"I reached out to Couch Tomato to cater a 60 person event that I hosted at the Radnor Hunt Races. They were excellent from start to finish! From the menu selection and planning of our tent, to staffing, set up and clean up, their service was top notch. Craig, the owner, made sure everything was perfect and his staff was a delight. The food was perfect! We had guests from 5 to 75 years old and with different dietary requests. I highly recommend the pulled BBQ sandwiches, and many guest commented that the mac and cheese was the best they've ever had! I highly recommend for any type of family gathering! "Stamford is gaining ground! My first three experiences were lackluster, but I decided to go rogue and not go with local suggestions. I decided to depend solely on google and my keen eye for culinary excellence. This has worked to my advantage, especially tonight. I ate at Fish Restaurant Bar. Nestled in Dowtown, Stamford featuring local fresh seafood. The menu was eclectic and very well thought out. They have weekly happy hour, weekly, and regular menu offered daily. I couldn’t get past the happy hour menu, not for pricing alone but the variety it offered. The dinner menu had something for everyone and the weekly menu was interesting as well. I started up with a dozen of Beausoleil Oysters from New Brunswick. First time having these particular oysters and I believe they replaced my favorite Blue Point. I also had the Middle Eastern Falafel Sliders, coconut chipotle vegan mayo, lettuce, hummus bi tahini served on a pretzel bun. This is one of my go to dishes every time I want Middle Eastern. The coconut chipotle mayo was out of this world. The next dish the Swordfish Lettuce Wraps, cabbage slaw and a ginger peanut sauce. One word; YUMMY! I also had the Mini Baja Fish Tacos, fresh jalapeños, cabbage slaw, mango salsa. They are very authentic and comparable to the fish tacos I had in Mexico. Next on the list was the Pork Belly Lollipops with a Hawaiian Smoked Teriyaki Glaze. Need I say more? Finally we come to the Spicy Buffalo Rock Shrimp with a buttermilk blue cheese. I will be honest I liked the blue cheese more than the shrimp. The shrimp was my least favorite of the five. I envisioned something entirely different when I ordered it which led me to have mixed feelings about this dish. I also had a couple of Six Point Hi Res Triple IPA’s that were the proverbial icing on the cake. The bar tender Patrick was on point from start to finish. Overall this was an excellent experience and I will be going back. Fish Restaurant and Bar is located at 245 Bedford St. Stamford, CT 06901"

"This spring I had a chance to stop by Element in beautiful downtown Sarasota for an early dinner before catching a performance at the Van Wez' with my father. In a sentence, Element delivers incredible food presented in a sophisticated way at an exquisitevenue with extraordinary staff to assure you an impeccable dining experience. My father and I reserved a 4:30PM dinner toensure ample time to get to our performance we were attending. The restaurant was slow at first, but after 5:00PM things got alot busier, and this was midweek. I am sure on the weekends it's a good idea to ensure a reservation, as I imagine the placewould be quite busy. Of note, you'll need to try to find street parking or take advantage of any of the convenient parkinggarages located around the Sarasota downtown. Having used these for years, they're safe as is walking around the city. We werepromptly seated and provided beverages. It took a few moments to receive some bread, and wow was that worth it. Sumptuous andsoft with flaky crust, it was challenging to limit ourselves to reserve room for our meal! My father ordered the shrimpcocktail as an appetizer and baked halibut. I went with the coconut curry mussles and black garlic and squid ink linguini. Theappetizers were ready within about 20 minutes of arrival. I thought that reasonable considering we were seated right as therestaurant opened. The appetizers were delicious. The shrimp with the cocktail were some of the largest I ever seen, and thesauce was brimming with flavor all very fresh. The mussles were a treat. There must have been 30+ of them in a silky sweetcurry sauce that paired well with the seafood. In reality, the appetizers were so substantial, I think they could be easilyshared by 2 people with no problem. Our entrees arrived about 10 minutes after we had finished our appetizers. Once again, theplating and presentation were commendable. My father exclaimed that his entree was one of the best dishes of his life."
