"UPDATE: The owner seems to think this review is unfounded, but that’s not the case. I used to work there and consistently raised these concerns with him. I suspect Christine or Jimmy is responding to this review while on the job. While I’m sure there have been some positive reviews in the past due to the food being somewhat edible (though it’s all microwaved and unsanitary), that’s likely because it comes from Weis. I should have brought this up with the manager, but having worked there for several months and being close friends with many coworkers, I witnessed these issues firsthand. Not every review can be positive for a reason, and I hope this serves as a learning opportunity.
Additionally, the employees are paid under the table and only make around $8 an hour. So, when you're paying $10 for a burnt Weis croissant sandwich, keep that in mind. They use the same cleaning cloths for the microwaves, countertops, and dining areas, and all of these are then tossed into a bleach bucket in the same sink where dishes are washed. The cloths are rarely replaced and are also used to dry clean dishes. Jim is so frugal that the kitchen and staff area become excessively hot in the summer, to the point where employees feel sick from heat stress. Yet he refuses to keep the back door open to let in cooler air because it allows the air conditioning to escape."
