"A Portland Classic! Bruno's has been a staple for Italian Food! Hadn't been in years, so it seemed to be a perfect choice after a Bob Marley show. 9pm on a Wednesday night and the owners were on site as always. We were seated immediately and our server was right there. We ordered drinks and some Fried Calamari and Mozzarella Pomodoro for appetizers to share. The apps came out very quickly but our server was wanting us to order our entrees immediately. We accommodated and ordered dinner, but asked him not to fire them too quickly . Our salads were out in minutes, I asked him again to slow it down. The homemade dressings we chose (Blue Cheese and Poppy Seed) were wonderful. Unfortunately we only had 2 bites before our dinner was at the table. So we skipped eating our apps. We had a few bites of salad and then jumped into our dinners: Ravioli Verde and Chicken Marsala. The in-house made ravioli with a super silky ricotta filling and perfect sage butter was amazing. I wanted to hold each piece on my tongue just to celebrate the flavor. The Chicken Marasala was so tender and piled high with mushrooms and just the right amount of sauce. But just as we started enjoying our meals, we already had take out boxes on the table. Our server was definitely in a hurry .... we finished our entrees, boxed up our apps and I quickly asked for 2 cannolis to go. The check was on the table so fast that we were uncomfortable, so we took our boxes and left. THAT IS WHEN THE LIGHTBULB WENT OFF..... our server should have told us that the kitchen closes at 9:30 Had we known, we would have just had a drink and an app. The food is AMAZING but I dislike being hurried."

"Upon entering the restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious patio filled with tables under umbrellas and a lively interior. There were still plenty of tables available, so we quickly grabbed one. Good thing we did, as by the time we placed our order, the concert cancellation had sent the overheated, thirsty, and hungry crowds streaming in. You wouldn’t expect such a location to be so popular, but Made in Argentina is a fantastic choice, and I have a feeling their business is going to thrive, concerts or not. This is great because their business model perfectly suits a delightful dining experience, featuring delicious entrees and friendly, attentive staff who feel like family, whether or not they actually are. They also have an excellent takeout and delivery menu that boasts a wide selection of empanadas and pizzas. Of course, we had to start with the empanadas. I opted for the blue cheese and mushroom variety, which was rich and divine, while I convinced my husband to try something different and he enjoyed the corn and red pepper option instead of his usual ham and cheese. They came with three kinds of spiced chimichurri, and being a bit of a wimp when it comes to spice, I stuck to the mild variety, happily polishing off both my portion and my husband’s during the meal. My inner voice urged me not to miss out on the potato salad, and it was absolutely right—deliciously homemade, loaded with veggies and creamy mayo, it was exactly what I craved. I also had a generous mixed veggie house salad on the side. My husband went for the chicken schnitzel platter, which was served with rice, hummus, a big basket of pita, and some sliced bread that we shared, along with a side salad. They serve the real deal with bottled Coca-Cola here. I can only imagine their pizza is great, and the sandwiches looked amazing too, so we will definitely be returning. I won’t miss out on another helping of potato salad for sure and am looking forward to trying more items from the menu!"

"After waiting 15 minutes, someone finally came to take our drink order, and we received our drinks about five minutes later. However, it took another 10 minutes before they returned to take our food order. We placed our orders, and shortly after, the waitress dropped off some breadsticks. My house salad arrived, but I had to ask for silverware. Instead, she took our glasses for refills and never brought the silverware. We waited another 15 minutes, during which the waitress passed by our table three more times without making eye contact, even when I tried to signal for silverware. The noise at the bar made it difficult to speak up, so I leaned back in my chair with my arms crossed, clearly showing my frustration. Still, no silverware arrived. Finally, we decided to leave and stood up. Another waitress came over and asked if everything was okay. When we mentioned we were leaving because of the lack of service, we inquired about the drinks' cost. She returned with our bill and told us not to worry about it. After spending an hour there, we had only received drinks and a salad that we couldn't eat without silverware. This was a very disappointing experience for my first visit, and it will definitely be my last. If you're going to position yourself as a high-end restaurant with premium prices, perhaps you should treat your customers as though they matter. A simple acknowledgment of being behind schedule would have sufficed. Ignoring customers is not the solution."
