"**TL;DR:** They do not take Celiac Disease seriously. I informed them in advance that my order was for someone with Celiac Disease and required gluten-free precautions, and they assured me they understood. I ordered a smoothie, believing it to be safe, but 30 minutes later, the person experienced severe stomach pain and was vomiting every five minutes, clearly reacting to gluten. If you or someone you care about has a gluten sensitivity or Celiac Disease, I strongly advise against going here. Their commitment to food safety is lacking."

"I’ve been patronizing Playa since they were in their infancy in Long Branch still operating from a cart. I’ve been disappointed as of late that the bowls are getting skimpy the prices higher. My go to bowl used to include strawberries but I’ve notice they’ve gone missing only has bananas now. The acai base isn’t as full as it used to be either. The Nutella has been completely omitted the last few times.The Glassboro (Rowan University) location has limited seating no outdoor seating at all.There’s more places that make these now but I’ve stayed loyal to Playa because the quality was better but not the case anymore"

"Ordered while there was no one here! They were working on a couple of mobile orders but in total it took 30 minutes to get 1 bowl!! I understand that there are mobile orders before me, however once a line formed they started getting bowls at much quicker. A line formed about 10 minutes after we ordered, and they all got there bowls a lot sooner where as we waited half an hour. Nonetheless, the açaí bowl was very good. Will be back with hopefully a better experience. Definitely try the Nutella açaí bowl!!!"

"The Tulum quesadilla was fantastic! I needed something quick before heading to work, and it was incredibly satisfying and fresh. The creamy ranch dressing paired well with it, and the avocado dip was also tasty. The kale apple smoothie was delicious as well. I would definitely order from this restaurant again."

"I’ve been searching all over South Florida for authentic hard-shell tacos, and this place comes the closest to incredible homemade taco shells. I really enjoyed the three Birria Tacos (Birria de Res), the chocolate chip cookie was fantastic, and the queso (chips not included) was great too! I will definitely be reordering."
