"We chose Havana 59 as the restaurant to help celebrate my mother's 90th birthday. It was easy from reservation to finish. The host was welcoming. The server was attentive and fun. The food and mojitos were delicious. It was a beautiful night and we were lucky to sit at one of the front inside tables beside the open garage doors. Mom was excited to share her surprise slice of tres leches cake with us. When we left, we were standing outside and the hostess came out flagged us down to see if we wanted a group picture. This was something unexpected and appreciated since we had meant to take a picture but had forgotten. Thank you to all at Havana 59. Will we be back? Yes! Will we tell others to check it out? Yes!"

"Great place to eat, it's open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I always recommend people visiting Dana Point to visit this restaurant. Whenever I am there, breakfast, dinner, doesn't matter, it's always a chorizo omelet. They are always generous with cheese and use quality ingredients. Lately, I have been eating their delicious bacon-wrapped onion rings."

"Food was fine like any other cheese cake factory. The menu is extensive and they have something for everyone! I got the vegan cobb salad and it was huge!!!! Definitely shareable. Full of fresh ingredients and very good! Appetizers were great hits at our table! We got the calamari, spinach dip, and the avacado egg rolls! All were great! Service by our waitress at the table was great! However the front desk host seemed to have mixed up our large party reservation and didn’t take note of the phone call (day of) to increase from 6 to 9 (like we were told to do well before the day of our reservation). And then we show up and told we would have to wait an hour, it just didn’t sit right. Eventually after waiting nearly 45mins to the hour (like they said) we were seated. Just sad to see other large groups getting seat before us when we were definitely all there and there before the other party. I am very understanding on busy nights, but this service by the host staff up front, was less than subpar and the communication method was not friendly. It could have been better. Guess just know if you have a group over 6, you will likely have to wait an hour for them to make adjustments, doesn’t matter much when you call ahead."

"We had a great lunch at Dish Society. The hostmanager was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our server was efficient abs the food was delicious. I ordered the chimichurri steak tacos and they were scrumptious. My partner ordered the brisket stuffed sweet potato and he loved it. The food was an explosion of flavors and textures on your palate. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. What a wonderful Birthday lunch experience"

"We decided to take advantage of the 1/2 price appetizers deal on Sunday night at this restaurant, but also ordered entrees. Despite ordering 4 appetizers for the table, only three came out one at a time about 15 minutes apart. After an hour of waiting, we still had not received the 4th appetizer or our entrees. We noticed our server leaving with her belongings and heard from a nearby table that she had quit. Nobody came to our table to explain the situation or offer assistance. Eventually, our entrees arrived from the kitchen without any explanation about our missing appetizer. We had to request the 4th appetizer that had never been delivered. Throughout our meal, our drinks were not refilled and we were never attended to by a server. We had to ask someone else for our check as well. Despite the circumstances, the prolonged wait for food and the lack of customer service were disappointing. Driving over 30 miles from a suburb of Houston just to dine here was not worth it, and we felt that our evening had been wasted."

"The atmosphere was beautiful... gorgeous restaurant and venue. Roland was very helpful, kind and informative (he just happened to be in the lobby and was kind enough to give us some information . The food was not great for the price. My husband ordered a filet... it was over cooked (he ordered medium rare we asked for fries as an extra but they didn't come until the end of our meal. I ordred a smash burger that was overdone. The brussel sprouts were the best I've ever had!!! The restaurant was gorgeous, but the food was disappointing (total bill $244.63 we won't go back to the restaurant for dinner but would probably eat at the tavern or the dockside because of the atmosphere. Enjoy the facility... just wouldn't recommend the Plank restaurant (other than the brussel sprouts!"

"Service is decent, prices are decent. The beignets are amazing. My husband liked the brisket and eggs. The lemon berry juice and cappuccino were very good as well. I ordered the smoked salmon avocado toast and was very disappointed. I was expecting slices of smoked salmon and was instead presented with a piece of toast covered in kale so I couldn’t see anything inside. When I dug through and found the salmon, it was in large chunks that were very hard and did not looked smoked. The overall construction was terrible as well. Everything else was good so I won’t sock them too far but I wouldn’t recommend the smoked salmon avocado toast at all."

"This is my second time coming to brunch at the Bellaire location with my girlfriends. We used to frequent the Heights location, but parking is always touch and go there. The Bellaire location has plenty of parking and the dining room seems larger. It may not actually be larger, but it feels that way.When my girlfriends and I walked in, there was a line, but it moved quickly. The cashier was friendly and you pay at the counter.I ordered brisket and eggs which also came with Gouda cheese grits and a biscuit. The biscuit is an up charge. I ordered a bottle of water from the cooler as well. The brisket and eggs was very tasty. This was my first time having it. The brisket was very tender and moist. The Gouda cheese grits were creamy and not too runny nor too stiff. The eggs were scrambled and seasoned with salt and pepper. I prefer my eggs scrambled hard, but I neglected to tell the cashier so I didn’t deduct anything for that in my review. My best friend ordered us a fancy mimosa carafe. We each were able to get 3 glasses from the carafe so it was a decent deal.The manager is very attentive and walks around the dining room making sure things are running smoothly. When we were in line, he asked us how many in our party and saved a table for us. When I ordered my water from the cooler, he opened it for me because he said the packaging was a little tricky. I remember him being very attentive, professional, and friendly during our last visit about 4 months ago.The people who clean the tables and bring out the food are also very kind.The bathroom was clean. My only complaint is that there was toilet paper on the floor in the stall. I think this was due to the number of small children I saw going in and out. I typically don’t use public bathrooms, but it smelled clean, the toilet was clean, and the floor did not have any liquids on it. A waste basket in the stall may help with keeping toilet paper off of the floor.If you’re looking for fast, friendly service, a nice atmosphere, and good food, give this place a try."

