"The server was rude and wasn’t aware of menu online and when asked about it she immediately became agitated more rude. We ordered oxtails plates for dine in and we were given carry outs. We attempted to dine in but it was incredibly hot inside the restaurant and when we requested more napkins, the request was questioned rudely. We received numerous eye rolls and up and down looks. I thought I was in high school. The rice was hard and soft and the meat appeared to be cooked repeatedly. Upon eating a few bites, I my stomach has been flip flopping since. I love Jamaican food but this establishment is making a mockery of it. My husband always finishes his food and mine but he didn’t eat half of this meal. He said it was horrible. Also the cabbage had a puddle of grease around it. We will not be returning."

"Treasure of the Treasure Coast. Fabulous food, good value, courteous friendly service. This is your basic mom/pop strip mall Jamaican foodery. IMHO, this place was the best dining experience during my stay in the area. The spinach/crab appetizer is a must. Other menu items that my party ordered included the seafood paella, coconut shrimp, shrimp kebabs, and cheese fries. The seafood paella was wonderful and fresh. Seasoned just right. the coconut shrimp were crispy and delicious, and the kebabs were very good as well. They came with a really tasty coconut grit cake which was oh so good. The cheese fries catered to one of our children and came out with lots of cheese. She loved it. The guy in the kitchen here knows what he is doing. A real artist. Don't visit the area without trying this place."

"However, the food, mostly tacos, took a bit longer to arrive and had significantly more cabbage than meat, reminding me more of a Chinese egg roll than a taco. The hookah attendant walked by us three times before we had to remind our server about our hookah request, after which we waited an additional 20 minutes for it to arrive. There were two bathrooms downstairs; one was locked the entire time, and the other had no working light and didn't lock. It seemed they were understaffed that day, as the music, vibe, and drinks were quite enjoyable. When we placed a second drink order, we waited almost 15 minutes for cups and still didn't get a pitcher. When we were ready to leave, we realized the hookah girl never returned our change, and we had to wait again for that. Despite these issues, I'll consider returning on another day since, as I mentioned, the music, vibe, and drinks were really good."

"I truly enjoy the food at this restaurant. It's become a must-visit place whenever I come to see my friend in the area. Don’t miss out on the mixed greens! You’ll never experience kale that tastes better than your grandmother's collard greens until you try this. Be sure to say hello to Dullah—I absolutely adore her! She’s fantastic and makes the best rum punch in the world. If you try it, make sure you have a designated driver, because you'll definitely want a second round!"

"Unfortunately, my experience was very unimpressive. I came on Sunday for their bottomless brunch buffet and bottomless mimosas. Bottomless brunch buffet is $34/pp and the bottomless mimosas are an additional $12/pp. I had been wanting to try Jerk N Jive since I moved to Maryland 3 years ago, but their prices always threw me off. I figured the bottomless brunch was a good opportunity to give them a try (I was drawn in by the bottomless mimosas since there's only one other place I know in Frederick that offers that lol . Walking in to the place, I was pleasantly surprised with the vibe. It's a lot nicer than I was expecting. Not fancy by any means, but not casual or hole in the wall. It looks clean and it's not too noisy. Average noise level at most. Our server was very attentive. He checked on us several times throughout our time there. It was not very busy when we got there (11am Sunday and didn't get too much busier while we were there. Now to the food: very unimpressive!!! I was actually quite disappointed with the buffet food. It seemed to be kept warm not hot, so by the time you got to your seat your food was cold already. With the cost of the buffet, I was expecting so much more. For what you get, it seemed more like a $20 buffet than a $34 one! I tried the curry chicken (was good! , the peas and rice (not bad , sausage and bacon (O-K , gravy (not warm/hot enough!!! It was O-K , jerk salmon (needed more flavor, kinda bland , waffle (AMAZING! , French toast (meh , fried chicken (very bland , and an omelet from the omelet station (MEH! Too eggy for me considering the toppings ratio. Maybe I should've asked for a little less egg . The bottomless mimosas comes with a flavor you choose and they just bring you a bottle. I chose strawberry so they gave me a bottle of champagne and strawberry syrup. I had to pour it and mix it myself. Overall, my favorite things here were the curry chicken and the waffles!! Not even the mimosa made anything better. I'm glad I tried it but I don't think I'll be back. I think it's overpriced for the quality you actually get. I feel like you pay just as much as Dutch's Daughter for lesser quality presentation and food. I love a great bottomless brunch, especially mimosas! They would've had me as a returning customer had it been on point."

"Wow, where do I even begin? From the moment I walked in, the service was incredibly warm and friendly! Samantha greeted me with a smile, made me feel welcome, and handed me the menu. My order was quickly prepared and the food was fresh! When I finally tasted it at home, I was blown away! Each bite was packed with flavor and I couldn't get enough. I even had some leftovers, but couldn't resist coming back for more. Samantha, who remembered me, greeted me with the same enthusiasm and friendliness as before. I absolutely love this place and highly recommend it! The atmosphere is great, the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious. I am beyond satisfied."

