"You absolutely have to check out this hidden gem! As we drove there, we could smell the delicious food from the restaurant, and it was definitely enticing. It's located in a small shopping center with just a few buildings, so it's easy to overlook if you're not paying attention. But once you find it, you’re in for a treat. My fiancé ordered the fish fry basket and loved it, while I had the Italian beef, which was exactly as it should be. When they asked if I wanted it wet or dry, I knew what to choose. I went with the wet and spicy version, and it transported me right back to the flavors of Chicago! This place is definitely worth a visit."

"I had stopped patronizing JJ’s because of such bad service-then I happen to stop by the JJ’s on 62nd and Capitol-Upon enter I was created by Lou who was kind, the lobby was clean and the food was great! I had order a catfish dinner and forgot it on the counter. I called the restaurant and was told to come back-I went the next day not realizing the staff made the dinner the day before.sure enough Lou gave me a slight tongue lashing with a smile and prepared me dinner. I went today and the same nice smile of Big Lou was there to greet me! Chicken was hot the fries were hotter and the lemonade/strawberry drink was refreshing! Needless to say I forgot my Pepsi ??‍-I work with the public and it’s rewarding to meet/visit an establishment that cares about people and community!! Thank you BIG LOU!! I will be back for my Pepsi!!"

"UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT Me and my family ate here on 9/9/2022 we ordered the Catfish dinner and a 2 item Combo with fried chicken and shrimp. Both meals came with fries. The Catfish was delicious and seasoned well. The fried chicken and shrimp was crispy and seasoned, the fries were cooked well a little greasy but delicious. I would go back again and refer my friends. New management and new taste. NO I was not paid for the review or offered anymore chicken. Although I am open to the free chicken???"

"This restaurant offers the best pasta dishes I've ever had. Everything is baked to perfection and topped with delicious mozzarella. The salads are fantastic, featuring some of the best tomatoes I've tasted. No matter the season, the tomatoes are always perfectly ripe. The house dressing, feta, and olives are also delightful. While I'm not a huge fan of the pizza, the baked pasta dishes are certainly worth trying."

When I inquired about available reservations, I was told there were none, even though I overheard them inform another customer that spaces were open. This was quite frustrating, and I’ve decided I won’t be coming back. "We just went to get JJ 's and it didn 't disappoint, except for the mac n cheese. I ordered chicken wings and shrimp with a side of mac n cheese, and my gf ordered hot wings. The wings and shrimp I ordered were hot, crispy, juicy, and awesome! The hot wings weren 't crispy, but a little soggy; the fries were killer! is what my gf said about her meal, but she wouldn 't order it again. I 've never ordered the hot wings here because the original flavor is amazing. Now to the mac n cheese... It tasted like it had lemon zest mixed into the cheese, which made it more tangy than anything else. It was kinda runny and wasn 't really good. I took a couple of bites and she took one before we both agreed that the mac n cheese was better in the trash than in our mouths. I won 't be ordering that mac n cheese again anytime ever... Overall, the food was fast, delicious (except the m&c), and flavorful as always and I 'll definitely be back to visit this location next time I 'm in town."

I was initially unsure about ordering from this restaurant, fearing I might end up with a pizza that had a bland, cardboard-like crust. However, I was happily surprised by the quality of the pizza – the crust actually tasted good! While I prefer a sweeter sauce on my pizza, this one was still delicious and far superior to the big pizza chains. The delivery was quick, and the driver was friendly. Keep up the great work!
