"What a fun! Find here below. Chinatown.Looking for a late night bite, but wanted to get something more unique, we found this place after a search in a long walk. I've had Malaysian food many times and love it. But you never know what you're going to get out of your place.I walked in to its simple decor and surroundings. Nothing especially concerning, but yet nothing especially alluring. There was a cute little light on the sidewalk outside that showed the restaurant name.Ordering is at the counter instead of at the table. That was unexpected. But that's typically a sign of just a simple place. And the New York City I can do with some simple places.Haven't eaten Malaysian food before even in Malaysia on several occasions, I didn't recognize a single item on the menu. I was a little surprised and concerned but read descriptions carefully and picked a few dishes. It's open seating, so I picked a seat at the end of a large table with a number and waited for my food. They quickly prepared it and brought it out. We had some stir fry beans, we had a soup dish with noodles and anchovies and some other wonderful vegetables, I may have a rice dish also with some stir fried anchovies and some wonderful seasonings I forget.First bite of the beans, incredible. I soon begin gorging on these wonderful beans sauteed in a fish sauce/ anchovy sauce/ some of the yumminess. It was divine.I moved to the rice and cucumber stir fry dish. The cucumbers were chilled, the stir fry was in the middle, with a couple sliced eggs and a coconut flavored rice. Mix it up and just again excellent. Then I moved to my suit that had noodles, spinach, some stir-fried anchovies I believe in some other deliciousness. How can a simple looking food be so amazing. In the end, I left wanting more. I was actually completely stuffed but almost ordered a second bowl of a three bean stir fry. That was how good this obscure dish was for me.In the end, I always ask myself one question. Would I go back again? The answer is absolutely. I would love to go back again and again and again. Unfortunately this is far from my place, but Malaysian food once again absolutely is divine.PSUnfortunately I forgot to grab pictures before we ate because I was so hungry. But you can see we thoroughly enjoyed it. I do have a picture of the dessert which was different and fun. The main dish was better than the dessert by the way."

"My family and I just left and we had a great experience here. I do want to mention that the hours on the door do not reflect actual working hours. I had no issues getting food but we arrived around 5:40 (after our movie) and I looked at the door and it said Monday Sunday operating hours. It was scheduled to close at 8pm. So my family and I went in since we were “early”. As we’re waiting for our food, they start to tell customers they are closed. I felt so bad. I honestly hate being that customer that shows up the last hour. I know better than to do this but the hours on the door said differently. I still feel bad because my family of 5 ordered their family meal deals. So a big order. Had I known they were going to be closing soon, I would have just left. They told assured us it was ok. They provided great customer service. Everyone was nice and the food prep was fast. The amazing thing about this is normally when things are made fast, there tends to be flaws. Like burnt food items or raw items. I am happy to say that everything was made to perfection. The chicken was great. The Philly cheesesteaks was good. The fries were my favorite, along with their little honey biscuits. They had great sauces to go with the tenders as well. The Mac and cheese was good but wasn’t my preferred item. I like my mac and cheese consistency to be thicker and cheesier. The mashed potatoes were great. Perfect consistency. All of our food was freshly made so it was hot. The way food should be. My son loved the food here, and was already asking to come back tomorrow. We will definitely be returning."

