"I heard about this place while visiting my father-in-law at a nearby hospital on June 13, 2018. After the visit, we were all hungry and decided to do a quick search on Yelp for a neighborhood restaurant. That's how we ended up at Taste of the Caribbean, and we are so glad we did! The cuisine is Jamaican, full of flavorful dishes. The atmosphere is lively, with a vibrant mural outside that sets the tone for the Jamaican spirit inside the restaurant in Seattle. The interior has pale yellow walls adorned with flags, restaurant merchandise, and TV sets hanging from the ceiling. Outside, there is a patio with plenty of seating under a nice canopy for more diners. I ordered the Ackee Saltfish ($18) with rice beans and salad, as well as the Jerk Pork ($16) with steamed rice and salad, among other items ordered by our group. I loved the bold jerk seasoning, the delicious Jamaican flavors, and the well-presented dishes. I loved the experience because it felt like I was getting a true taste of the Caribbean in my own backyard. The cost is reasonable, with entrees ranging from $11-$18."