"This place is overpriced for absolutely no reason and they styled the place as though its so fancy when the food and the service don 't reflect. The omelette was drowning in cheddar cheese and the eggs were so thin, I had to scoop the cheese out. Plate came looking so plain and unseasoned. Waffle looks like a child threw it in the waffle machine and chicken was very greasy. I asked the server some questions about the menu and she knew absolutely nothing. Excuse me whats in the chicken sandwich? Response: Uhhh im not sure, probably tomatoes? Overall 2/10 experience"

"Kind of a odd place. Only open Thursday through Sunday. Very quaint in appearance. Sits right on the Rogue river with a great view. The service was ok, the food was ok. I had biscuits and gravy with eggs. It was just ok I've had better. But the place is interesting and unique. I will go again and try a burger or some thing they may be great. It's a big place. I'm sure they would do much better if open all week. Several friends of mine And i tried to go there several times and never found them open. So you need to go Thursday through Sunday. For a smaller town it's great to have a place like this."

"we used to eat here, but that was perhaps even a better experience than in pastness. the food and the prices were really good and the service was top notch. we were very pleased that we could order a bottle of bubbly only 5 minutes before closing the kitchen, and technically the total closing time (we were there for a jubilee) and they have accommodated us without complaint. they even let us sit for as long as we had to finish our toast and drink when they began to clean up at the end of the day. that's so different than some other places where we were, where they start to express you at closing. our only minor complaint was connected to lighting. we sat outside, which was great, but the lights couldn't be dimmed, which led to light an adjustment when the night came dark. Hopefully they will address this."

"The male owner treats his employees poorly, I'm surprised he doesn't have more sexual harassment cases against him. My niece worked for this place but quit after the owner and cook both made sexual comments towards her and when confronted they denied it. Other employees apparently have had similar issues as well. Don't support a business that only hires people to make inappropriate sexual advances towards them."

"I ordered iced tea, which was excellent. However, it was a little inconvenient that the drink menu was available only online rather than included with the food menu. I decided to try the salad with smoked chicken, and I was pleased—the chicken was flavorful and quite smoky. The salad was large, primarily composed of lettuce, but it was tasty nonetheless. My friend opted for a smoked chicken sandwich with fries and enjoyed it. As for the service, it was just average. We had to ask for a drink refill, which wasn’t offered to us, and our plates were left on the table until we were ready to pay, even though several staff members walked by and cleaned other vacant tables. Overall, the food was good, but I'm not sure I'd return when in the area."

"It was quiet when we had gone in. Not to many people dining and I think I might now why now. The ambiance is simple but clean looking. The waiter was very nice and kind throughout. However, the food was another story. The collard greens are very salty. The sweet potato was missing some flavor not horrible though and they through marshmallow on top not even toasted or somewhat melted. My son food was cold. My food was way over cooked. I took recommendation of waiter to get steak. I like mine medium. It came out very well done. The waiter took it back so quick for me and they made another one. I cut it while he was there. It was raw. When I say raw it was raw. I asked for manager, as this is not waiters fault and he had been very pleasant. She came I told her what happened including ordering kale salad that they apparently ran out of. I told her I ordered and asked for steak to be done medium. I opened the steak for her and said at what temperature do you think this is?? She said raw!! I said yes!!! I said I can’t eat this. She said let me make this right for you as this was first time visiting. I said you know it okay I’ll pass she said no I’m make it again and speak to them. I told her this will be third time maybe o should get something else. She assured me 3rd time was charm. When the 3rd steak came back. it was burnt and overcooked. You could see the burnt char in fact you could scrape it!! I at this point had enough and brought my plate personally to kitchen. The cook was mad the manager didn’t know what to say. I told them it was a shame and wrong and the third time why would you even serve burnt food. don’t think the steak could be cooked right you should have listened and let me order something else. I wish their was more attentiveness and that the rest of food could be hot not cold. Even the biscuit butter was so cold you couldn’t get to butter. The stress to enjoy a nice dinner out was ruined after even driving over 45min. I came in hungry left hungry."

"Half an hour for a drink order to arrive is too long. We ordered 2 rounds of drinks, both times it took at least 30 minutes for them to arrive. The restaurant was not super busy. The bar area had empty spots. The bar itself was half empty. It didn't matter if we ordered through our server or the manager. There was also the fact our server didn't check how our meal was. The quality of our meal was OK though some of the fried chicken was dry and lacking flavor. Isn't that supposed to be a specialty of this establishment (especially when the menu is mercifully concise and not too long)? But the enjoyment of the food was marred when our server made a big sloppy wipe of her nose while standing at our table."

"We had a wonderful breakfast at this restaurant, which offered an excellent selection of dishes. The staff were friendly and the service was prompt. However, we found the space to be smaller than we expected when our group of eight arrived. It's a seat-yourself place, and we were thankful that a regular customer let us know, as the staff were too busy to welcome newcomers. The seating arrangement was a bit awkward, with half of us in one booth and the other half in another. Despite this, we will definitely come back on our next vacation. Our table enjoyed the Irish Benedict, a grilled breakfast burrito, and southern eggs with sausage gravy on home fries. The portions were generous, and the food was cooked to perfection. If you're in the area, be sure to stop by this place. As for parking, there was plenty available, including electric charging stations. We had no trouble parking our 24-foot trailer in a dirt lot just across the street."
