"We’ve been walking by Los Mariachis for years and finally got a chance to stop in. Hands down the best Mexican food in the neighborhood. Super authentic and a great menu. We got tacos, chicken and steak both excellent. LA style tacos. No flourtortillas here. Also got chicken milanesa platter. Comes with rice and beans. the quesadilla was not why I expected. It wasfried and amazing. The waitstaff was so great. Definitely will be back soon. I’ve been so curious about this spot. What anamazing restaurant on CIA."

"The customer service was excellent; I really appreciated how attentive our waiter was. He frequently checked in to see if everything was okay, kept our drinks refilled, and demonstrated great manners throughout our meal. He definitely earned a well-deserved tip! As for the food, it was good, and I would likely return. The only downside was the noise level from the music—it felt more like a nightclub than a restaurant. But, given that it’s a Mexican bar-style place, I suppose that's to be expected. Just be prepared for a hefty bill if you’re planning on having a full course meal! Dinner for two came to $84 plus tip, and we didn’t even order any alcoholic drinks. Nevertheless, my husband left satisfied!"

"Carlos was absolutely rude and should not be a manager. He served me on a dirt napkin the first drink. I ordered a Mango Margarita. I noticed that Carlos did not even pour 2 oz of tequila in the drink. He free poured for 2 secs. I tasted it and it was watered down. I then asked him what he would reccommend and he was very short and nasty with me. Saying I dont know I like them all just pick already. I asked for him to make another one this one top shelf since it tasted watered down. Carlos then pours Luna Azul Tequila which is not Top Shelf! Carlos then shakes up the drink again without putting fresh ice in a cup. Once again its watered down. Carlos was being very rude and discriminatory towards me and I frequent this location a lot for lunch. I have never felt so disrespected and insulted in my life. Carlos needs to be demoted and another person in place that actually cares about making drinks."

"This unassuming little place has barely any seating but oh so scrumptious dishes! Every order comes with some of the best chips I've ever had. Crunchy, layered, and bubbly. If that wasn't enough you get three homemade salsas 1 fresh mild salsa, 1 smoky chipotle salsa, and my favorite, 1 green slightly spicy and vibrant! I don't know what the combination is, but it's not your usual salsa verde. In fact there may not be tomatillos in it but it's drinkable! What to order: My teenager loves the regular steak (as opposed to skirt steak) tacos (3) that come topped with cilantro, cotija cheese, and fresh radish along with a full giant side of rice and beans. But to me the star of the show is the Chicken Enchiladas with red sauce. It's so delicious you'll want to have it again the next day. And guess what?! You can because one order is made up up of 4 HUGE enchiladas covered in that delicious red sauce and cheeese, then topped with lettuce, avocado slices, cotija cheese and cream, along with a side of rice and beans. This one plate will feed two hungry adults. I order it myself just so I can have leftovers! This is just a fraction of the menu so if these don't appeal to you, there is plenty more to feed you."

"Typically I’m not so harsh with ratings, this place however was Horrible. The moment my sister and I walked in, the music went off (coincidence). We were not greeted not even with a smile, so I said hello to the waitress and she placed the menus down and said nothing with NO EYE contact. That was my Que to leave but we didn’t. We received Nachos with dip as appetizers with a straw wrapper/ trashed and found at the bottom of the appetizers. I informed the waitress and she apologized and brought a new one out for us. We get our orders taken and brought at this time and not once checked on, the people were not welcoming at all unless you appeared to be the same ethnic background. Look if you want to try this place, give it a chance but my experience was a disaster. The food was not that good either, I really mean that. I was hoping to say 1 good thing but there’s nothing positive about this place, my sister even agreed and she’s usually very Positive about everything!"

"Literally the worse tacos I've ever had in my life...and that is saying A LOT! I had carnitas. Carnitas are meant to be flavorful, tender, pulled pork. I had dry, flavorless, cubes of fat with 1/4 of chopped onions. I examined the cubes, and 60-70% was nothing but PURE FAT, not even a sign of actual meat. The guac was 65% onion, the green salsa was devoid of flavor and was a bright green color which was alarming. Atmosphere was cold and barren and rather dirty to be honest. I've been eating Mexican food for 50 years, being born in San Diego and raised in LA...but even compared to the Mexican offerings in Ireland and London where I lived for 15 years, this ranks BELOW. "This restaurant is an excellent spot for tacos. I visited for lunch recently, and I found them to be very satisfying. I ordered the steak, chicken, and pork al pastor tacos. The al pastor had the most flavorful taste, although it was smaller than the other options. The steak and chicken were decent too, but I did notice some fatty pieces, which was somewhat unappealing. Overall, given the price, it was a delicious lunch choice."

