"we went first to tudor city steakhouse for brunch outdoors with friends, and it was fabulous. we have been back to dinner twice since then and it has not fulfilled our first experience. the dining room itself is beautiful and the service is very courteous. but eating is in order. for our first dinner we went full steakhouse: keilsalat, porterhouse, framed spinat, kartoffeln. no one was a game for other nyc steakhouses we love. the steak was simply not so delicate or tasteful, and none of the sides stood out on some wise. last week we went back to try their non-steak menu. my wife had the Breanzino special, and I had another special: seafood with linguini in red sauce, seasoned (white soße was also an option). nothing bad about one of our main things, but the breanzino plate just didn't look well and the fish was a little more fishy than expected. the generous seafood dish included a few excellent garnel and good calamari, mush and mush, along with enough pasta for a poor. but the lobster was overboiled and the sauce was missing the bright taste that this $59 should have had. it is still a nice culinary experience, because the room is elegant (but not too stuffy and the service attentive, but you wish that the food was thrown up a crab. (end: there is an upper and a lower section to the dining room. the upper part has a live musician who knocks old melodies in one voice and with a volume that would not improve my culinary experience. it is not too bad to sit in the back of the lower section where we asked."

"We really enjoyed our stop here on our way back from our trip! The restaurant has a classic diner atmosphere, complete with delicious food and excellent service. With such a vast menu, it's hard to believe anyone wouldn't find something they like! Our waiter was friendly and funny, which added to the experience. We will definitely make a point to return during our travels!"

"Hidden gem: Peruvian/Chinese fusion cuisine. Spanish-speaking Chinese family who immigrated to the U.S. from Peru! Who woulda thought? This place is da bomb-digity! You gotta try the South American style chicken. I always get the half chicken with fried rice plantains when I visit this neighborhood. Very inexpensive reasonably priced...dare I say cheap. Locals go here, not touristy at all. Keep this place a local secret before the prices go up and gets ruined."

"During a recent visit, my friend from St. Joseph took me to this restaurant and I absolutely loved it! While it was too chilly to sit outside and enjoy the views of the river, I was delighted by the cozy and woodsy decor of the dining room. The restaurant has a full bar, an excellent wine list, and a great selection of craft beers on tap. Our friendly and helpful server brought us fresh hot popovers with honey butter, which were absolutely delicious. My friend ordered the glazed salmon and I chose the pork ribs, both of which were fantastic. If we had room for dessert, I would have definitely gone for the lava cake - maybe next time!"

"Been going here for 4 years now. Thing have gone downhill fast. Last 3 visit have been very long waits. Over 1 1/2 hour after ordering breakfast food and still hadn't received it. Ended up paying for the coffees and leaving. As we left people paying said they waited 2 hrs. I'm sorry but whomever is running the place has lost their passion and it shows. Another issue I had I watched a kitchen staff employee go to the restroom with a kitchen towel over his shoulder. Then came out same towel and walk right in the kitchen."

"The bread was hot and delicious. But, when we finally got waited on, many people came in after us they were on their salads before she took our orders.we got French onion soup with my meal hum no cheese on it? I asked for cheese she said that would be an extra charge to fix my water down brown soup. My friend peppered hers up. Our combination seafood platter was so fried and smelled the crab cakes needed old bay Yes they asked if everything was ok my friend felt sorry for them so we said nothing and left. Would not recommend this again it needs a hospitality class , a cook book, cleaning crew. Lots of parking but no ramp that we saw"

"Had the walleye dinner and it was fabulous. Went on a recommendation of a friend cause we never new about it. This is one place in Erie that will definitely get return trips from us. During the season I'd say make a reservation, cause word travels fast and Syd's place gets packed."

"Meal Type: Dinner Price Range: $30–50 per person Food: ★★★★★ Service: ★★★★★ Atmosphere: ★★★★★ If you're looking for a fantastic dining experience, look no further! I highly recommend trying the blackened salmon—it was simply exquisite. The food was top-notch, earning a perfect score. The service was equally impressive, with attentive staff making the evening enjoyable. The atmosphere of the restaurant was delightful, creating a perfect setting for a relaxing dinner. As for parking, there’s plenty of space available with a free parking lot, making it hassle-free to get in and out. Overall, an excellent choice for dinner!"

"We would like to give them a much better review because it used to be one of our favorite places to go, but because they've cut back their menu options and removed all of our favorite dishes, three stars is being generous. Hopefully when they get back in the saddle after this Covid mess, they'll bring back some of our favorite menu items, and we'd be happy to go there much more often like we used to."

"Cooke’s has been an old standby for my husband and his family for years (20+ . We usually eat here once during our annual cape pilgrimage. We had a late lunch here around 2:30 on the Saturday before July 4th and were pleasantly surprised by the lack of a hung crowd….as it can get seriously busy. For everyone: —there is indoor and some outdoor seating —there are bathrooms with flushing toilets that generally are clean but smell gross (they always smell like old standing mildew water and it’s kinda/really gross smelling —they have all the condiments you need regardless of eat in or take out For parents: —there are booster seats and high chairs —there is a changing table on the women’s restroom —you have enough “kid food” options here to be able to have what you want and satisfy the littles too (although my daughter this year griped about the charbroil on the burger Food: —clams were great (we get the clam roll instead of the platter as it’s less expensive with almost as many clams —fish sandwich—was hot and delicious —fish tacos were tasty and portion was generous —burger was tasty to us but not the kids who didn’t like the external char (but it was not dry or burned, just outer char"
