"The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and the flavors that I was looking for. However the service was disappointing. When my party of four had arrived and placed our order, we were the only ones in the restaurant and by the time we had left only a few of the tables were occupied. Still our waitress completely forgot about one of the pizzas we had ordered to share as a table. When we asked her about it she just kindof stared at us and wasn’t very apologetic. We ended up telling her to forget about it because our meal was almost finished anyway"

Food is great but their menus were not updated and actually didn't have enough so we had to give up some of our menus to the adjacent table

This was my second visit. The food was fresh, authentic and flavorful both times. Cocktails we great. Service was exceptional. I'll be back again soon, for sure. I highly recommend this neighborhood gem!

This restaurant is not good at all. I suspect they are paying for positive reviews. The bread was stale, the lasagna had a strange sweetness to it, and the only decent thing was the pizza. How can you mess up pizza? Someone called this place a hidden gem, but I think they must live under a rock. View menu

We went to the numero on Carmine not first avenue. I did not know there were two of them.. But the pizza was so fresh and delicious. We ordered the inch half cappriciosa and half regionale... The cheese was so incredible and the sauce, no skimping there. I have had the pizzas delivered to my home, but eating outside there is the key to the best pizza

Every once in awhile you find a little gem. This is one of them. They serve authentic pastas as you would have in Florence and Milan. Cooked al dente, as it should be, with unique sauces. They are a treat. I did not have pizza which was doing a brisk business. If you are not full, try the mini cannolis. You do not have that perfect filling in 99% of Italian restaurants in NYC. Friendly knowledgeable staff. You will not be disappointed. It is quality food.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
