"I can only give this place one star because I couldn't give it zero! The food was awful—from the tamales to the tortas to the quesadillas; it was so bad I ended up getting sick before we even left the restaurant. It honestly tasted like they pulled our food out of the trash. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! They have a lot of glowing reviews online, but keep in mind those could easily be from family and friends inflating their ratings because the experience was truly dismal. The service was just as bad. I'm not the type to skip out on a bill—I always pay—but I will never return, and I'm doing exactly what I feel is right by leaving this negative review. Save your time and money!"

"Wish I would have remember to take a picture before we were half-way done. Ordered the combination Guadalajara which was more than enough food for the both of us. This is probably the best Mexican food we’ve had in our 3+ years of living in Utah. Complimentary chips were exactly the way my wife loves them, thin and just a little greasy. Restaurant had a good vibe, and the service was excellent all the way around. Only complaint is we showed up at 545 on a Saturday night and our “30 minute wait” was closer to an hour and 15 mins. Fortunately it was well worth the wait. Should mention that my wife is an horchata aficionado, and she said this was the best she’s ever had. I think I’ll try the pina colada next time. Definitely had some envy as i saw others being served theirs. Last think you mention was the shredded beef and pork were both very tender and flavorful."

"We've been going there for 8 years and the food, drinks, service and atmosphere are consistently amazing. The food is truly excellent, they use really good tortillas and the fish is always fresh and perfectly seasoned. They put a lot of work making the atmosphere of the outdoor patio so relaxing. "I am beyond disgusted with this restaurant. My husband has Wet Brain/alcohol induced dementia. I have explained this to this restaurant several times. But I guess getting money from a alcoholic and risking that he could cause an accident and harm someone or himself does not matter. Just a couple of days ago the ambulance had to take him to the ER after the bartender Marvin continuously served him alcohol. How does a restaurant say to me ?yes he drinks a lot in here? and continue to serve him alcohol. Shame on you!!!! Consistent money from an alcoholic and risking lives is more important to this restaurant. ?ohh yess maam I remember that day perfectly fine and he was sitting at the bar and said hi to him and told me that he wanted to buy a shot, paid for it, if you have that receipt you must have the ones that show what he drank last night cause I do remember seeing him at the restaurant drinkin last night !? "Paid $14 for 3 carnitas and instead was given the equivalent of school lunch slop. I wish i had taken pictures because I was in awe of how much I was ripped off. The tacos weren't assembled, and there was only enough meat for 1 single taco. The rest of the plate was a mix of rice, beans, and other foods i couldn't identify.Granted, it was takeout and I'm sure the in restaurant experience is better, but paying $14 for nothing more than cafeteria food is abysmal."

"Food was good, too bad a huge roach crawled past us on the floor as we were finishing up our meal. No one dealt with it, had to ask someone randomly coming out of the vestibule where the restrooms were to finally crush the thing. No one cleaned up the dead roach for a few minutes, employees looked at my mom and I as if we were weird for wanting it swept away (at this point, it's still in the middle of the floor surrounded by packed tables). Our waitress just shrugged as if it was another day. Definitely would not go back after seeing how nonchalant they were about the whole situation."

"Worst Mexican seafood I have ever had .I have never seen a 7 sea's (7 mares) soup (caldo).come with a full crab ? in the plate.we got this to go .what a shocker when I opened it up it basically filled the plate and the rest was 1 very small piece of fish and 2 whole shrimp not peeled with head and all gross right and very salty ended up getting sick from basically just trying it .this should be served with 7 kinds of seafood meat not even close!. Chicken fajitas with mushrooms really ? And the chicken was rubber. Carne asada sopes soggy instead of crisp not cooked thoroughly and the meat dry overcoocked no taste omg worst Mexican food ever. ? trust me I'm Mexican folks. Completely a waste of money and disappointment."

