"The restaurant is very large with both indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated at an inside booth which was very nice. The ambient noise is pretty loud and energetic. Conversation was a little difficult. our meals were delicious. We ordered pasta and shrimp and pappardelle Bolognese which were served piping hot. The servers were attentive in filling our water glasses and making sure we were satisfied with our meal. A manager visited our table to make sure we were satisfied. Parking can be difficult in the area so best to arrive early."

"Good food....fair to poor service from our primary waitress. She failed at the basics: did not greet us, did not offer to answer questions about the menu, did not ask how our meals were once they were served (by someone else I might add), hovered around our table looking for opportunities to pre-bus the table and I could go on. The whole experience felt rushed and awkward at times. She dropped the check without asking us if we'd like dessert or an afternoon drink. Needless to say, we'd return, but wouldn't be shy about asking for an alternate wait staff as this was among the poorest experiences I've had at a restaurant asking for $30+ per plate."

"The service and atmosphere were great. We ordered the steak, crab cakes, lasagna, Spaghetti Al Pesto and Tagliatelle Bolognese. The steak was good. The crab cakes were not worth the price and neither were the 2 pasta dishes. In my opinion, we could have had a better meal at another restaurant that we frequent for half the price."

"Bar Italia is one of our top go to places when we want a terrific meal and terrific service. The atmosphere is refreshing white and bright and inviting. The menu is varied with many choices especially if you like ceviche and of course pasta. Excellent for lunch or dinner."

"We ate at D’Corato Ristorante on Saturday, May 11, 2024 for a pre-Mother’s Day dinner, and the entire experience was amazing.The family-oriented restaurant was very cute and quaint, you felt like you were eating dinner in Italy. Even the chef came out to talk to us and made sure everything was perfect.This was our first time coming here, and we would now consider it to be our go-to Italian restaurant in Sarasota.We ordered Caesar salad, mussels, veal parmigiana and piccata, lasagna, and the pistachio tiramisu, and it was all a perfect 10.This restaurant is run the old-fashioned way like I remember growing up. Even the owner and his wife would clean each fork, spoon and knife to make sure you had perfectly shined silverware. The server also stopped by several times to make sure we were enjoying our dinner.We highly recommend D’Corato Ristorante if you want an amazing, authentic Italian meal in downtown Sarasota."
