"It's a couple of years since we last ate at this spot in Oakville Place and it was good to see that some things hadn't changed. The welcome was warm and friendly and we were seated quickly at a comfortable table for 4. Equally pleasing was the attention our server provided and her knowledge of a couple of the newer dishes was helpful. Attitude is all so very important and this young lady achieved that fine balance of attention and consideration without the hovering sometimes seen in higher-end establishments. Once the orders were placed, our drinks arrived quickly. $12.50 for a glass of a modest Prosecco was perhaps near where the market is in Toronto, but in a shopping mall in Oakville? That said it was light and refreshing and there were no complaints from those at the table. As experienced on previous visits to an O & B property the meals arrived together and the selections were delightfully presented. Tasted good too! This company talks about the quality and importance of staff training and it certainly shows. The manager on duty was visible during this lunchtime visit and clearly hands-on. Good to see.The room was busy but there was no sense of being rushed. We were able to finish our lunch with good coffee and a warm and sincere thank you from our server.Washrooms are on the main level and for those using a mobility device — say a walker or wheelchair — the restaurant appeared to be fully accessible. On the surface this would not appear to be a place for children, but there are items on the menu for the younger guest and in fact we had a 'little chap' at the table next to us. He was happy and so were we to see such a well behaved young fellow. No question that all establishments and their staff can have an off day, but so far this location within the O & B group of restaurants has met our expectations. They stick with what they know and can deliver well, and this might be the secret."

Two Dudes Eatery

"I love fresh grilled fish! I love variety and experiencing different and new-to-me flavors and combinations. Two Dudes Seafood has been on my radar for several months. I visit this plaza at least twice a month for the 15 Minutes of Fame Jam Session at Fly's Tie Irish Pub with Shaun Taunton and Shane Platten. But that's usually late in the evening and the beginning of my work week. On this particular day I was bound for Syd and Linda's Seafood. But as you may recall I tend to hit up places on the days they're closed. Luckily I was not out of options. I rolled in around 4:30 for a late lunch after some racquetball. Chelsea and another young lady greeted me right away. The dining area has around six tables and maybe as many bar seats so communication to your server is easy. I like this setup, my dining room is similar. Fresh Catch and specials are colorfully chalked on a board and there is a hand held menu. I love a good crab cake but decided instead on the Crab Mango Quesadilla. It uses lump crab and was really tasty. I was expecting a larger cut but these were smaller slider sized wedges as if they used street taco sized shells. Of course my entrée had to be indulgent so I chose the Pick 3 Hugangus with two sides. My fish selections were Blackened Mahi and Flounder and Grilled Grouper. Sides were sautéed vegetables and Mango Wasabi Slaw. I also purchased an extra side of Hush Puppies. Everything was cooked perfectly. Each filet was firm yet flakey and not fishy at all. The vegetables were also very good and not overdone at all which is tricky when cooking squash and zucchini. The Mango Wasabi Slaw was a huge hit. Each bite was tangy and delightful and really entertained my tastebuds. Chelsea brought me a special Atlantic Beach Aioli to dip my Puppies in. It was a great sauce and I really enjoyed it. I'm a pretty easy diner to serve. I enjoy being served but don't like to make a servers job difficult. Another guest came in shortly after me and this dude was a widget salesman if ever there was. Kind of a know-it-all pompous consumer that isn't a real **** but sure takes the long way around for ordering. Chelsea did a superb job absorbing every question he had and even gave him a quick geography lesson on where else to eat in the area. Kudos to her for giving great service to both of us. I was happy I came. I enjoyed my meal thoroughly. I would liked to have had bigger portions for the price, or just a lower price. The Hugangus is $38. That's $10 per filet and $8 for slaw and veggies. $62 for the whole meal and for the first time in a long time I was rethinking my frugality. But it's the beach. The fish was fresh. And it didn't smell like a fish market. If you'd like good seafood and good service this is a good choice. There is another Two Dudes in Ponte Vedra but Chelsea explained it's connected to Red's Steakhouse and has a different owner."

"Dos Arroyos is a fantastic local business in a weird location worth driving to! Best happy hour margarita I 've had! FOOD the food is fantastic. And I need to describe why. The most important piece is that items are freshly (scratch made rather than using bags of precut cheap items. For example, I asked for vegetables instead of rice/beans. Most places would bring me the same cookie cutter frozen veggie mix you see over and over at places. Dos Arroyos gave me something special with a freshly julienned mix including zucchini, cabbage, mushrooms, and corn. The salsa gets its own section below so I won 't discuss here but then I had the chicken mole and the taste of the sauce was delightful with a healthy mix of flavors without being spicy. Delicious! SALSA oh yes!!!!! Serrano salsa!! The Serrano is a fantastic pepper that sits on the sideline too much as so many salsas go for the jalapeño. There 's a different spice note to a Serrano but my favorite part is the unique oil it adds to the salsa mix that gives a round character that buttresses the spice into a small delightful tongue cocoon. HOUSE MARGARITA clearly made in house without using a mix. Again, almost every Mexican place I go to uses a cheap salty mix for their house margarita it 's rare to find a place that offers a house margarita this good. And super duper rare (yeah, I said super duper to find a place making a delicious, scratch, house made margarita for $4.25 (Happy Hour pricing 11a 6p . The quality value proposition here is staggering. There are some people that would prefer to go drink a garbage house margarita for $3 down the street because it 's cheaper, but be better than that and go have this house excellence. Give your server an extra dollar because they are working hard and your margarita is worth more than you 're paying. ATMOSPHERE quite enjoyable with music playing, low lnterior li STAFF the staff is delightfully friendly and knowledgeable while being attentive! And, while I was sitting at the bar (my favorite place to sit and get the whole vibe of a place , I saw a woman taking a gently through things behind the bar it was clear she was training a new bartender on items in the house as she explained where things were and what they offered. Although at the other end of the bar, she stopped for a moment and came over to ask if I was doing well and if I needed anything. That 's rare! Typically, managers that are training use that as an insulation bubble to avoid interactions I can 't talk, I 'm training someone but Zelina and her staff takes a customer focused approach. I 'm pretty sure it 's in her DNA because you can 't fake that HAPPY HOUR long hours and great prices on a vast selection cement this happy hour firmly into a top tier. Enjoy the savings get the house rocks Margarita it blows away almost every house margarita I 've tried elsewhere! OTHER I believe the reason this place has only 4 stars on yelp is an American problem. Most Americ"
