"Eventually, Casey, the manager, approached me after noticing I was upset. I explained the situation to her, but instead of offering an apology, she told me that the people in line were the priority and that the line started there. She then retrieved my pizzas and, to my shock, slammed the four pizza boxes down on the counter before walking away without acknowledging that they were for me.
Feeling disrespected, I called out to her and asked why I had been treated that way. She responded that she was at work and couldn't discuss the matter with me. I expressed to her that I felt discriminated against, as no one—other than the hostess—had spoken to me during my wait. The lack of acknowledgment and apologies was very troubling. Instead of addressing my concerns, it felt like the manager was upset with me for being upset.
I encourage potential customers to be aware of how they may be treated here. As an African-American woman, I can't shake the feeling that this may have played a role in my experience."
