So disappointed that this new find didn 't work for us."

"This slice was almost perfect for a plain Sicilian slice. L&B opts for both mozzarella and grated parmesan, a great touch that many squares don’t do. The dough was fluffy, but not too airy. The only point against this slice is that the crust wasn’t crispy. It was a too soft, but I have a sense that it’s because I ordered slices that had been sitting out for a while. Had the slices been fresh, this may have been a different story."

"Food poisoning! Me and my husband got violently sick from the food we had delivered. We ordered fettuccine Alfredo, Chicken Parm and penne ala vodka with the plan of eating it for dinner, and having dinner and lunch the next day. The food wasn't great when we ate it for dinner last night but when you spend about $70 on take out, you eat it. My husband has a cast iron stomach and vomited through the night, my issues went the other way. I do not want another meal made for me, I don't expect a refund, I'm just warning people for their health and wellness. Don't eat here!"

"The food is not the problem here, but it seems like this store doesn't know how to take a customized order from online services. Almost every time I order, the food comes out wrong because they fail to read the customization comments. The first severaltimes, I didn't even call for a refund as I understand mistakes happen, but I have made them aware and they still don't know howto follow instructions and still most of my orders come inaccurate. You are a restaurant and people have certain dietary andneeds and wants.... not everyone wants your default configuration of a dish. It is called learning your craft! "This place feels just like dining at Grandma's house. The pasta fazzoli (fagioli) is incredibly fresh and genuinely homemade. One of my favorites is the pasta with lentils (lenticchie), especially when topped with grated cheese and crushed hot peppers—it's simply divine. My husband loves the chicken Scarpariello with vinegar peppers, and our neighbors can’t stop talking about the pasta in pink sauce with peas and, I believe, sausage. The pizza is always freshly made; my go-to is the white slice, which is delicious. My husband, on the other hand, prefers a classic cheese pizza, claiming it's the same kind he enjoyed in the Bronx during his youth. This is a family-owned and operated business, and I've never visited without seeing at least one of the brothers there. It's truly a small, family-run neighborhood gem."