"Located in a less than picturesque area of Glen Burnie, surrounded by used car lots and transmission repair shops, this restaurant may not seem like much from the outside. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing food and great service. I ordered a simple jerk chicken sandwich with fries, and was blown away by the tender, juicy, and spicy chicken nestled between slices of sweet coco bread. The homemade pineapple ginger juice was also a highlight of the meal. The staff, particularly Marlon, was incredibly friendly and helpful, suggesting I try their whole snapper on my next visit. Overall, despite its less than ideal location, I will definitely be returning to this restaurant soon. If only it were situated by the water or a marina, I would become a regular customer."

"I ordered ahead of time. I received my notice from PostMates that my order is ready, but when I get here, it isn?t ready and I had to wait 20 minutes. I waited and was told to wait 10 minutes. I came back and it still was ready. To add insult to injurythey said we can?t help that. The cook told us 10 minutes. The won?t refund or give a discount!! Horrible service!!!!!"

"Wonderful gem in the heart of West Philly! Visited for the first time this past weekend and will definitely be back. The food was delicious, and our server was friendly. Be warned it's a BYO we didn't know this ahead of time . Also, there were a lot of rules listed at each table, which was a bit of a turnoff. For example, I don't really understand the outrageous BYO corking fees $7 per bottle of wine or $4 per can of beer?? . Plus the rules say that all dining is limited to 90 minutes, even though there were only 3 total parties there at 7pm on a Saturday night. If they ease up on the restrictions I think they would get more dining customers!"

"Sugar Shack never disappoints! Always a must visit when in Ocean Isle. Order the steak, ribs, chicken wings, coconut shrimp and you can’t go wrong. So many other delicious choices as well and don’t forget to add some of their famous sauce. The slaw, which comes with the entrees, is the best around. Thanks Sugar Shack for always being our go to place!!"

"It has been said if you want to understand and learn about a culture, you should eat their food. I like Jamaican jerk chicken, I like rice and peas, also known as rice with beans. The flavor of the Caribbean, found with the bahamians as well as the Haitians. Those flavors are to be found here. The people who waited on me were very friendly and inviting. I went here for lunch with a friend he had the oxtail he remarked that it was very good. I had the jerk chicken with the barbecue sauce on it. Understand they put barbecue sauce all over the plate not just on the chicken. So if you ask for barbecue you better love barbecue sauce because they put lots on it. You should try this place you may find it to your liking."

"Highly disappointed!! Need to work on both delivery and pick up service. This was the fourth time I ordered food and had to wait a long time to get it. Ordered delivery this time around the driver took 2 hours to deliver. Call the restaurant the lady kept saying the food will be there soon, and she will call me back to let me know what’s going on. She never called lied! Only to find out the food never left the restaurant no driver assigned to deliver the food. Order was placed at 3:50 food got delivered way after 5. The driver said the restaurant never called him and reached out to him mins after 5. What made it worst they gave me the wrong order! Sickening."

"I found a great place that serves delicious and fresh Caribbean food. They have a wide variety of options including oxtail, curry goat, shrimp, and fish. I highly recommend trying the Rasta Pasta as it is creamy and the portion sizes are generous for the price. It might be a bit crowded during lunch time because they are very popular. The service is excellent and very accommodating. I will definitely be looking into their delivery options for my everyday meals."

"Dad and I went to visit the national cemetery (grandpa is buried) for memorial day weekend. Decided to eat in Leavenworth before headed back to K.C. and stopped at Island Spice Jamaican Restaurant. Fantastic! We both had the jerk pork dish with red beans and rice and it did not disappoint. My pork was a bit fattier than my dad's portion but, boy did it just melt in my mouth. Perfectly rendered fat, smoked to perfection, seasoned to perfection and seared to perfection. Just brilliant. Also, a bun … – show"

"Highly recommend! The flavor of the food was delicious. We ordered the jerk chicken lunch plate and the jerk salmon. I knew this restaurant was going to be good when the sweet plaintain were actually sweet! The rice and peas were really delicious too. Not only was the food good but make sure you get the Tropical Storm Margarita. That coconut flavor made the drink instantly one of my favorites. The watermelon margarita was refreshing too. I appreciate that they are not stingy with the drink size too! The host was really kind and offered recommendations based on the type of drink we wanted. Great service, great music, and great food and drinks! I will be back again for my birthday! Yes, I’ll drag my butt from Brooklyn out to Long Island for this. Next time I’m going for the curry chicken and the macaroni."

"They have an inadequate food supply system. Making a point of sale and not truly having the goods. No willingness to truly accommodate the customers and argue with as if your wrong for ordering and waiting 20-30+ mins to just say we can’t do this. On top of price points that are astronomically above true market value. I tried this place again and they served me raw snapper, the chef( cook not polite staff always on they’re cell phone. Just a straight no go until the staff is trained properly or replaced with people of compassion and dignity when it comes to cooking and serving the people of its communities."
