"This is a true treasure in Emeryville! The service is great and very personal, they are very attentive. The food is delicious ?, so delicious I didn't even take any photos until dessert. "I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect chorizo burrito because I loved eating them as a child and I have found the place. El Torazo is my jam. I ordered four burritos from them. Don’t change the recipe. It was cooked to perfection and they even had my requests to add things into the burrito made. You got yourself a returning customer. Keep up the great work guys!Update 3/27/24So I still love the burritos but I’m gonna have to ding you some stars cause you didn’t give me any chips with my order this time. Also you give three sauces per burrito but I have four so if you could make sure you have enough sauces per burrito. Please fix this and you’ll get back the stars."

"My friends and I made a reservation at MX Tapas on a Friday night. We were seated quickly, but it took some time for our drink orders to be taken. Another server came to take our drink orders eventually. After receiving our drinks, we ordered a tapas plate which took about 30 minutes to arrive. The food was tasty. When a friend joined us and ordered two tacos, it took another 30 minutes for them to be served. The server apologized for the delays but did not offer any explanation."

"That was really great! It's definitely one of the best Mexican restaurants with a drive-thru I've ever come across. This is like the Taco Bell of McDonald's, where you can do most of the same things, but the quality is a million times better. I had a crispy chicken taco, a crispy beef taco, and a carne asada street taco. Each one was bursting with flavor and tasted very authentic. The portion sizes were generous, and I can't wait to go back—I'm seriously considering heading back for another taco right now!"

Occasionally, I come across a gristly piece of meat, but overall, everything tastes fresh, is served hot, and is reasonably priced. Her queen sauce is delicious, and so is the pico de gallo. "First time to Taco Palenque. Food is almost home style for a fast food restraunt. The Barbacoa Tacos are really good. Great flavor. Chilaquiles taco was spicy but very good flavor. The chicharron prensado taco was delicious almost like my mom used to make.. thank you for the flavor full memories each bite gave. Defenetly must try if you haven't. ? I would have taken pics but I finished all my food."

"Honestly when I went to McAllen, I was expecting to eat some of the best Mexican food of my life. Every sit-down restaurant I went to disappointed me with dry, overcooked meat. The best meal I ate in McAllen was honestly from Pollo Palenque! The chicken was so flavorful! This place is like El Pollo Loco, but so much better! The fresh salsa bar and the free chips seals the deal, and my sides of charro beans and mac salad were both great as well (even though the mac salad had ham in it and I'm really not into that, it was still good). Seems crazy to say about a fast food joint, but if there was one place make a point to eat at again if I'm in McAllen, it's here. Really could use a good scrub-down, though. Only complaint is that the place is rather dirty."

I've heard that there can be differences between locations, but this establishment impressed me with its delicious and high-quality food. "Got the Carne Asada fries on recommendation from the human bean across the street. It was $13 so I was iffy no regerts (sic). Not only was it delicious the serving size was damn near enough for 3 people. I was working out of town so I'm not sure when I'll have it again, but I know one thing, I damn sure will be driving back sometime to have it again. I do recommend adding some hot sauce for more flavor — the ingredients were great but very very lightly seasoned."

"There is nothing bad I can say about Mandys. From the moment I was introduced to this little hole in the wall to the moment I write this review, Mandy's is and has always come through for me. It's a small little spot but the staff is super friendly and very helpful. The little empanadas and chicharrones are one of the best I've ever had. Their lentejas are always spot on too. And it's just a place that makes me feel at home and just has amazing food, traditional food. Their fresh juices are also bomb. I always get the mango but lately I've been getting the Passionfruit."