"I have been going here for years!! I have always loved the place. I eat here anytime I'm in Ft Worth. Although today I ordered the same .... "I finally took the time to write this review! I took my mom to this restaurant for her 68th birthday in September, and she absolutely loved it. We visited on a Saturday afternoon when it wasn't too crowded. The chips and salsa appetizer, along with the margaritas we ordered, were delicious. The bartender, Angel, even stopped by our table to thank us for our compliments and prepared a special house mix for my mom to take home. Our server, Martin, was friendly and laid-back, and the entire staff was fantastic. Our main dishes were flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. When we mentioned we were celebrating my mom's birthday while placing our orders, they surprised her with a mariachi-style happy birthday song that truly made her night. She can’t stop raving about how much she enjoyed the experience and is already looking forward to going back. With her favorite food, a lovely atmosphere, and excellent service, we have no complaints at all."

"Was it “better before”? Yes. Is it “a little expensive”? Yes. But is it the best burrito you can get in imperial beach? Yes! The bad reviews state that “it used to be better”, but it’s still the best in the area. I’ve been coming to this place since it opened, and have visited all the Mexican places in the area. The burritos here are hands down the best tasting and most delicious burritos you can buy in the area. Call it nostalgia, but I love this place. Do yourself a favor- get the California burrito with guacamole (they didn’t charge me extra like they did before), and the orange salsa. Even with the higher prices, the removal of the salsa bar, and the layout constantly changing, this is my favorite place to eat when I’m home. Great places deserve to expand and try new things as long as the food is still bomb. I love you, El Cilantro."

"I've always said a mexican restaurant is only as good as their chips and salsa, and theirs sucked. I ordered a combo plate with tacos enchaladas,and rice and beans. Everything but the beans had so much grease the taco it literally ran down my hand. The beans had a taste of something like nutmeg or some weird spice, the enchalada had so much cheese inside It got stuck in my throat, very hard to swallow. Overall taste, not pleasant. The server's however were pleasant good humor a little slow..probably wont recommend to others"

"(Update: we put a dispute on our credit card...owner is fighting it. In their argument to our bank, they told our bank that they tried to contact us about the order, several times. Note that in the initial owner response to my original post, no mention of trying to contact us. We can easily go to cell phone records to look for missed calls that did not happen. So in a situation where restaurant was not answering their phone all day, and has no voice mail set up, was closed on a day that their stated business hours said they would be open, they told our bank that we should be responsible for the charge because they tried to contact us. Pretty ironic. Again, Beware of Using This Establishment for Catering. )Beware of catering. We ordered from this restaurant a few days in advance for a New Years Eve gathering for about 15 people. They charged our credit card, but when we showed up on New Years Eve the restaurant was closed. The restaurant was dark and no one answered the phone. We had to scramble last minute to order food somewhere else for our party. No sign on the door, no message on the phone, just closed.To owner response: we had no way to know you would make this order since you were closed when we went over a few times during the day. We could not leave a message (we tried calling several times) and no one answered the phone. You also did not tell us you would be closed that day and and you never called us to tell us the order was ready. We had no choice but to assume you would not make the order, and had to scramble last minute to order from somewhere else."

"Being in my mid 30s, Mexican, and lived in Mexico for a few years as a kid, not including the times I went back for vacation to Mexico, this restaurant El Charro is still my favorite taco place! I had tacos in many restaurants. Alot of good ones, BUT!!! NONE hit the spot for me like the ones from here. They 're always fast too! Good prices! You 'll be the 2nd car at McDonald 's waiting for some garbage food for a long time while I 'm already enjoying the best tacos in the world! Lol I go here often. For almost 30 years now. "Hey guy's so I checked out Casa Brito!!! I am in love guy's please check this Restuarant!!!!I ordered an Horchata with a shrimp taco the best! On point the drink is freshnot too sweet not too watery just right.....I'ma pocky one but this taco is deliscious it had avocados cabbage like some sauce omg its soooooo good please come by they have lots of parking restrooms and entertainment music plus t.v's and must I there customer service is A thank you guys for this great experience at Casa Brita!!!
