"The service was timely and friendly from the hostess, to the servers, to the bussing staff. The menu was extensive with plenty to choose from for southern and northern Italian specialities as well as Marco creations. I had the veal chop which is the best I have had anywhere throughout the U.S. and Canada, including the Little Italy sections of many major cities., and the price was not ridiculous like it is in many places. I also had spaghetti with an oil and an abundance of sliced and chopped fresh garlic which was also outstanding We also had a Shrimp Scallop (wrapped in bacon) appetizer with a very balanced Dijon mustard and molasses (or a similar-tasting sweetener) mix. My wife had scalloped veal cutlets with shrimp and crabmeat with a garlic sauce. It was good, but she thought it needed something to give it more flavor which I agreed when I tasted it. It was cooked properly but needed something to give it a little more zing The next time, and there will be a next time, she would likely get a southern veal dish. She also had marinated asparagus which she said was excellent. Since we live two hours away and were in Deleware for the night, it is not a place we will get to often (but it would definitely be one if we lived closer), but we will go down that way just to go to Marco's and spend the night. "For an upscale elegant restaurant, food was very plain. Scallops arrived room temperature and had to be sent back. Fish meal was a slab of fish with no vegetable or decoration/accompaniment on plate. Chocolate cake was a thin piece of cake with nothing to enhance—no swirls of chocolate sauce, no dollop of whipped or ice cream. Didn’t seem like restaurant cared very much to impress customers like when I dined there last Fall. However, restaurant was good at fulfilling requests for food modifications. Not many customers were dining there no doubt because of these factors—too bad because it used to be a shining jewel in Rockland."

"Reservation for Valentines Day, so we expected the place to be a little busy. However, the complete lack of service was utterly mind baffling. We were going to be minutes late, so I called ahead just to let them know, and was told not a problem. If only I'd known.Got to the restaurant and stood in the entrance for about minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Finally a waitress comes up and says she just needs to take water to this one table and she'll be right with us, and if we'd like to take a seat at the bar and get a drink feel free. So we sat at the bar. Ten minutes later no bartender. Finally someone walks by, and we ask if we can get a drink. The guy rudely says "Well what do you want?" The actual bartenders comes back and takes our order I order a beer and my wife a cocktail. My beer gets poured, and then the bartender walks away without a word. The girl from minutes ago finally must have delivered that water because she came back and said she could take us to our table now. We asked her about the drink we were still waiting for and she was completely flustered. Keep in mind we'd been here for at least a half an hour now with virtually no service. We get seated and everyone around us is talking about terrible the service had been. couple said they'd been there for hours and only just gotten their salads. The young couple immediately next to us offered us their bread with a comment of "You should take some you won't be getting anything else soon"We wait about another minutes and no one comes back to the table. Based on the service so far and the feedback from the other tables we decided to get up and leave. As we were walking out the door the rude waiter from before was leaning over a chair chatting to another table, looked up and must have recognized us and again rudely and sarcastically said "Seeeee ya". Sorry to say, you won't. Truly a disappointing experience. Would not recommend this place to anyone"

"I used to go here a lot like 8 years ago. Today is 2023 and let me tell you I have eaten in a lot of pizza spots in the city where they claim to have the best pizza. This is the best spot in QUEENS!!! If you get a chicken slice your slice is gonna be stuffed. I highly recommend any chicken slice. Their regular is great too. Grandma as well. But every time I come here I get the Buffalo chicken slice and chicken Marsala slice. Trust me when you see it from the outside you might question the pizza but look at how much chicken they give you. Definitely need to try this place. I’m not getting any compensation from this. This place needs to be promoted for the great pizza they make."

"Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Forrest Hill. The service is unmatched. Marcello (owner and chef) and the entire staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Truly the best meal we’ve had in a while. Highly recommended! It’s an incredible experience. Menu is extensive and seasonal to a particularly high standard. Definitely fine dining. The ambiance is very welcoming, warm, and charming. Amazing wines, food and service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations, and Marcello can often be found in the dining area describing the entrees and making everyone feel welcome. Ideal for those who want a romantic night out. There was also plenty of room for bigger groups. When we think about celebrations, Maldini’s is always our first option and it never disappoints. From the starter to the dessert the quality and taste of everything was outstanding, the Branzino might have been the best meal I have ever been served. Service was delightful and very professional. 10/10. This is our absolute favorite restaurant in Richmond. The food is always fantastic and no matter what we order, we are always delighted. We can’t wait to return!!! Ciao..."

