"This is the first time my wife and I have ever walked out of a restaurant. Party of 2, arrived at 6pm for a 6:30pm reservation. My wife and I enjoyed a drink at the bar, which was excellent. We were then seated outside at 6:30, and things went downhill. We saw 2-3 servers/staff stop and look at us but no one, no one, said anything to us, let alone greet us. It was a gorgeous night and we were chatting so we didn't pay much mind. After a bit, however, it was ridiculous. My wife went to the hostess stand. We were quickly given some bread and waters. It was 7:05pm. We were told the manager and a server would be over in a minute. At this point we were done. At 7:08pm we had it and left, opting to walk a short distance to Lib's Grill. On the walk over I called the restaurant to ask why we were ignored and spoke with the manager. While pleasant and apologetic out night out was compromised. She said they were short staffed and had several large parties that needed attention. We were very much looking forward to a good night and what looked and smelled to be great food. The manager asked us to come back and she would give us a $25 gift certificate. I said we were there for 38 minutes at a table, in the front to boot, and were completely ignored. Why would we walk back? In this day and age, completely unacceptable. Shame on Galliano, thank you Lib's Grill for a terrific meal and outstanding service!"

"Isaac really took this evening above par. Our server was excellent in every way, but the catered bar service was phenomenal. Personally I've never ad caviar, but what a pairing with the scallops! My husband makes risotto frequently, yet the servings from Halls still feels elegant and special. Honestly the only denote on the evening is parking. I'm not asking for valet (but let's face facts, this is the type of place one could expect it) but it'd be nice to not need to walk a few blocks before being seated. In any case, from live music, to fabulous atmosphere, the night is one I will never forget. The experience went from a simple celebration of being relocated for 1 year, to a night of pure bliss. Every detail felt catered, and there are Michelin (speaking of, where's yalls star? Bc you've earned it in my book) star restaurants that didn't match this night. Thank you! Parking: There are several lots and garages within a few blocks, and of street parking as well. It's a downtown location, parking is annoying at best. Really research what else is going on in downtown for your reservation night, Halls sits quite close to the peace center, which can fill those garages and lots pretty quickly. Also, spot angles (parking app) is a neat tool to help on this topic. Updates when the garages are full and occasionally can point out a free space or 2."

"I will begin by saying the atmosphere is very beautiful and classic high end steakhouse. You walk in the doors to view of the expansive alcohol display. The light are low and the soulful r&b welcome you in as the friendly host walked us to our table. Weordered 2 cocktails; a Smokey mezcal for me and Four Roses Old Fashion for the wife. Both of which were delicious and met ourexpectations. Unfortunately that is where the positive ends. Our server took our drink order and we stopped him so I couldorder an appetizer and my wife a house salad. Another table was offered bread and butter but we must not look like bread lovers.Grateful they’re helping us watch the waistline. Our waiter needed to be stopped so I could order the tuna (deliciousappetizer) but walked away before my wife could order her salad. After sometime we finally flagged down our waiter so she couldorder a house salad, to which he replied ok and started to walk away. She stopped him before he walked all the way to tell himwhat dressing should would like. Not sure what would have come out but at least she got that out. But I understand as he wasreally busy hanging out at the bar and managing his 1 table; us. 35 minutes after arriving and many stare downs later hemeanders on over to see if we’d like dinner. Ummm why were we at a booth table at a steakhouse? Maybe for the atmosphere butno we let him know we were here for food. My wife ordered the boneless rib-eye with Brussels sprouts (whoops they’re out helets us know after a few minutes so Mac n cheese it is). I ordered the Ny strip with asparagus. When the food arrived, veryquickly by all standards, we put the service aside and looked forward to some delicious $50 steaks. Well I guess 50% isn’tbad. My steak, ordered med well was served med rare and looked like a backyard bbq not even using Costco steak. But had somepeppery flavor to it and decide not a $50 steak but you know this atmosphere must be work $30 so there’s that. My wife wh"

"I have been going to the lighthouse since it opened and I've experienced it improve immensely over the years. The bar is owned by a sister and a brother duo who have physically built aspects of the place and spirituality infused a vibrant pulse making it the social beacon it has set out to be.The food in the beginning had room for improvement and it has improved. They make the most delicious sourdough bread and you can purchase a loaf as long as they have them to spare which is a wonderful option especially when you live two blocks away. The staff is always accommodating and friendly. As times have gotten more challenging, portions have shrunk and prices have risen which is understandable, I'm happy to pay more to help a restaurant that has weathered the pandemic storm. One thing I do wish they would consider changing is charging extra for things that are typically offered as complimentary. If someone orders a dish that needs bread to eat it, don't make them order it separately. If a dish needs chips to eat it and not enough are provided, just provide a little bit more without charging them. I've never complained about this as a customer and I would never refuse to pay for extra charges. How ever, I recently brought a somewhat frugal friend here and he flipped out at the extra charge that was not disclosed which he didn't handle well despite having a valid point. We were credit the extra fee. My feeling is that for what the restaurant is charging for things, I really can't see them losing much by not nickel and diming as if it were an à la cart takeout place. I think it is better etiquette to provide typically customary items with dishes as customary. Perhaps this is the new normal, however I have yet to experience another place, at a similar price point, with equally delicious food follow suit. Nevertheless, this is a minor beef with an establishment that overall does an amazing job."

"This is our favorite place in the world to travel and stay on vacation. We have been here many times but each time somehow seems to surpass the previous visit. (We think there might be some kind of join-the-W Hotel South Beach-cult-inducing ingredients in the fragrance that you breathe in when you arrive? We don't care, because we are avid members of any cult here! Okay, one might think we are biased because we already love it here. We are. But we still have our eyes wide open and have expressed our opinions on things that might have fallen short of our expectations and they listen and respond every time. The sheer expanse of the hotel, the lobby, the pool, the restaurants and bars is just mind blowing. Even when they are at capacity, they have a way of making us feel special. They take time to talk with us, get to know us, find out the things we like most and curate our stay with the utmost care and respect. This was our first visit back to South Beach in three years. There were several places we had been looking forward to because of past exceptional experiences. The only place that did not disappoint us was the W Hotel. Service has fallen across the board, across the world, for so many establishments due to staffing issues after the shutdowns. The W Hotel had even higher service standards with their teams and staffing for this visit. Our list of names that impressed us is even longer than the last time. (Big thank you's go out to Eric, and David (who is always there! at the front door, Lucey, Laura, Alex (both of them! , and Lucas in The Living Room. Rachel, Eddie, at the pool. La'Vander, Shawn, and the rest of the dancing beach team down at Sand. Sole, Andrew, and the other Insiders who made our visit perfect. George and Rick who hosted the cigar smokers event. The Style Team led by Andres just made the place sparkle! Ricky at RWSB was a welcome moment every time we interacted. Honestly, everyone we came in contact with was personable, caring, and helpful. The newly decorated rooms were quite peaceful. There is a beach-vibe happening with the colors and decor. Much cheerier than the previous modern/minimalist look that we also loved. They kept the iconic shell ceiling lamps that have an almost wind-chime effect when one walks by them. So calming. We are already planning our next visit. We will be watching for snippets of information and updates on Instagram. (We were told about some of the next updates and they will be quite fantastic! Thank you, everyone, at The W South Beach. We are genuinely big fans and appreciate every little thing you all do to make the place as close to perfect as it seems to be!"