"I like how low key Fairfax Inn Restaurant is and it felt homey, like eating at an Aunty's house. I can cook pretty much anything on their Filipino menu, but sometimes I don't feel like cooking and they could probably do it better...haha. I went here for the first time over the weekend because I was craving tocino. So I ordered the tosilog (tocino, garlic fried rice, eggs which you can choose the way you want them cooked, I got sunny side up eggs). It was pretty good! I'm guessing the tocino is homemade. I wish it came with a side of tomato and onion but all good, I still enjoyed my meal. I was tempted to also order dinuguaan, but I knew I would be too full. My husband ordered the bistek and he said it was better than his parents' bistek. I actually ate his leftover sabao/sauce with white rice..so yummy. They have other popular Filipino dishes on their menu like chicken adobo, sinigang, pancit mami (soup), fried and fresh lumpia, turon (banana egg roll). I ordered halo halo for my dessert. It was pretty good and I'm glad they don't serve it in a humongous styrofoam cup. It was a perfect size. Halo halo is basically the Filipino version of bing soo but tastes way better because it has additional toppings like red bean, coconut gel, macapuno, ube ice cream, and leche flan. I wish they used the Hawaiian shave ice so the ice is softer as there were bits of ice...it was fine though because I still enjoyed my halo halo regardless. I noticed they had bibingka for sale and wish I bought one! It looks like there's American food as I noticed on the board they had things like fish sandwiches and I think steak. Service was quick and they checked up on us. I will definitely will be back when I want my Filipino food fix and don't feel like cooking. If you're looking for Filipino fusion like sisig burritos and ube pancakes, you need to go to DC for that. But if you are craving traditional Filipino dishes, you won't be disappointed!"

"I wanted to try something new for breakfast yesterday, so I was excited to see this place on Ubereats. I ordered a lot, because I wanted to make sure there was something hubby would like. I ordered the X-Tudo without salad for me and the X-Picanha for hubby. These are breakfast burgers. Mine had bacon, ham, cheese and a fried egg. His had steak, bacon, ham, cheese, fried egg, tomatoes, lettuce, corn, and potato stix. Mine was pretty good, but the burger beef was a little off. I don't know if was a lower grade than I am used to or just a hair past its prime but it tasted a little gamey. Hubby mentioned that the steak on his was low grade, and when I told him it was from a Brazilian steakhouse he said that made sense. He said it was very chewy, and that the veggies on his burger really didn't add anything. I would probably get him the X-Tudo without salad to try next time. The buns were AMAZING. Just beautiful.I got the lemon juice and got the strawberry for him. I loved mine, it is lime, super-tart, and very refreshing. Not a sweet drink for children, it was bracingly sour. Hubby said his was nice but not very strongly flavored, with the green strawberry flavor he doesn't really enjoy, like maybe some underripe berries were used.I enjoyed the Misto Quente, which I would recommend as a weekday breakfast, as it is a manageable amount of food that will leave you satisfied but not needing a nap LOL. It is a nice little French roll with ham, fried egg, and cheese.I tried the Croquete de Mandioca and the filling was good, but there was a lot of excess pastry around the edges I just discarded. The Kibe de Queijo was yummy to me, loaded with flavor in the meaty exterior and creamy gooey cheese interior. Hubby found the spices and herbs off-putting.The buns alone are worth going for, and the Lemon juice is making my mouth water just thinking about it."

"What happened to this Tan Hoang Huong? My husband and I have been going here for the past 8 years when the girl Diem was there and service WAS excellent. Until the last 2 times which were horrendous, so we will never come back here again. On 8/19 I ordered 60 eggrolls to be picked up at 11AM and when I got there, it was not ready. I waited 20 mins for them to start making it, causing me to be late to work. Today, 8/27 I called to order 50 eggrolls to be picked up at 8:30AM. Turns out that she forgot to punch in my order when I called. Without an apology, she continued to yell out at her mother to start frying the eggrolls. Then she was giving me an attitude when I told her that she grabbed the wrong drink for me out of the fridge; she took the pandan drink (green) but I ordered durian (yellow). She turned back and yelled at me chi noi la dua hay sau rieng (you said pandan or durian??! Then she turned to the younger guy next to her and whispered something. Once done, she turned to me and said you need to pay me .35 cents extra because the durian was more expensive. My husband gave them $1 and we left and probably the last time we will be here again. 1) you forgot my order, at least apologize 2) you got my drink wrong, don 't whisper things about me in front of me as if I didn 't seeI hope your family is reading this so that they know your attitude is causing them to lose customers. It won 't be just me but my coworkers who also like the eggrolls there. I will tell them to go to a different THH. 1 star for the food. -4 for service."
