"Our experience at the restaurant was quite uncomfortable for my family and me, which resulted in us eating quickly and leaving sooner than we wanted. It was a buffet brunch, and although we weren't seated in a booth, my kids had to maneuver around me just to get by. I found myself having to carefully squeeze out of my chair to avoid bumping into the table behind us. While I have no issues with the food or service, comfort is important to me when dining out. Therefore, I am giving it a three-star rating."

"Amazing salsa !! Great service and a fun environment !!! But they need better cooks with more than one style of cooking who know how NOT to overcook all the meat they offer. ALL dishes taste very similar! All with burnt burn marks on "whatever" meat, mixed with similar spices and all well done to finish cooking. The burned cremation, like a fajitas, but for every dish? This is the second time that I had to come here with the same results ... I refuse the next time I am invited ... Maybe have a drink because the mood is good and fun ... she just need better cooks ..."

"We were three adults with two (well dressed and well behaved) children at 5 p.m. on a Sunday. The restaurant was half empty and the rude hostess pushed us to a high bar table between a gas station and the kitchen door. According to someone other than the hostess, they were taken to a normal table. The staff was either overwhelmed or just terribly trained. The service took forever, the orders were wrong, and the music was unnecessarily loud. BBQ brisket tasted like it had been hit with a mallet and soaked in liquid smoke. The only good thing I can say about this place is that the onion rings were amazing."

"We drove down from Columbia to Charleston and met friends who came into Charleston from Houston. Magnolia's was the perfect place to renew this 50 years plus friendship. The menu options helped us feel the culture of Southern cuisine at its best. Our server was personable and highly efficient… we did enjoy dessert also, but immediately walked a few blocks to enjoy freshly made pralines… it has been a very good day thanks to Magnolias and good friends."

"Menu items not as tasty as they used to be. Pre-pandemic was my favorite stuffed pepper in WNY. Now they wrap it in a flour tortilla and deep fry it. Less pepper, less stuffing. My wife could barely eat the meatloaf because of the texture. Seems the meat was pureed and had the consistency of mashed potatoes. The service and ambience remain great. Prices have gone up, but that is fairly universal. $9 for a pint of beer is still pretty steep though."

"I ignored all of the reviews! What a waste of our time and money! The appetizer arrived after the entree. The entree arrived while eating the salad. My son's meal arrived 10 minutes after our entrees. I ordered a ribeye but it seemed like a New York strip. The steak was sent back twice. Then I gave up didn't eat it. They refused to take it off my bill. They charged me 50% though I didn't eat it. Coffee came without a spoon. Upon asking for it, it arrived 10 minutes later then the coffee was cold. The dessert was old and stale-cream cheese icing was hard inside had a freezer burned taste. I tried speaking with the hostess and in the middle if our conversation she turned and started speaking to a waitress and never addressed me again."