"Being from Texas it was unusual to ask for tacos and be told on a Saturday that they only had chicken tacos. No fajita beef for the burrito only shredded beef. The margarita tasted like ice with a drop of liquor so it was sent back. Other than that it was decent."

"The salsa has a great flavor and our meals were fine...nothing special. The design of the interior does nothing to combat the noise levels on a busy night. So loud my table gave up on any type of conversation. When the host seated us he stated they were out of menus so it would be a few minutes before we would get one. The menus never came. Our server came by with chips and salsa and took our drink order. He also asked if we would like an appetizer. We told him we didn't get menus so didn't know what was available. He walked away. Got our drinks, no menus. Server came back later to take our order...we had at that point looked online at the menu. The online menu is lacking in detail so we had to make an educated guess on what was included with some items. Ordered dishes we recognized since descriptions were not available on each option. Then our server seemed to have forgotten about us and we waited too long for our check...which we had to ask for. Food was fine but not worth the terrible experience. Will not return."

"La Patrona is everything. I love this little hidden gem. I've been coming to this place since it was a small hole in the wall on Tinton avenue in the Bronx. I used to live a few streets away from this establishment and always always always stopped for the best chicken tacos and birra tacos OMG TO DIE FORRRRR!!!!! From their soups to their freshly made drinks every single thing that is made here is superb. The horchata is so FRESH and delicious. The Limeade (limonada) is sooooooooo freaking ridiculously good. Sour but sweet but also refreshing. 100/100 haha!! I totally recommend this place. If you ever find yourself in the neighborhood for whatever reason... do NOT hesitate to stop here. Yes, for those not familiar with the Spanish language they do speak properly and fluent English. The woman that is usually at the front taking orders is an absolute doll. She's bilingual sweetest person ever. She helps with recommendations, anything you need she's awesome. Not sure of her name but she's been there for years. "I was really excited to try the vegan chilaquiles at this restaurant, but unfortunately, my experience didn't meet my expectations. What I received was basically a bowl of chips with some salsa, a few slices of green peppers, and a small serving of beans. To make things worse, each plate cost $12.50, which felt incredibly overpriced for what I got. I ended up spending $25 for two plates that were worth about $6 each. I did notice they had vegan enchiladas and pozole on the menu, but after this disappointing meal, I don't think I'll return. It was a real letdown for breakfast—I came in hungry and left feeling even more dissatisfied."

"Here on a Sunday with my family and we wanted a big table. I have a table, but stood there for 10 minutes waiting on the table to be free. Finally it was deleted and cleaned. ordered and got drinks appetizer came out quite quickly. It took a while until our food came out and the family that went before us because the order went out there for a long time. I ordered my short ribs medium rare and got it well done. We all tried the different dishes we ordered, and the food was good. The service was okay. I think the food experience here would be different from a weekday. 10/09/19 18:30 Second visit this time on a weekday less crowded and got a clean table for a party of 8 once we came in. Our drinks ordered our food and it came out in time. Kinda lost our waitress attention while we were fed. Has not checked to see if we needed refills or just want something else. Other then that my dining room experience was better than the first. I ordered the red snapper that was fried a little bit, I would have fried it easily. It was still good and the taste was also good. Home made tortillas, salsa was good, everyone enjoyed their meal. I gave La Cecina another star to my review. Management only needs to contact the customer service of the employees. I'm not saying the staff was not good. Only the lack of attention to the customer. Stop and taste authentic Mexican dishes"

"atmosphere: such a nice restaurant! the walls are colorful, the decoration is festive, and the tables have pictures on them. I don't know if all the tables were like that, but more longer I saw the picture on my table, the more interesting details that there was to notice. our waiter often came enough that our drinks were never long empty and the chips and salsa were quickly filled again. some other places do not ask if they want more chips and salsa when it was emptied, but la siesta did! they had a good balance to give us the personal space while at the same time ensuring that our needs were met. with worker 5/5 eat: I ordered the vegetarian fajitas. they were good, although they tasted like sweet in only oil sawed. I think adding a little spicy would make this super. the chips and salsa were also very good. I would eat here definitiw again! food: 4/5"

"I've already eaten here because I bought a dinner voucher from travelzu. without this it would have been an expensive meal for what they get. the service was always very slow and it could be out of the lack of personal, but even the other few paints I had eaten here, it was also slow before the pandemic. the personal was nice. you eat well over all, but has rejected a bit of my previous experience. Maybe it's just a hit or something for me. but a thing is annoying that they calculate for chips and salsa. in the rule this is a stack free appetizer from a Mexican restaurant, but now they charge $6 for it. another thing that I feel is a torn, is her brisket empanada. it tastes ok, but definitiw not $18 worth for a piece big enough for just a few bites. the alpastor is a good value and tasted good. it is recommended to be divided between 2 people, and they are at the moment. the dessert we had was really good as the churros and maus cake (currently substituted for their lava cake)."
