"Talk about a meal and a show!! If you haven 't been here you have to try it at least once. This particular Samurai has been here for years. The food is delicious!! They make the rice with garlic butter and then they serve you these two side sauces...I always only get double portions of the shrimp sauce. I think it 's a shrimp-based sauce. I 'll have to ask next time I 'm there. From the moment you walk in to see the friendly face behind the counter, to the table server, runner, and chef it 's an experience you 'll never forget. You can take a date, family, friends, or even go solo. The table is set up in such a way that even if you go solo you won 't be dining alone. I usually order the lunch combo with chicken and shrimp. The meal comes with a side of soup or salad, mushrooms (yum), veggies, chicken or veggie fried rice or you can order good old white rice. The salad has this ginger dressing that is to die for. The soup is delicious as well except that when it 's for lunch you have to pick one or the other (soup or salad). Whichever one you choose trust me you won 't be disappointed. For dinner, you do get both the soup and salad so you get the best of both worlds. Plus it doesn 't matter if it 's lunch or dinner the portions are very hearty. It doesn 't seem like it at first but once you have all of the food on your plate you realize it 's plenty of it. The only downfall is the heat/vapor, and you 'll walk out smelling like you just prepared your meal but you 'll leave happy. As my grandma used to say, Full belly, happy heart."

"We did have an hour wait after our reservation last night and that’s the only reason I gave it a star instead of a But based on previous reviews we were anticipating the wait. We noticed another group brought their Monopoly game. So just prepare yourself and settle in. I am so glad I took the negative reviews with a grain of salt. It was fantastic! There has been a pandemic and they are short staffed. But when you got inside you realized why the long wait and that everything was running as smoothly as possible. One waitress for the room, they time the tables out to have only one chef at a time. We saw two chefs total and the manager was running around grabbing things that were needed. Our chef and waitress were wonderful and attentive! It was my birthday so he sang to me a few times. The food was delicious as usual If you love Benihana’s and you want to support them, go and don’t let the negative reviews stop you. I almost listened to them and am so glad we went. We had a wonderful evening and a fun table We have been going there at least once a year through the pandemic and this was the first time it felt like it was getting back to normal. As far as the ambiance. I love that it’s got that vibe. I’ve been to the one in Columbus that is newer and more modern and still love Cincinnati more. I did notice they have updated their restrooms though. It looked nice. Way better than what they had been. In regards to a couple other negative reviews. Garlic butter was used in our rice and it was perfect. And they have had security there for the past few years. Nothing new."

"My family and I will never return to this location. Although the food tasted old and the beverages were subpar we planned on staying to celebrate my Mother’s birthday. The Manager on duty at the time was extremely rude and condescending. We simply asked for my Mom’s non-alcoholic beverage to be exchanged. My Mother asked a number of times and no thing was done about it. The server was new; we understood and remained patient. Time passed and we asked the manger about it and he said plainly ask your server. Time passed again and I excused myself from the table to speak directly with the Manager. His response was you saw your server ask him. I said excuse me aren’t you the manager? Clearly if we received what was requested a number of times I would not bring it to his attention again. The Manager rudely stated I have 5 other things to do. At this point I said ok no problem. I let my family know at this point we needed to leave. However we wanted to pay for what we had. The Manager then walks up with a drink in hand after we decided to leave. I said no it’s too late for that we’re leaving but we’d like to pay for what we had which at this time were drinks a few appetizers. He then says it’s comp’d and goodbye. I would like to make it clear the server was not our primary reason it was the behavior of the Manager that escalated the issue. His communication skills are lacking as well as his customer service. As a brand he does not make Benihana look good. We ended up going to the Edison location where the service was excellent!"
