"We stopped here on a long road trip (Bay Area to Portland and ordered carne Asada Burritos and a shredded chicken burrito to-go. The owner was really friendly, he brought us around to pick our Jarritos. My son loved that, he also gave us a promo bottle opener. We would totally love to come back sometime for a proper sit-down meal. The menu looked like they have amazing brunch. The owner also mentioned that they have a garden area where you can enjoy your meal. The carne Asada was delicious. The burrito was perfect (and huge! and nicely wrapped with paper lining inside the foil. It made it easy to eat on the road."

"I encountered an issue with an online special that they didn't seem to know about. I ended up having to speak with a manager and show him their own website just to get the deal, which was a bit pointless at that stage. The food was decent but nothing to rave about, and I found it a bit overpriced. Our table felt like it was practically in the parking lot, and the loud music made it really hard to have a conversation. Am I satisfied? Not at all. I’d prefer to eat at Taco Bell instead of this place."

"This is truly the best Chile Verde I've ever tasted! The pork was incredibly tender, and the sauce was rich and flavorful, clearly cooked alongside the meat rather than just added at the end like at many places. They also have fantastic salsa and an extensive selection of hot sauces. I absolutely love this restaurant!"

"we stopped here when we hoped it would be good. we were completely blown away with eating. it is truly authentic Mexican cuisine. the tortillas and the chips are made fresh in the restaurant. the tortillas are the best I've ever tried. the flan is also authentic, very good. "Very, very good experience. We had a large party which is always difficult to seat four kids, four adults. We had a great experience from the minute we walked in the door. They were very concerned about seating us quickly and were very accommodating. We didn't wait more than 10 minutes before they had a table for all of us. The food was very good with portions that were just right. Be warned that they have a heavy handed pour on their drinks which is great! Lots of happy adults who were very loud in the restaurant. The staff was amazing with the kids making jokes, explaining things with patience and being silly. The kids loved it! We were really blown away with just an outstanding experience."

"my wife loves this place. for me eating is good, but average fair. the margaritas, on the other hand, are some of the best. in san mateo of hillsdale blvd. (menlo park is not so good) we always get the top rule, or that is what we call it. they go great with the house made salsa and chips. portions for most plates are generous. they get a good one here."

"Food is amazing but I was very disappointed. I ordered a large order for my daughter 's party and called the order in the day before. I gave a time for pickup and even called before getting there. The food wasn 't ready and I waited for almost 30 minutes for the restaurant to figure out a price . I felt that they were not prepared and it caused me to be late to my own party. Quality of food is amazing but due to their lack of preparedness and inability to price (which I felt was extremely high) , I rated it the way I did."

"My favorite neighborhood Mexican food joint in Vancouver. Their margaritas taste excellent. Their salsa has personality. I like the carnitas burrito better than the macho. I'm also fond of the Chile Colorado and steak fajitas. The largest selection of base spirits for a Mexican restaurant. A decent selection of mixers and liqueurs. Los Potrillos has a fabulous staff. They treat you really well. Especially if you sit at the bar. PRO Tip: Their Happy Hour is the best in Vancouver. A medium Cadillac margarita is only $9! "I want to clarify that my rating may not reflect the restaurant's specialties. The place was consistently busy, with a flow of customers coming in as others left. To be fair, most of the customers were Caucasian. I ordered the Vuelve a la Vida cocktail (a seafood cocktail), but it lacked flavor and presentation, and there was no way to adjust it. I’ve never seen a raw oyster expand like a pillow in a cocktail before. Perhaps I should have chosen something else, as everyone around me seemed to be enjoying their meals. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff was friendly. It seems I just picked the wrong dish. I would be willing to return and try something different, so I don't want to discourage anyone. Overall, my review is quite honest."

"Restaurant was very clean and up to date. Staff attentive and friendly. Quick service- in and out for a weekday lunch in less than an hour. Veggie fajitas lacked flavor-tasted like they had been boiled with no seasoning. Rice lacked flavor(in my opinion) however the others in my group said it was good. Chicken flautas were very good- I like a simple chicken -no veggies or too much spicy. Super crispy and not greasy like some places. Seafood burrito was very good as well. Queso was a simple non spicy queso-which is perfect for me. Ended up here due to billboard on highway. Traveling through to kc. We would return"
