"Astonishingly good food, but the service needs work. They have a counter you can order at, or you can do table service via a website, but there seems to be a lot of confusion among the staff over how to actually deliver those web orders. We ordered drinks, 2 meals, and chip and guacamole. One of our meals arrived 20 minutes before the other, our chips came after everything, and we had to go find our drinks on our own. The staff is very polite, they just don't seem to have a good system for delivering food. Again, I cannot overstate how delightful the food is. Everything on the menu is delicious, and worth going out of your way for. It's just frustrating to roll the dice on when or if that food will arrive at your table."

"I stopped in for a snack with friends the other day, and overall we were happy with the friendly service and the food accommodation. The waiter made sure my empanadas were vegetarian and one of my friends was without vegetables. They were seasoned liberally and crisp to perfection. Their house sauce was okay, but I couldn't get enough of their spicy sauce. For the price, I left pretty full."

"We frequent La Rosa regularly. Jocilyn is consistently friendly and offers excellent service. However, we are not pleased with their new policy of only offering "happy hour appetizers in the bar." It can be disappointing when you have kids and just want to enjoy a drink, appetizers, and feed them all in one place. I may reconsider attending next time. It should be noted that the bar and restaurant are essentially the same thing."

"We had an issue with our reservation. When we got to the restaurant the hostess told us that they had no tables and if we wanted to be put in the waiting list. I said, no, we do have a reservation and she proceeded to tell me that other people had reservations too, and that they had made them the day before ??? . She also said something like ah, you made your reservation on OpenTable , like that made a difference! I have never heard anything like it, so if you have a reservation is it still first come first served ? And, if it is on OpenTable you don 't have priority? They had an empty table for 6, which she said was reserved, but I guess at our insistence, the manager asked her to give us the table we were a party of 4 . Interestingly enough, no parties of 6 came at any time while we were at the restaurant. Once we were seated, everything was great. The food and service are consistent, we have been to that location a few times, and were not disappointed. Maybe they just need to train their hostess on what having a reservation means."

"The restaurant boasts a spacious layout with both indoor and outdoor seating. It's well-kept, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The menu features upscale Mexican cuisine, with a special emphasis on seafood. Ample pictures make meal selection easier. We were satisfied with all our dishes, particularly the black beans and the overall balance of flavors in our meals. The cocktails were expertly crafted as well. The homemade tortillas were delightful, the black bean soup was outstanding, and the shrimp was cooked to perfection. My wife loved her fish tacos, my mother-in-law enjoyed her fish and shrimp plate, and I ordered a fajita dish without green peppers. The fish empanada stood out as a highlight. We will certainly return, as we had an enjoyable experience and appreciated the high-quality food."

"We recently had dinner at this restaurant and had an overall good time, but there are a few things we wanted to mention that could make the experience even better for future patrons. The mashed potatoes were quite watery and soggy, which took away from what could have been a great side dish. Additionally, the beer, which should have been cold, was served lukewarm, and the glass that was meant to be chilled was barely cool. A colder glass would have really enhanced the beer. The service, however, was excellent—friendly and attentive, which we truly appreciated. One other small suggestion would be to adjust the lighting. The blue light fixture with water running through it, while unique, was a bit too bright and gave the atmosphere a slightly cheap feel. With these small tweaks, we're sure the restaurant could offer an even better experience."

"We ordered A tower of beer and they gave me to us with A plastic ice bag inside! That bag could of been dirty and it was floating inside our beer! Also the waitress made A mistake on our order and we got billed for what we ordered plus her mistake! The manager was condescending and was A smart mouth. She said all beer towers come with A bag of ice and that nothing happens if the bag has A tear and the beer gets watered down!!! Horrible service"

"We visited Rio for the first time and had a wonderful experience. We really enjoyed our meal! We began with the combination plate, which turned out to be a bit too much for the two of us, so we decided to share it. While our steak wasn't cooked the way we requested, it was still delicious. Our server was also tending the bar, which contributed to a less-than-ideal service experience; we felt they didn't check on us often enough and our drinks were emptier than we would have liked. Despite these issues, I would definitely recommend this place and would be happy to return."

"I waited 17 minutes for service after being seated, and during that time, I wasn't offered water or a menu. The food was quite disappointing. I was interested in the ceviche, but the server mentioned it was pre-cut, which indicated to me that it wouldn't be fresh. This information made me lose my appetite for it. Instead, I decided to order the lomito empanadas and the pollo. Unfortunately, the chicken in the dish was mostly potatoes with just a bit of chicken, which was ridiculous and tasteless. While the presentation was nice, it certainly wasn’t worth it. The empanadas had a strange sweet flavor, coated in sugar, which was odd for a meat dish. I wouldn't say it was terrible, but it was definitely not what I was looking for, and the sugar wasn't mentioned on the menu. I also had to ask for sauce, which should have been included. The server was friendly but only checked on us once, and someone else had to bring me the check. Even though it was a slow day, the service was still lacking. I won't be returning and would not recommend this place. An 18% tip was included for service that wasn’t delivered—no thanks."

"I will have to say this meal was in the top 3 of best meals I've ever had! This was my first time coming here and I will absolutely be back! I had the Steak and Shrimp, it came on this sizzling tower, it also came with some salad, fried rice andyour choice of soup or beans. I chose the soup, it had vegetables in it and it was very good! The shrimps were stuffed withcrab, the steak was smothered with seasoned mushrooms and it was all served on top of melted butter, delicious!! The servers arereally friendly, they asked if we wanted more chips and salsa when they saw we were low. Overall, it was a really goodexperience and I will be back!"

"Ricarena in Margate. Been about six months since we’ve last dined here, and the food is as good as ever. They’ve redecorated by removing all the vestiges of the old diner, so it looks more open. Absolutely try “Ceviche de Chicharrones,” which is fried pork belly with onions and a spicy dipping sauce, the Lechon Asado, which is dripping with juice and garlic mojo, the Lomo Saltado (Peruvian Chinese steak), and the all-day breakfast items such as the tostones with bacon, eggs, and guacamole. It’s heavy-duty pan Latino stuff from Colombia, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Peru, and other places — Chef Jose knows how to cook it all. It’s not light cuisine, so you’d better come starving. Food prices are incredibly reasonable, and the portions are huge here. Happy hour is ALL DAY LONG with 2 for 1 Margaritas and Mojitos."
