"We found this restaurant in the Southern Exposure magazine and read the reviews. Most of them were positive so we decided to try it. Boy what a disappointment!! We ordered appetizers, pimento and hoe cakes to start. The pimento was soooooo salty that it made it inedible. The hoes were good but plain without the pimento! Then we ordered the grilled romaine which came out very soggy. Ingredient wise it sounded potentially amazing. But it was not well executed. Lastly were the pork belly lettuce wraps. It was a bad marriage of flavors and the pork was a little tough. And that's as far as we got because we were so disappointed we decided to get up and leave and cut our losses and eat our main course elsewhere. We also ordered coffee and even that was disappointing. So whoever was cheffing tonight did not seem to have his/her/their/it's heart in it. A lot of potential but mainly disappointment. Taylor, our server, was great!! We pride ourselves in choosing really restaurants and even though tonight was not good, I'm sure there must have been some really good nights based on the reviews. Tonight was not one of them."
