"If you're a fan of salty flavors with a hint of jalapeño, this place might be perfect for you; however, they aren't my personal preference. I felt the brisket and fries were overly salty for my taste. The macaroni and coleslaw were enjoyable, especially after I removed the jalapeños. I thought the BBQ sauce was good, but I couldn't determine if it was salty on its own or if it was just the salty brisket affecting my perception. The banana pudding was alright – it had banana slices, but it was missing the cookies that usually make it special.
Overall, I would rate the food at about four stars, but I think it's worth a visit for others, as it may suit their tastes better than mine. I left a 25% tip, but I didn't feel it was entirely earned due to the service. Our waiter forgot to bring our dessert, and I had to ask for it. He mainly focused on delivering our food and check and didn’t inquire about our experience or even greet us properly. I’m not sure if this is typical for the establishment, but it didn’t seem like exceptional service to me, so I would rate the service at four stars as well."
