"To begin with, the service was prompt and friendly. I was seated outside almost immediately upon entering (this was on a Tuesday evening), and my drink order was taken right away. The bartender clearly knows how to pour, but despite ordering a spicy margarita, it lacked the expected kick.
I started with their nachos, and while all the necessary ingredients for a proper plate were present, it ultimately fell short on flavor. The chips were stale, and the guacamole was hardly spicy, which led me to anticipate disappointment with my main course.
However, my opinion completely shifted once the tacos arrived. The Al Pastor and Korean BBQ tacos were outstanding in flavor, texture, and portion size. That said, they also lacked any spiciness. At $2.75 each, the pricing was quite reasonable.
Overall, the patio seating, friendly service, and affordable prices contributed to a pleasant evening. While it may not offer a wholly authentic Mexican experience, it provides a welcoming atmosphere for a millennial crowd looking to meet up for drinks and enjoy some tacos. If that’s what you’re after, consider Taberna for your next outing. But if you're searching for a truly authentic and spicy flavor, you might want to seek other options."
