"Had reservation, arrived and seated promptly. Went downhill from there, took 40 minutes to get appetizers and another 45 minutes still did not have our diner order.. Spoke with manager and waitress they apologizes and another 15 minutes still did not have diner. Ended up asking for check and went elsewhere for diner. Would not recommend this for a dining place."

"The menu is perfect with a classic American diner atmosphere. My friend enjoyed a delicious cheeseburger, while I had the country fried steak with the best mashed potatoes I've had since my mom's. The service was great, and we dined in for lunch. The price per person is between $10-20. I highly recommend trying the mashed potatoes and country fried steak. There is plenty of parking available."

"Wouldn't know if the food is any good because... The service is absolutely horrible. The management must think because they have a captured audience of folks staying in the hotel they don't have gto try to do well. I absolutely hate this place. To contrast it, there are three people working the front desk fiddling with their iPhones not even looking up or paying attention to guests. Additionally, there are two people making drinks behind the bar and not going out to take drink orders. MyRotary District has this place booked for mid September. I'm not returning and I'm a district officer. I'll do my best to get this relocated elsewhere. Worst excuse for a convention place ever restaurant."

"Nice place to eat in southern style. I had the Thursday lunch special, that was $8 and change. It was great with meat leaf potatoes and beet green as my sides. I had a little potatoes and gravy with every bite of meat, just as I like it and boy it was good. The sweet tea was good and not excessively sweetened. The desert was hot apple cake, which was just a tart and vanilla ice cream. I have nothing bad to say about this place. They do not take credit cards, but an ATM is on site and personal checks with ID are excluded, but this can only be for locals. Oh, and the service was great and so friendly."

"Not my kind of place. The bar / tavern had screaming, loud customers on a day when there was no one around. Really a tasting menu, teen plate, teen servings, bad value for money. The waitress told me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild - they weren't and had to spit out with a burning mouth. Really embarrassing when I was treated. Instead, they gave me asparagus. Your only vegetable. They didn't notice that my water glass was empty and I had to request it. Backless benches to sit in the tavern / bar, but you can request an uncomfortable chair. Not a place where you, like me, eat a lot of healthy protein and vegetables. I don't like leaving a restaurant where I feel bloated with too much food, but I don't want to go hungry either. The coffee was good after the meal."

"First impression: Busy! This place has an issue with lines. They form constantly at the front. It's good that they obviously have a strong following. This being my first time though I wanted to meals sure I rated them on the important stuff (atmosphere, food, price, service). The atmosphere is what you expect from a Route 66 style cafe. Music from the 50's and 60's plays overhead while you can hear orders being placed verbally to the cooks in the back. Hearing the jargon and report amongst the staff is great. Plastic tables and bright read booth seats galore. I will say this, even though they are busy they need to take the time to wipe down the tables better. Leaving wet food behind is just gross. Same thing with booth seats. The staff was marginally friendly. They did come by to refill coffee every few minutes. They also tried to make sure the orders were as expected. I had the farmers omelette, hash browns, and toast. The hash browns were good the omelette was a little more done than I prefer. It was good though but not fluffy or melty. Toast was as good as toast gets. Overall not bad. A little pricey. I have had better food for less money. Would go back someday if I end up around there again."

"We had to wait almost half an hour for our reservation, which was made challenging by having young children with us. The service was incredibly slow, with it taking 25 minutes just to bring a glass of wine. The food did not come as ordered - our spaghetti with meatballs was missing the meatballs, which were only brought in a small bowl after we had already finished our meal. Other dishes were just average. The total bill for our family of five (2 adults, 3 kids, 1 glass of wine, 1 beer) came to $100. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, but unfortunately, it was the only dining option available in the hotel (apart from the Chop House). I would suggest looking for dinner elsewhere, as this place is not worth the money."

"The food was delicious and the service was great. I had to wait a couple more minutes than the other for my food which was not a problem for me, even still, I was given free potatoes for the wait. That was a wonderful, unexpected touch. My ONLY problem was that I reserved a standard table but was seated at a high table. The two young children with us could barely reach the table and the high chair was too short for the table. The high table was facing the kitchen so it did not offer much a view for half of the table. I would definitely come back and cross my finger to be seated else where."

"I paid $38 for a meal consisting of tortilla chips, a fried egg, bacon, and coffee. Although this price included a 20% service charge, I felt that it was not worth the value. The flavor was decent, but I was expecting more. The bowl contained tortilla chips, possibly freshly fried flour tortilla chips, tossed in salsa verde and topped with a single over easy egg and a small piece of crumbled pork belly (which was really just a thin slice of bacon). My expectations were not met, and I left feeling disappointed. Unfortunately, there are limited transportation options available on-site, so diners should be prepared to spend a significant amount for their meal."

"Was craving a hearty breakfast, and im so happy and full! Got the American Sampler with blueberry pancakes, my over medium eggs were perfect, somehow even after being togo and delivered! Crispy bacon, it was all perfect. Got a side of Corned Beef Hash and it was large portion for the price! They remembered to give me a bag with ketchup, butter, syrup and utensils, with a happy face drawn on the side with silver sharpie. Made my day! Thank you!"

"On our first evening in Banff we decided to eat dinner at the bar in the hotel. The overall ambiance of the lounge is very inviting and we were immediately welcomed by Danielle the bartender. Danielle was very helpful to us in selecting one of the local craft beers. There are many awesome beer options. I ordered an Elk Burger and my wife had the Caesar salad. They were served in a timely manner and were both very tasty. Danielle was very hospitable and did well to carry on conversation with us and was helpful as we learned about the area and different tours and hikes that wanted to do during our visit. She made this a very good first night experience in Banff. Management should commend Danielle for her excellent hospitality and service. She noted us coming and going during our stay and always greeted us as we entered the hotel."

"Ate lunch here during our stay at Carolina Beach. I had Collard rolls, potato salad and fried okra. That was a special they had the day we were there. It was good. The Collard rolls were like cabbage rolls. My husband had the Cheeseburger basket. The burger flavor was great. Served on a buttered grilled bun(yummmo). The servers were polite and attentive. They did forget the onion and bacon that my husband requested, but the food was good. The diner is small, but we did get to eat in. I would eat here again. The tea is good too."
