"The hotel is conveniently located right on the main boardwalk, close to everything Hampton Beach has to offer. The hallways do need some improvement; the carpets are worn, the windows are dirty, and there are fingerprints on the doors. But, this is the beach after all!
The standout feature of our stay was the amazing staff. From the front desk to the valet and housekeeping teams, everyone was incredible! We did experience a disturbance from a domestic dispute in the room next to ours. Unfortunately, these things can happen even at the best hotels. When I spoke to the front desk in the morning about the noise, they handled the situation beautifully. They offered us a refund and expressed their gratitude for our understanding. I cannot praise the professionalism and attentiveness of this staff enough! In an age where hospitality jobs seem less appealing, these employees were the embodiment of professionalism and always wore a smile.
The only other area for improvement, apart from the worn hallways, is the indoor swimming pool. It felt dark and dingy, and it hadn’t been updated in years. Fortunately, it was summer, and we had the beach to enjoy. However, if we had visited in the winter, we would have been quite disappointed with the pool area. Even our small grandchildren found it unimpressive.
Overall, I would highly recommend The Ashworth to anyone looking for a great location, clean rooms, and an incredible staff. Great job!"
