"This was my 2nd visit to Valentino's. First time, the food was very good. As was this visit. The problem came in when we were completely ignored for the the larger parties thatwere in the house. It seems you become insignificant to the waiters. We 2 of us) entered the restaurant at 6:45pm..15 minutes early. We were seated by 7pm. They took our wine and returned it in a chilled..Perfect! Then... that is where it went wrong for the remainder of our visit. A waiter came to take our order about 15 minutes after that. I asked if the vegetables in my order could be replaced with pasta. He said yes, he said that he would just place it in a side bowl. What actually took place was I was charged $8.00 for a side of pasta. We were then given tiny slices of bread in a basket with no butter about 10 minutes after the waiter took our order. Our appetizer was brought to the table about 20 minutes later. This where it got to be ridiculous....we never spoke to anyone for another 30 minutes. That was when they took our plates from the appetizer. Our main course came 15 minutes after that..cold!!! They came to collect our plates when I finished eating the cold fish and crab after about 20 minutes. That was decent timing. THEN, my wife asked for Tira Misu..mistake! That took another 10 minutes to receive. We asked for the check as we were receiving our Tira Misu. He returned in 15 minutes with our check. We signed the check and gave him our credit card. He returned immediately...I'm supposing that had to do with the people waiting at the doorway??? This was our 47th wedding anniversary and I wanted to take her somewhere special, instead it was a terrible experience which took well over 2 hours to receive cold food...a charge for spaghetti that was not suppose to be a separate dish, but a replacement for the vegetables. I had numerous Italian Restaurants to choose from that we've been to before..Lamberti's Caffe in Cherry Hill, Nunzio's in Collingswood, but we sadly chose yours!"
