"We called a little late in the week and were informed that there were no reservations available—totally our oversight. However, the staff suggested that if we arrived at the lounge by 4:30, we could push two tables together, something we've done several times before. Two members of our party arrived about five minutes before the rest of us and attempted to do just that. They were told it wasn't allowed, so they opted to sit at two separate tables until the rest of us showed up. When we all arrived, the manager was extremely aggressive, insisting we sit down immediately or she would take our tables away. She also reiterated that pushing the tables together was absolutely not an option. While we should have arrived together, her defensive demeanor when we showed up was unwarranted. The rest of our meal was uncomfortable, as the general manager spent the entire time glaring and pointing at us, creating a very awkward atmosphere. Just because we didn’t have a reservation doesn’t mean our money isn’t valuable. We ultimately sat at our separate tables and tried to make the best of it. However, the service we received was perplexing. One table, consisting of men, was treated like royalty, while the other, made up of women, received the worst service imaginable. In fact, the food and drink runners provided better service than our actual server, whose name I don’t even know, as he barely interacted with us and made snide comments instead. When the men at their table ordered bread, they only received it, while we did not receive any. When we politely asked for bread for our table, the server responded, “well, it’ll take 5-10 minutes.” When the bread finally arrived, he slammed it onto our table and said, “here.” Throughout the evening, he focused on the men’s table, bringing them free drinks and engaging in conversation, while the women at our table felt completely ignored. We were left with empty drinks for most of the night, and whenever we requested water refills, he wouldn’t bring them. Other servers were more attentive to us than he was. On one occasion, while we were sitting without any drinks, he looked at our table and then went over to the men, who still had half-full drinks, to ask if they wanted another round. It wasn’t until about 5-10 minutes later that we were even asked about another drink. There’s so much more I could say, but I realize this review is already quite lengthy. I can't quite understand why we were treated this way; it felt as though it was due to our youth and the fact that most of us were women. Perhaps our arrival not being simultaneous set a poor tone, but regardless, there’s no excuse for the treatment we received that evening. I’m determined to share my experience and let others know about it. While the food and drinks were good, they didn’t make up for the overall experience."

"This year,  we decided to do something a little nontraditional for Thanksgiving and go out for dinner. It was our daughter's recommendation to visit Bob's, and I am very happy and proud to report that we could not have chosen a better place to celebrate the holiday. We actually arrived about 20 minutes early for our reservation, but were shown right to our table.  Although I am sure this isn't the case during a non-holiday weekend during peak hours. Upon first walking in, the dining room seemed extremely dark, but it shouldn't be much of a surprise as it was mid-afternoon when we arrived. However, shortly after being seated, the lighting seemed very natural. Our waiter was warm, friendly and very attentive.  He offered honest, on point answers to every question asked, and was eager to make a recommendation when asked.  He never seemed overly rushed, and took the time to joke and cajole. The menu is an efficient single page, unlike some establishments that have pages and pages of things, trying to have a full menu of steaks,  a whole menu of seafood, menu of pasta, chicken, and Mexican. Bob's menu is simple and complete with a great selection of signature steaks, several appetizer choices, and a few seafood dishes to balance things out. Tuna tartar and fried lobster were chosen as appetizers, and when they arrived, I knew that we were in for something special. The tuna was soft and mild with an extremely fresh taste.  The fried lobster was light and crispy and perfectly breaded, and was served a mild buttery sauce on the side. The wait for our entrees was not too long and everything delivered was finely plated. Waygu medallions with seared scallops,  blackened redfish with risotto, rack of lamb, and a 45-day dry aged steak were our entrees and I simply do not have adequate works to describe the joy experienced in every single bite. Side dished seem to be an afterthought at many places, but not here.nd whatever you do, you simply must have their signature carrot, Moving on to dessert, carrot cake, pumpkin cheesecake, and creme brulee were wonderfully prepared, but I must say everyone at the table was a bit jealous of my bread pudding. When you are looking for your next special evening out, please give Bob's your consideration.  Everything we encountered was top notch and I am confident you will find it so too"

"I’ve been here before so thought I would bring some friends back for the experience. Bad idea. We were sat and waiting over 15 minutes for our beverages (sparkling waters) and over 1 hr and 20 minutes for our food. During our wait, we were disturbed by a rude, neighboring table who felt this was the proper establishment to blast trap music on their cell phone. We graciously asked them if we could enjoy our $700 dinner without having to listen to their music. They politely apologized, turned off their phone and continued with their meals in peace. The real surprise was when the manager then presented himself at our table as though it was an issue with him that we took it upon our selves to extinguish the situation. This made us feel as though our experience was not important enough to have a legitimate request of neighboring guests. If this is the kind of riff raff you choose to have in your establishment rather then that of respectable adults with mutual respect for others around them, then I will be sure to take my $1200 client dinners elsewhere in the future. We had our food packed in Togo boxes, on our table for 20+ minutes before our server Bethany felt it was a good time to ask for deserts. Our entire experience was sour, drawn out and ruined senselessly by a management staff who had no understanding of guest priorities and quality of service"