"This place is near one of our favorite date night restaurants so we have thought about trying it for some time. Today happened to be the day. I really don't want to say anything bad about it. But it started off for us with a creepy vibe from the guy at the podium when we walked in. After being seated, we looked over the menu. Brace yourself the prices are higher than you would expect. We made our selections and when the plates came out I was amused at the portion. For the price I expected ala carte servings. We found the food quality to be..neutral. We got out of there just under $100. Much more than anticipated. The wait staff were friendly. The bread basket and olive oil was good. Hard pass on the rice balls $3.25 each. That said, it certainly isn't the worst dining experience we have had. We enjoyed being out together so that was nice. I don't think we'll hurry back."

"The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and the flavors that I was looking for. However the service was disappointing. When my party of four had arrived and placed our order, we were the only ones in the restaurant and by the time we had left only a few of the tables were occupied. Still our waitress completely forgot about one of the pizzas we had ordered to share as a table. When we asked her about it she just kindof stared at us and wasn’t very apologetic. We ended up telling her to forget about it because our meal was almost finished anyway"

"This quaint little restaurant offers a pleasant dining experience. We opted for the lunch special, which featured penne all'amatriciana and angel hair pasta with tomato and basil. Each dish came with a choice of salad or minestrone soup. While the food was decent, I wouldn't say it was the best Italian I've tried. The flavors were rich but a bit overpowering, which overshadowed some of the more subtle tastes. The portions were generous, just enough to satisfy without overwhelming. The service was outstanding! The restaurant was quite empty, and everything was clean, including the restrooms. Prices were about $18 per person for the lunch special, which is reasonable for the area. Overall, I'd rate the food 3.5/5, the service 5/5, the atmosphere 5/5, and the value for money 4.5/5."

"I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and found it to be lacking in flavor - mostly tasting like butter with no seasoning. The portion of the large Caesar salad I received was disappointing for the price. However, the toasted cheese-filled ravioli was a highlight of the meal. The restaurant was empty when I picked up my order, with all booth seats and tables unoccupied. I am grateful I did not also purchase a pizza, as I have a feeling it would have been equally disappointing. Overall, my first experience at this restaurant was underwhelming."

"Aqua review My husband and I got married at Aqua Blu on 9/25/21 and it was the best choice we could have ever made! We got married at the Lavallette gazebo and our cocktail hour and reception was at Aqua with around 125 people. There aren't enough words to express our gratitude towards Cathy, Oscar, the bartenders and all of the waiters and waitresses. They truly exceeded all of our expectations! Cathy was there for our wedding night and everything went smooth and perfect (and if something did happen, i didn't know about it! We got SO many comments about how involved, accommodating and hardworking Cathy was the whole evening- it did not go unnoticed! Thank you Cathy for bringing our entire vision to life- the welcome table, the memory and Polaroid table, the most iNSANE cocktail hour and figuring out how to fit our very large band : Our guests CANNOT stop talking about the cocktail hour (many said it was the best they’ve ever been to! . The quality of the food and the presentation was truly out of the world. People are still talking about the muscle display, the freshness of the raw bar, and the insane antipasto table! Oscar and the catering staff absolutely blew us away!!!! Oscar- you are absolutely incredible at what you do! Our guests were served surf and turf (how many tradition wedding venues would offer this option?! None! and the food was incredible! The bartenders were absolutely unreal! All of our guests said they never waited more than 15 seconds for a drink. I apologize on behalf of my friends for making them make 100 espresso martinis : They were all SO sweet, personable, and made incredible cocktails with top shelf liquor. Our after party was held at the big bar and Oscar cheffed up some much needed chicken fingers, fries and pizza. ANYTHING that we wanted to do, they accommodated our requests. We wouldn’t have changed anything about our wedding and couldn’t be happier we chose to have it at Aqua Blu! You do not get this quality of service at a traditional wedding venue- I promise ! "The meal started with a basket of sliced white bread that was supposed to be Italian, but it was quite stale—it had clearly been cut around 8 in the morning and had been sitting out all day. The main course was unremarkable; I can't even recall what I ordered, and it was less than a week ago. I do remember the mussels appetizer, as the sauce was quite good, but the mussels themselves were old and had a fishy taste. I probably won't be returning."

"Hands down...BEST pizza I have ever had! Love the sweet sauce. Love the deliciousness of EVERY single bite. Been coming here for years. Even have been to the one on 63rd street! I live currently in CO, however it is a MUST when I come home. 2 thumbs up to Palermo's. They do not disappoint."
