"We just went to get JJ 's and it didn 't disappoint, except for the mac n cheese. I ordered chicken wings and shrimp with a side of mac n cheese, and my gf ordered hot wings. The wings and shrimp I ordered were hot, crispy, juicy, and awesome! The hot wings weren 't crispy, but a little soggy; the fries were killer! is what my gf said about her meal, but she wouldn 't order it again. I 've never ordered the hot wings here because the original flavor is amazing. Now to the mac n cheese... It tasted like it had lemon zest mixed into the cheese, which made it more tangy than anything else. It was kinda runny and wasn 't really good. I took a couple of bites and she took one before we both agreed that the mac n cheese was better in the trash than in our mouths. I won 't be ordering that mac n cheese again anytime ever... Overall, the food was fast, delicious (except the m&c), and flavorful as always and I 'll definitely be back to visit this location next time I 'm in town."

The fish and shrimp were great but the young man suggested the beans and rice 4a side and it was nasty. The drinks were sooooo good the next day my lemonade was still tart, not watered down.

Do you have a seafood plate? Wels was wonderful, Snaper was dry, shrimp, ok enough of him to really say.. a lot about price for what I received (only in my opinion) a good choice would like to try other things, but I am not in a hurry.. Cashier was polite and professional. Establishment was neat..

Great menu selection if not a wee bit confusing. I had the shrimp basket witha piece of cod and fries. Everything was made perfect and I loved the crunchy cornmeal coating on the fish. They missed a star because their bathroom was out of order and how can you NOT wash your hands after such a meal? View menu

Food was excellent service was great. The sections were excellent enough to feed two people. I had the Wels-Nuggets with Pommes I got big. As I said, it was more than enough for 2 people possibly 3. Not only would I go back there, I'd tell my friends about it. The picture is my remnants after eating about 1/3 of them.

Great food. It is made to order so it was hot. The season was perfect for my fish and the shrimps were broken and just kicked right. I had my crispy. My husband had the wings and tore them. Food was outstanding service was great. The portions were outstanding more than enough to feed two people. I had the catfish nuggets with fries I got the large. Been to both locations of JJ's in Oakland West and East! My fried sole was delicious! Fried and seasoned to perfection not to mention the crispy well seasoned fries! Of course we all know it aint a real fried fish plate without the slices of white bread! My sides of greens and mac n cheese were ok nothing special and my butter cream cake was soft, moist and delicious!
